I received this phone a month ago and was nervous considering this was my first time using a samsung device, but I was amazingly surprised at how accessible it was to me as an autistic girl. I have many preferences that my previous phones did not have such as the battery percentage actually showing at the top bar, the phone being specific and letting me know what I should do and what I shouldn't, the alarm app letting me choose how long I can snooze for, and just overall the quality of the phone and the beautiful colour I chose, awesome lilac, I recommend this phone for your next upgrade and I will be forever choosing Samsung!

Everything on the phone is great except for the fingerprint sensor not reading fingerprints most of the time. It works for a few times immediately after a restart but then falls into the issue of not reading the fingerprint most of the time. This is a major usability issue as I feel fingerprints are more secure than face recognition and more convenient. I had the Samsung A52s and no problems at all with than sensor. Screen protector are on both phones and I am using the Samsung branded screen protector. Would have given 5 stars if not for the sensor.
The transfer from A52 to A55 was very easy, with almost all settings brought across saving a lot of time.

I've had it one week now and still getting to grips with set up. But so far I am impressed. The camera is awesome and the display quality brilliant for a mid level device. The fact is has gorilla glass back and front is awesome on a device in this price range. The sound quality is good through the phone speaker. My only problem at the moment is getting bluetooth connection for call to work in my car (music plays fine but calls are not coming through). Probably just a simple set up issue I am yet to discover. The device is excellent value for money and unless you're a hard core gamer, paying premium dollars for anything else is crazy.

I bought this on release day because the back of my Pixel 4 was coming off and I needed a new phone asap. I would have given it 5 stars, except today I discovered that raw files are not supported. I am absolutely shocked that my 4 year old Pixel supported raw, and took BETTER photos than the a55, which has a higher mp camera. The photos are over-rendered, have jpeg artefact all over them, and look like digital camera photos from 20 years ago. Samsung, *please* release a software update that includes raw file support.

I've been using the Samsung Galaxy A55 for a few weeks now and I'm absolutely loving it! Purchased a fortnight a go and relieved and delighted at the intuitive get up and go with this first time non ios adventure. Had believed ios was the best and is infact excellent but has outpriced me to have that much money carried around in my pocket when the last ones rear shattered in a case .The a55 priced well and better in many ways for half the price . The screen, battery ,speed, looks great dressed up in its new case and can be now taken on my boat , walks , garden because it's not the end of the world if the worst happens . The camera is discernibly great . So yes very happy

I hadn't updated from my s20Fe because i had 2 main requirements. Micro sdcard, and esim. Finally this was it so I ordered this on release date and it hasn't disappointed. It's just as i hoped! The only thing is i wish there was 256gb variant or if the S series (or FE edition) had these requirements. I don't know why Australia only has the 128gb model but other countries have 256gb. One other thing is the A series doesn't have support for remote control for camera with the Samsung watches, i only found this one out later as I never thought Samsung would do such a thing (I've downloaded a 3rd party app, so that's okay) overall happy but would love some answers why.

I have had my new phone for a month..first of all my previous a53 was a gem, i accidentally drop in water while fishing 2 years prior to replacing it. It kept working with the ear head set only until i could afford this new A55 which was amazing which im grateful for. The transition from the old phone to the new was very easy and not losing any of my previous data, contacts and apps.. I love the comfort of the new external styling and new features while learning about newer features everyday, the picture quality is smick..the price was great!!! One special feature that I really appreciated is the medical information tool access to others if needed...in an emergency..Thank you Samsung ...simply the best.

My A30 finally died, having limped it through cracks in screen, charging issues etc for way too long.
I bought the A55 a month ago & am annoyed I didn't buy it sooner.
The only down size is the phone is quite slippery. Grab yourself a case/cover to make it easier to hang onto.
I've received so many compliments- people thinking it's a high end phone but on a budget
Packed with enough features for everyday use. I'm constantly running podcasts, googling. Jumping across apps.
Having read other reviews about issues with the fingerprint sensor - I was a little concerned but have had no issues with this feature.

Had this phone for a week or so now as I had to switch to a 4 or 5G phone as 3G is being phased out. I went for a mid-range phone as I thought I wouldn't use all the features of a top end one. I am no means a "techspert" but this phone amazes me every day. Every day I'm finding new features and little things that I thought I would never use, but thanks to the intuitive interface and helpful hints and tips the phone gives me, makes it a lot of fun to use. The camera is awesome and the results are better than I would have thought from a phone. I would have no hesitation in recommending this phone to anyone.

I bought this phone a couple weeks ago, and so far it has been amazing, one of the main features that I have used a bit that is really useful is Google's contacless payment, this is great for times when I may not have my wallet on hand and I need to pay for something without there being a huge hassle. Another great feature is how easy it was to convert/transfer my old data and info to my new one, using the SmartSwitch app it was easier then ever. One final feature I love is the fingerprint login, this is really simple to use and slows down the process of signing in to your phone by honestly quite a bit.

I recently purchased this phone for myself and I am blown away with how well made this phone is. The cameras are very good and take crisp photos and videos , one feature that I love would be the ai powered editing that has been equipped. This is something really revolutionary. The screen is very smooth and highly responsive , however at some stages the screen feels a little dull. Finally one small issue that I have faced was the transition from my old phone as I ended up losing quite a bit of data, maybe this is just on my end but if not then it would be helpful if it was a bit more smoother.

I am pleased with my purchase because it does everything that I need from a phone. I particularly needed a phone with E-sim support and the Galaxy A55 provided that. I don't really need the extra AI features currently found on the more expensive phones. I really never use these added features. The A55 is slim, has a bright screen and suits me just fine. Only problem that I have had is obtaining a case for it. It is larger that the prior A series phones and the strip phone dealers don't carry cases that fit. This will eventually change as A55 phone will certainly make sales because it is good value.
I am a limited user of all of the bells and whistles but if you need a phone with a good camera, 5G, E-sim and solid software this could be the choice for you.

I had to replace my previous phone at short notice. My budget limited the range available to me but after choosing the A55 5G, I was not disappointed at all. While there is a difference in performance between this phone and the S24 range, the A55 5G really excels and is seamless for everyday non-intensive phone use. It has all the features I need for a bargain price and was extremely easy to set up by transferring apps and data from my old phone.
The only negative point is that the phone's exterior is extremely smooth and slippery which makes it difficult to handle. Without a case on the phone, I found that it would slide out of my pants when sitting down or hard to hold when my hands were sweaty.

I've had the A55 for a little over a week now. So far the phone has proven to be great, particularly at the price. Speed and features are good. Camera is much better than my previous phone, and the screen is super clear and responsive. My only gripe is that the cameras protrude from the back (like a lot of other models mind you), and the phone therefore doesn't sit flat... a minor issue possibly, but I now have to be more cautious about where I put my phone, because it has a tendency to be unbalanced and fall.

If it had the ability to wireless charge it would get alot better rating, not sure why it's a design feature on all phones to have pronounced cameras, being the most fragile part needing protection

I purchased this device a few weeks ago and I am pleased to say that it is the perfect device for all day-to-day activities. It is also capable of some decent gaming performance. The build quality is wonderful for a phone of this price point. The choice of the camera lenses are perfect for my needs and the OIS is a great add on. I just wish the cameras (mostly the macro) had a better quality. Sometimes my lips don't sync with the audio during videos which I don't like. I would love to see more of the Galaxy AI features if possible as I really like that they added circle to search on this model. All in all, a great device though! There is nothing I feel I am missing. I am glad I made the switch to Galaxy.

Phone is slippery without a case, chunky phone and uncomfortable to hold. Got this phone for 530 AUD in Australia. Would not recommend paying anything over 550 AUD. I wish the Australian version came with dual 2 physical sim cards and SD card. The Au version has one physical sim and esim. Phone is OK nothing spectacular in terms of performance.

I have always had a 'S' series phone on a plan but decided to purchase a phone outright and move to very affordable monthly plan with a second tier carrier (on the Telstra network). Whilst I would have loved a new S24 Ultra I opted for the A55 because it's great value for money and has all the features I need as a non-gamer and infrequent photographer. It's modern and has a great aesthetic. Most importantly, it's very user friendly. The data transfer and set-up process was a cinch.

I purchased this phone on April 6 at about 4PM. IT was fully setup by 5:30PM (all apps transferred from my A71 and passwords entered where necessary). I used cable transfer which is so fast. I am extremely pleased with the performance and quality of this phone - fast, clear and great sound. I have not found one thing to criticize on the device. The anodised aluminium sides are exceptionally attractive and substantially add to the look and feel of the phone. Great work Samsung!

I began with the very first S1 Galaxy and have upgraded through the years between the Note and S series and this is my first A series after my husband recommended the A series to me. The A55 midrange is definitely NOT a downgrade from an S20 Fe flagship. Larger screen, much smoother, faster, beautiful photos and videos.

Bought this phone due to upgrade from A54 in which I upgrade yearly which a series phones as the price is not $$$$ I have had A series along time first A70 A71 A72 A73 A54 A55 but this phone is like a memory for my as my all time favourite A series was 2014 A3 in navy blue and it was flat edge and aluminium frame so samsung has finally given back aluminium to the A series as it was plastic but good enough but its 2024 so I expected glass and aluminium at Least now there using titanium. For all this phone is amazing and is capable gaming device and performance is amazing

i have only had for a week but i have owned many of your models including the 7 edge with one of the first watches. this A55 is the best yet but know i am a pensioner so can not afford the new watch. Samsung is the very best on the market. this is why i buy them had to save to get this new phone but it is worth it.

I have always been a S series user, but this time around, I couldn't go past the new A55 5G for price, performance and that unmatched battery capacity. I can use this phone all day.
Navigation, browsing, social media, messaging, camera and, oh yes, phone calls too, and still have battery life to spare. My previous phone was an S20, and despite what the specs say, there is no noticeable difference in performance or features. Antenna strength is important to me, the A55 5G ticks that box too, deserving it's recognition by Telstra and receiving that all important Blue Tick. 5G and Dual sim to boot, so you can work and play on this device no problem at all. And did I mention the battery life? Of course I did, in my opinion it is the A55's party trick. Whilst it is bigger and heavier than what I have been accustomed to, I am liking the bigger screen (and battery). And the fact that the screen is flat, makes it so much easier to fit a screen protector. All things considered, I feel the A55 5G is definitely an upgrade.

I bought the A55 as I smashed my google pixel 7 pro, I didn't want to spend loads of money again, but wanted to try and find a phone that was decent in speed and decent camera, I had an oppo phone worth 240 I used in the interim and is quite slow but for the price expected. I found the samsung A55 on special for 499 and being a samsung galaxy model I gave it a try.
I have found for the price it has exceeded my expectations, and for the money I paid it's not far bellow the more expensive phones if not near on par really.
Really impressed with the phone.

2 hours after full charge and use, saw battery was running low fast, had to google to shut down and remove Apps i didnt need to conserve battery power, why Samsung put these usless Apps for a new phone.

I usually have bought Google Pixel phones, but lately they are beyond my budget. I hadn't owned a Samsung phone for many years, but the 'A55 5G' was a much better deal. I was able to adapt to the Samsung system quickly and now find it easier than the Pixels using the menu buttons on the lower screen section. The speaker is clear and loud, the screen bright and clear. Cameras these days are all usually all very good, and this phone is no exception. Real camera work would be done with dedicated cameras, and phone cameras are usually for snapshots. The case is strong, battery life is great. A bit slower to charge than some, but OK for everyday use. I feel I have a premium phone for one around third the price. Very happy Samsung owner!

Bought the latest Samsung A55, a couple of weeks ago coming from a A71, the phone is certainly much faster, very similar features but did have issues trying to set up the notification sound for text messaging but finally got it sorted, have found that with phone calls the person on the other side can sound a bit tinny. I haven't changed my phone for nearly 3 days & still have 12% left. Overall a great phone & happy with it so far. Would recommend getting a cover first, it is really slippery so can easily drop out of your hands or fall off a sofa!

The A55 was a birthday gift, replacing a previous A series phone. I've been using it for a week, still getting used to it. I'm not sure that an eSIM is a wonderful advantage after having a dual SIM system working well. I haven't found how to set the access PIN in a way that doesn't require pressing OK once PIN is entered. Some file formats that were recognised in previous phone aren't recognised on the A55. However, Bluetooth is far more stable than the previous phone. It's a bit bigger and heavier than the previous phone, but faster to boot.

I got this phone in March 2024. It is easy to use and I got a deal with $100 cash back on my old mobile. The phone is lilac and the charger from my Samsung 10 fits so I didn't need a new charger. It is slightly larger and heavier than my old phone, but still fits in my pocket and my bag. Highly recommend this phone. It does everything I need it to and was great value for money.

I upgraded from an Oppo phone and found this one to be very quick with internet searches, camera quality is excellent and the size is perfect.
It wasn't difficult to transfer over from my old phone and it has a lot of other features I'm still discovering which have been helpful. Price is affordable compared to other models and does everything I need it to do for personal use.

I bought this 1 week ago and the shop assistant was so efficient in helping me transfer all my apps and chat history from my old Samsung phone to the new phone. This makes my transition to the new phone so seamlessly easy. The new feature of this phone also make my usage so much more pleasant and efficient, like the screen which is finger print mark resistant, the options and features are also very good and handy, like the new ring tones and I can't find any fault with it. The price is so good too as I bought during EOFY promotion.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy A55 for my wife about a month ago and we both could not be happier with the build quality looks and the features that make a high tech phone simple to use for a non Techy user !
I don't get any more of "can you help me with this or why is this not working?" Samsung has hit the sweet spot with this phone and the only thing I would really love is the ability to use the phone to enable auto calibration of of my new Samsung OLED (also a great product), as this option is only possible with higher end models.

I recently upgraded my Galaxy 9 phone ( which is still working very well after 6 years, but a bit tired) to an A55. My new phone has a slightly bigger screen which like. The screen is incredibly clear with great definition, and as I read a fair bit on my hone, the size is great. It maybe isn't a good pocket size, which might not suit some, but I'm not a pocket phone person, so I love the size.
It's fast, the battery lasts 2 days, the features are great and I'm enjoying learning the more advanced camera features. I love it.

Bought two Au model from samsung.com.au, both are having mobile network connection issue. Drops out from both optus and telstra network every couple of hours at random locations. Sometimes it'd recover after 10mins, other times it'd require toggling fligh mode to resume service.
Oversea 12gb ram model appear to work fine.
Has to be a firmware glitch? Anyone else experienced the same issues?

I have been using the Galaxy A55 for a month now replacing my S20. Even though A series is the cheaper version of Samsung the quality is up there. Plus buttery life, camera, design. I got this phone as a successor of my old Galaxy S10.
Initially I was not sure about going to "down grade" from S-series to A-series as I have been using S-series from Galaxy S4 era.
However, considering the spec the Galaxy A55 5G, there is not much to worry about the performance. It is responsive, first enough to flick through between apps. And it has IP67 dust and water resistance, so I do not need to worry too much about splashing water while I am operating phone. And large 4,860mAh battery.
Only down sides are the bulkiness and rack of 3.5mm audio jack. It is huge phone. Especially when you put protective case on top of the phone. Thickness is main concern. It feels like I am carrying dictionary in my pocket.
Over all, I am quite happy with the change.

I bought this mobile a couple of weeks ago and transferring all my data from my old mobile was easy. I find the phone to be good overall. Fast, reliable and good battery lifespan. I just wish the photo and video quality were better. The photos aren't super focused or vibrant and it seems blurry when panning across something and recording. Also, there was no need to change the location of the Bluetooth connection icon or the method of taking a screen capture (I prefer the click button method over the screen wipe).

Overall I'm very happy with this phone, especially since I used my 20% student discount and got the free buds. It's fast, good looking and I haven't had any real issues so far. I few features that I wish it had. Being able to zoom whilst using the 50mp camera. The settings, as it does give us a lot of options to customise it to our needs. I struggled to find a lot of the more fun settings, spending quite a bit going through the extra options at the bottom of each category. But overall this phone is worth it.

I got my new A55 Samsung 2 weeks ago, upgrading from a Samsung A20 and I'm very happy thus far. I'm happy that a lot of the layout it similar to my A20 so there hasn't been a big learning curve for general usage, and the phone is only a few mm bigger in length and width - barely noticeable to hold, but to the eyes it seems heaps bigger on the screen. It's great to have more RAM (8) compared to the 3 on the A20 and more storage 125G instead of 30G because that was causing a lot of problems on the old phone. The only downfall so far is that my apps wouldn't transfer across from old phone through Smart Switch, but my husbands transferred just fine to his A55 (bought at the same time) and neither of our A55's will now connect to our Android TV through SmartView, when the old ones did. Even though Smart View is on the A55, the TV won't connect to it - that's frustrating because we used to screencast our phone to the TV quite a bit to watch catchup tv and streaming services. Good phone. Very good value for money.

After breaking my Samsung galaxy note 10 +, I needed another phone for my son, he hasn't gotten it yet as I'm still so busy playing with it. It is amazing, I have the samsung galaxy s24+ as well. I didn't go for the ultra as I have problems with my hands and didn't like the sharp square edges. Anyway, I've never looked at the mid range phones before but I wouldn't hesitate now that I know what they're like. It has blown me away with the technology it has and a much more economical price point, especially as it will be going to my son soon. Other than not wirelessly charging I can't feel or see a difference in the 2. Great phone and it can even take a SD card as well. I would quite happily use this phone for myself had I not already purchased the S24+. Great job Samsung.

I bought A55, I was not sure about the A55 and A35, I found very good deal on CASTCO and pay for A55 almost as A35.
Just not happy with the camera design, if you don't use the frame protector more lucky damage the camera. ( camra is coming out of the frame)

I've had the phone for a week now. I have finally updatwd all of my bits and pieces, (I think!?)
I haven't updated my phone in 5 years but this has been a pretty easy and smooth transition.
I'm finding new options, add-ons and features each time I sit down and explore the phone.
Overall I would definitely recommend the A55 5G especially at this price point.
The only reason I have marked it down is I'm having issues with my biometric ID my fingerprint doesn't always register to open things.

I lost my Samsung 10 in a creek and needed to purchase a new phone ASAP as I was travelling on my own.
I always purchase my phones outright.
I chose the A55 for affordability, amazing camera and larger size that fits comfortably in my larger hand.
Because I had no sim or phone to transfer from, this had to be completed from scratch, which was very straightforward following the prompts.

Compared to my old A50, it has a slightly larger screen, notably thicker and a touch heavier. The extra thickness and weight probably come from the larger battery and water resistance. The speed is much faster, the bigger apps I've got run very smooth now and it is nice to have the 5G cellular and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The copy across from the old device was impressive, it installed all my old apps, but as expected I still had to sign into most of them again. Very happy with the move.

I bought this phone for my mum and she loves it a lot, specifically how easy it was to transfer all her data from her kast phone to her new ones, since this phone had a lot more space. Even though the camera isn't top if the range, images are still very crisp and clear which is good for taking picture of the fur babies.
The battery life is good 👍 we only have to charge itevery couple of days since we don't use it all day.
Side note: it runs mobile games smoothly and doesn't overheat!

I bought this to replace my A70 that had become a bit "tired". The transfer of apps and data was easy and fast using the Samsung app. Once setup, the first thing I noticed was the bright, crisp display that gives a clear view, even in sunshine. It really shows photos at their best. The camera is also a great feature even in low light conditions. I've been impressed with battery life as it delivers true 'two days between charges' performance. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.

So far all good, just getting used to the Samsung features again after using a Motorola for my last phone. Different features & screen set ups on the 2 types but back to Samsung now.

I bought this camera to replace a previous, simpler A series phone. So far it has proved its worth. Photos have been good to excellent. Zoom long dishors are a bit grainy however.

Good quality. Very happy with its performance & camera. Would prefer a small size more comfortable to hold (I am female). The battery does not exactly last 2 days as advertised.

I simply used different galaxy S phones previously. Somehow I was hesitant to move to this A series Afraid to lose what I had. Once I got Samsung A55 it surprised me with it explosions of great look, the way to hold it in my hand and the truly useful features.
Battary life was at another level and never suffered from battery loss.
I truly love this phone and Samsung done well having this phone without the big price tag.

My previous Galaxy A52 G4 was an excellent mobile
However, as it was 3 years old I decided to upgrade to the new A55 5G
I am delighted with my new Galaxy A55
It much faster than my recent A52 especially with its WiFi 6
The screen resolution is excellent as well
The battery also has a much better duration
In addition, I purchased my new A55 from Samsung on line which was a seamless experience including trading in my old A52 back to Samsung
Delighted with my choice

I was forced to replace my old but very much trusted and loved A52 after it suffered serious damage.
I don't need top of the range phone such as the S series so settled for the A55 as it was very similar to my A52.
Sadly, the new phone didn't provide even half the quality my old phone did.
Camera is a big disappointment, battery runs flat super quick, A55 is slightly bigger so doesn't fit where the previous used to.
Quote disappointed with this phone from Samsung.

I came to this phone because i wanted an upgrade, the last time i used a samsung was on a A73 and before that i used a A50 so im used to the A series, this phone is amazing, the screen is great and the cameras are really good, some random blur, and maybe sometimes the colours are off (making white lighting seem like orange), one complaint i have is the phone design itself can sometimes be uncomfotable to hold, as the cornersdig into your palm, so a case is necessary
