This is my 4th Samsung phone . All have been excellent and trouble free . The Z fold 5G is the best by far . All the usual great features , like Camera and easy to use apps . If you enjoy the endless supply of videos from You Tube and Tik Tok it's spectular. Netflix and other providers perform flawlessly . The battery life is excellent, and can be used in conjunction with a seperate keyboard and stand . Perfect for those emails and office duties . The fold out screen , can operate as 2 independent screens , that can share files . Can be used as a conventional mobile , by using the single front screen . I love my new Samsung Z fold 5G .

I can't help but think that the Fold 5 should come with a S Pen as standard. Was disappointed when I opened the box only to find no S Pen as the display phone had a pen beside it. I think Samsung missed an opportunity here. The Samsung case with slim S Pen is not of Samsung build quality and you will find many people who give the product a 1 star rating because the Pen is prone to falling out of ita spot. Samsung, you are getting closer to perfection, but not quite there. My friend nearly lost her Pen from the Samsung case and we looked into it and found it a common complaint. I still love Samsung. They'll learn and get it right next time.

I converted from my S22 Ultra due to great black friday deals. I loved my ultra but I really wanted to try the fold innovation. I'm glad I took the plunge. I love this phone, everyday I come across a reason I love the fold, especially due to the multi tasking power when working between two apps to copy information or drag and drop a file or image. Samsung really have thought about everything with this technology. Additionally the original Samsung case with the S-Pen is very well built and does not increase the size of the phone to much. The phone build feels strong and the hinge is solid and works well when using flex mode. You'll love it.

Overall, though, the Fold 5 comes out just ahead. It’s meaningfully lighter, which makes a difference when you’re using it folded for long periods of time. There are more multitasking options and ways to take advantage of that big inner screen, and battery life is better. Those aren’t huge differences, but they’re important ones when you’re talking about a folding phone you’ll want to get the most out of.
Samsung may still have the lead in the foldable race, but the gap is closing. If it wants to stay ahead, it’ll have to do more next year than just nip a few millimeters and pop in a new chipset. For now, though, that’s just enough.

I got my galaxy fold 5 a week ago and wasn't too sure how I felt about it at first. Now I love it and honestly don't think I could go back to a normal phone. I have always been cautious with foldables due to them being more fragile then normal phones however I was never more wrong. This phone has been awesome and the new hinge design has made this phone more durable then ever whilst also being amazingly slim. The phone is really light in my hands and slim in my hands with it being perfect to use in phone mode or tablet mode. This is also the fastest phone I have ever used with its new chip being really fast and amazing on battery.

Hello,
I have been using Samsung mobiles for the past 15 years, and recently I bought the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It has been excellent for my office work, especially for checking and replying to emails, as well as viewing spreadsheets and PDF documents. The larger screen makes it ideal for reading PDF articles, and watching YouTube videos is a great experience due to the bigger display. The sound quality is also really impressive, which enhances the overall media experience. Additionally, listening to music and viewing photos is fantastic. I really like this phone—it has made my life much easier. I wish the best to Samsung.

I have had my Z Fold5 for almost 2 weeks now and life has never been the same coming from my old S10. I love the picture quality that is magnificent at any time of the day. The scan feature when taking a picture of any document is so convenient. The fold function and design into a mini tab makes the viewing and navigating so much easier and can read a book or document so effortless. The sound production either making voice calls or just listening to anything using the phone speakers is second to none. The battery appears to last a fairly good amount time, at the moment based on my usage. I would recommend anyone seeking a value for money gadget to give it a go.

I bought a Zfold 3 two years ago and love everything about the fold, so I was excited to purchase the new Zfold 5 last Monday. I intended to purchase the discounted Samsung Care+ as heavily advertised, as the prospect of owning the fold without Samsung Care is cost prohibitive. The Samsung Care promotion was not honoured and I've been waiting 7 days for a single response to my enquiry. My new Zfold5 is sitting in its box still, as I'm too afraid to use it without Samsung Care. I'm waiting for assistance and any communication from Samsung Care.

The camera is just lacking. I love everything about the Fold 5. I was worried about the form factor having small hands but it just feels comfortable. The internal screen blows you away every time and after a days adjustment the front screen is fine for everything from a quick text to checking for directions. I am just let down by the camera. In daylight I have snapped some spectacular shots but in any low light situation I can't seem to get the kids/cat to stay still for long enough to stop the blur. I'm really hoping that with a few updates there could be improvements on this because it's truly a life changing device!

Bought this 2 months ago for both work and for my gaming. It’s incredibly well-built, solid and the first in its generation to fold completely flat is a pleasure to see and handle daily.
Folding and unfolding the screen has not been an issue either, where used properly and with due care, I don’t see it being any concern even in the coming years.
Able to multitask for my day-to-day work needs and in my downtime, YouTube and Netflix have never been so enjoyable on the large screen, and its ability to handle all the latest Gpu heavy games is just a bonus.
No complaints at all and is a pleasure to own and use!

Obviously it is a radical form factor. I had had a couple of associates with Fold $'s who were positive. My Note 10 was getting a little tired and the early bird offer of the buds an watch tipped me over. Been living with it for a month now and starting to really appreciate the extra real estate. VERY annoying it does not come with a pen or pen holder and yet ANOTHER EXPENSIVE pen variant. However fair choice of cases out there with pen holders so I am working my way through. You look at it and see the crease but day to day you really don't notice it. Screen works well..

I first owned this device shortly after it was released and I have been delighted by it. I purchased it alongside an S pen case and it has been invaluable in my studies and media consumption. The main screen is large and vibrant with a lovely OLED display and a 120hz refresh rate making playing Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero a delight.
My main gripe with the phone is the bulky size when folded and the narrow outer display (though the outer display is intended to be used to check notifications and control music, it can be used with full functionality.). I also would have liked to see the S pen included within the device itself, as the s pen case adds to the bulkiness.

I have no regrets spending the cost on Fold 5 as I am really impressed with the features and the big display. I don't use my ipad anymore since I have got this big screen phone which allows me to use multiple apps at a time.
I can play game on half screen while watching netflix series on another half.
I thought it wouldn't be easy to carry or fit it in my pocket, but surprisingly it is perfectly fit in my pocket or not too heavy to carry.
It is possible to use almost all features on its front display which is very impressive. Overall, I am pretty happy with the performance and battery life of the mobile.

This is by far one of the best phone I have had Since the era of smart phone had started. I used Samsung Note, IPhones then I bought Samsung Fold 4 last year and I liked it most. But when I saw this year new design of Fold 5. I immediately decided to replace my fold 4 with fold 5. I love the design, folded properly, brightness, features and above all this phone replaced my Kindle. I am very fond of reading history books. Now it is very easy for me to read the book on the phone. No need to carry kindle with me. Also many other feature like highlighter importants things, taking note, can record audio in note or many more. Still finding new features everyday. Well done! Samsung.

It's been so good having a phone with a narrow front screen for easy one handed use. Then open it and it's just like a tablet that fits easily in my pocket. If you wear tight clothes then maybe you'll have issues but for general shorts and pants it's fine.
So many options with the Good Lock app and it's such a perfect phone for me.
The only issue ive had in the 2 weeks I've had it is the case that samsung sell for around $120. The s-pen doesn't stay in the case and keeps popping out when you hold the phone normally, as your fingers touch it and roll it out of the case without touching the release button. I've submitted a request for a new one to see if that's any better

I purchased this phone a few months ago and it is already playing up - the text screen jumps and I cannot see what I am typing - it is hidden under the screen (its hard to explain!). The phone also goes in to power save mode when I am watching a video. I purchased this from BuyMobile in Robina QLD - they told me (in the same sentence) that there were no issues with my phone that their technicians could find....but that this was also a known issue with Samsung phones and that I needed to take it up with Samsung. Maria was the worst - very rude and insulting. I have reported them to the ACCC and have sought legal action, and will be seeking compensation as well as a full refund.

First foldable so was excited to get my hands on the Fold 5, and I must say it did not dissapoint. I'd been holding off because I did not like the gap of the Fold 4 (and below) when closed. No such issues on the 5! Been a user of various S series so quite familiar with One UI, but still impressed with what it can do in terms of multitasking on the bigger screen. The only slight complaint for my usage is that the battery is just OK rather than great. I usually manage to get through the day with low single digit percentage left but even so, it's too close for comfort without packing a battery pack in my bag.

Bought this phone as a replacement to my S21 Ultra as I wanted a larger screen due to my needs. First and foremost, the performance of the phone is amazing, the 120hz screen for both large and front screen are butter smooth. The colours are crisp especially when using it to play games. Watching videos on youtube, twitch, and disney+ are a treat. The screen gives justice to the shows I was watching. The customisability of the home screen are amazing as well.
The cameras are ok, need a proper lighting if you want to fully utilize the quality of it. Decent enough for landscape and portrait photos.

Had this Mobile phone / tablet for nearly a month now and hesitated in actually upgrading my trusty Galaxy Note 20 due to the expandable memory, but took the plunge and bought this one with the additional case with S Pen and the 1TB storage. Actually glad I did as the phone has exceeded all my expectations in ease of use as well as build quality together with the bast Camera I have ever seen on a phone. A few of my friends have seen me use it and in both cases, they went out and bought the same fold in a 512GB storage size. Exceptional Samsung, very pleased and happy with the phone! A +++

I run an automotive workshop and parts store. Being able to fold out the phone for a larger screen to view parts inventory, view workshop manuals, PDF etc has totally changed the way that I work. Originally wasn't too interested as had a Note9 which I loved due to the S pen. Then realised could get a S pen & case for the Fold5 so bought one. I do have a Samsung tablet but its a big thing to carry around, with the Fold5 it covers you for phone and tablet operations. Only had it a week but so far really pleased with it. Have never bought a new release phone before, have no regrets so far

It's a good Sammy phone with the benefit of having the larger screen.
my only minor grip is aspect ratios, some content is to small on the cover screen and some content is too wide on the inner screen.
I expected this ofc and its usually manageable with resizing apps and settings
wish the s-pen was contained within the device itself (and worked with the cover screen) so I'm not forced to use a specific case
I was also worried that going down from a 5000 mAH battery would cause grief but its been pretty good

So far so good. I've had it a couple of weeks now and it's getting easier to fold open the screen as it was very stiff opening for the first week.
Emails are so much better in the split screen. Social media is obviously better because of the bigger screen and I don't hold the screen as close to my face which has to be better for my eyes lol.
When the phone is closed and just using the single front screen you do notice a drop in screen resolution but I only use the phone in that format if I need to check something real quick, so it's no problem at all. I'll open the phone if I need all the bells and whistles.
I wasn't prepared for all the compliments from strangers on how cool the phone is.

Bought Samsung Fold 5, two weeks ago. I was hesitant in buying it because the cost would equal 2 times what i would normally spend on a new phone. Glad i did because its what i was looking for. I started needing to wear reading glasses, but with the fold larger screen i can get by without most of the time. Also its replacing my Kindle for reading, Fold has a larger screen and much more responsive compared to Kindle. I like to squiggle reminders everywhere around house on paper. But now I'm trying out some apps that can do the job better with the larger screen. Front screen is a good size for quick app access like Spotify, text mesg, calls etc. So much more to explore. I am very happy with the purchase.

I purchased about 6 weeks ago. it is my first folding phone. I have been waiting for the fold to be matured. I do not have small hands. but within a couple of weeks, I was used to typing on the cover display. yes, a little wider would be nice. not too wide though. if the Spen worked on the cover it would be nice, but I understand why you can't, and I am ok with that. as for the camera it is a capable setup. a 5x Zoom would be nice. the UDC is great for what I need it for. I even watch YouTube in landscape on the cover display more than I thought I would. and because it is not to wide it is comfortable to hold when making calls, looking at stuff on the cover or holding it in both portrait and landscape.

Great cameras (you don't NEED a huge sensor for good photos), tablet in a phone form factor (so versatile for so many forms of media) and a very capable CPU (that still works very well in the "Light" performance profile).
This phone comes very close to perfectly doing almost everything that people these days expect their phones to do.
I do understand the general concern around the fragility of the inner screen and the lack of dustproofing. But once you use it and adjust some of your habits, you'll start having more fun with it compared to the other "standard" form-factor devices.

I use the front screen for everyday tasks,calls,texts etc but as soon as I want to watch YouTube, tik tok, instagram videos in full screen like a mini movie theatre, then on tip of that I can split the screen so I can txt while watching Netflix or scroll through my photo gallery while checking my emails. So handy and when closed it fits better in my pocket without that single wide screen feeling in my pocket. Video and photo quality is amazing and all the features are the best to date. Highly recommend and nothing compares.

I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4nto the Samsung Galaxy Z afold 5, and boy was I impressed!
I'm by no means a smartphone aficionado but the new Z Fold 5 is lighter, faster and opens and shuts completely flat. It fits easily into jeans pockets, unlike its predecessor which was heavier and clunky. (Was still an awesome phone thou!)
Apps works faster, and overall I found the functionality to be simpler in some areas than the previous Z Fold 4. The battery life has also improved.
If your contemplating getting this Smartphone I would highly recommend it!

I used this for less than 2 months and there is already a circle of dead pixels to the left of the fold. It looks like a camera cut-out. Phone has now been dropped or screen is not damaged, it is in a hard case. Do not recommend this phone, its too fragile considering it's so expensive
Camera is not very good also, my old S21 ultra performs better in low light.

You would think that a new design such as the fold, would be stringently tested to be durable. A small section on the fold failed, a little rubber hinge part has popped out and lines are now showing on the screen. Samsung obviously deemed that it was damaged by me (even though it has always been fully encased and housed in an extra heavy duty case), to mask the lack of durability. And then quoted me $750 dollars to fix. The fact these devices cost more than quality laptop computers is a joke.

I have had the Ultra for some 8 plus years, and I have never had a more abysmal entirely depressing experience. Not only do you take 2000 dollars but you don't even deliver what my Ultra 2021 nor my earlier Samsung provides. Constant errors, constant problems and not even a person to speak with the correct the problems. Even this review did not have my 'accurate purchase of and Ultra, listed in the review categories'. Absolutely hopeless, useless and would not commend anyone to a Samsung, at all. If you had shown some care, as to helping a long term user to get the thing working properly, by telephoning, not this 'chat, text, file upload', stuff, which also, does not work, you may well have got a reasonable review. But not only do you have defective phones, you have no customer care/consideration at all.

It's only been two weeks since I received the Z fold5 and I am thoroughly happy and impressed. I did have one day when the phone was hot and losing power. After I ran through a guide to turn off a few battery-draining features, it immediately came good. I now have a whole new level of functionality and get more done on the go. I'm leaving my Galaxy tablet at home more often, fully confident that I can email, search the web and even time-out with Genshin Impact all from my phone. I feel lighter and freer to 'get going'. Thank you, Samsung for such an innovative phone.

The Z fold 5 has captured my attention as a tech enthusiast and is a clear upgrade from the original folding phones. The expansive foldable display enables me to enhance my creativity and functionality, when combined with the s pen. I bought Samsung fold 5 a month ago from Vodafrone. When making phone calls, the other end could not heard me. Brought it in to the shop, they replaced the sim card and it still was not working. It had to be sent away to find out the problem. They suspected software problems. After reset factory installations it started to work properly.
So I could enjoy using my "NEW" phone for just 7 days after. Half of the big screen is darker then the other and flickering.

I bought the fold to replace my 2 year old Microsoft Surface Duo. The multitasking in OneUI has taken a bit to get used to, and is not as intuitive as the Duo, but it works.
As a Smartthings user, I love the Routines, and integration with my smart home infrastructure.
Design wise, I do wish the cover screen was 1cm shorted and 5mm wider to present a more natural aspect ratio. Ideally, when opened the main s reen would be in tablet mode by default.

Just an ok phone, nothing super special. If you are after a phone for fast multitasking browsing the net doing fasting on the go that's not the right phone it's a good phone to use at home when you're bored. If you are new to Samsung galaxy then maybe with a phone will do the job but if you have a high expectation from a phone that can change the way how you do things then definitely stay away. I am an entrepreneur and use many phones and I change them all the time Samsung galaxy s23Ultra by far is a superior phone. In general the phone work well if you haven't experienced another phone. It have a problem with network it have a problem with connectivity and a battery life which is the key things you need in a superior phone.

So, Samsung has removed the external memory. That was a bad move on Samsung’s part. One of the key differences of these phones was the ability to add 1TB of extra external storage.
I was hoping that this iteration (No. 5) would have had a capacitive touchscreen for the front screen. Come on Samsung. Get with the program.
Battery performance is still behind the pack.
The phone is still a leader in its field.
Another wish list item is to have a larger phone to increase the realestate on the front screen and give the phone a wider internal screen.

Mine arrived with a couple scratches on the outer screen (not to mention other damage to the outer body). Not the fragile inner screen. The supposedly super strong Gorilla Glass Victus2 screen. Contacted Samsung right away. They don't care. I've been told they'd get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Haven't heard back. Called them again. Again I'm told I'll get a call in 24 to 48 hours.
I'd really like to trade this thing in for an S23U, if it's so fragile that it's damaged before I even get it, I don't really want it anymore. I'm afraid to touch this thing for fear that I'll break it accidentally. But the deadline for the trade in is running out fast and I can't trade it in with the damage. I need to get it repaired under warranty and then trade it in. Which I can't do because Samsung is giving me the runaround.
It's a shame. The phone is otherwise really great. But not if it's already damaged before I even get it. Not if it's so fragile it'll probably break if you look at it the wrong way.
Just avoid this fragile trash. Do yourself a favour and get an S23U if you really must buy a Samsung phone. And get it from a store so you can return it to them if something goes wrong. Do not buy from Samsung directly. They don't seem to care about their warranty or their customers.

I purchased the Z fold 5 on release and had no issue with it, 5 months in I noticed that the WiFi and Bluetooth had stopped working on the device. No matter what I did it showed 'turning on' for WiFi and Bluetooth but nothing would appear to connect to. After going into the Samsung Hub at Garden City, they advised the phone would need to be sent off for repairs which can take (3-5 business days). What shocked me was no replacement phone was offered, only that they would call when it's ready to collect. Time goes by and I get the message to go collect. I sign for the phone back and low and behold. WiFi and Bluetooth still not working... the team at the Garden City samsung viewed the repair notes and found the comment "No fault found" I was infuriated with this as there is clearly a fault with this device and they just sent it back days later doing nothing. I asked the team for new phone as it is still under warranty and still not working. The team advised they can't make that decision and would have to send it back to the repairer again to investigate.
Overall very disappointing service

I bought this in the beginning of December 2023. The fold5's tablet mode, the middle fold is barely visible when you unfold it. It feels slim and sleek, also light at hands as well.
Amazing that when you fold it up to phone mode, it is actually thinner (width wise) than other phones. Great for watching streaming, superb for gaming because it runs so smooth without lagging.
Best of all, the fast charging and the battery life is excellent and lives up to the description! Didn't need to charge my phone for 3 days when I utilised it for those days.

I've had Samsung's for years now and I love the phones. Samsung upgraded me from the Zfold 4 as it's durability wasn't great for the folding screen, and the ZFold5 screen feels so much more sturdy, the screen difference quality was amazing considering there's not much time between the phones. The brightness and colour was great. The things you can do with the big screen with split screens, drag and drop, ease of use is so useful for productivity, watching video's and connectivity to other things such as Tv's is amazing, it' pretty much a mini laptop!!

I originally bought a Fold3 back in 2021 and haven't looked back. After a year and a half, the screen started to show cracks in the crease but it was covered under warranty. I've recently upgraded to the latest Fold5.
I use my Fold + S-Pen as a journal and, unlike a traditional paper diary, I can include photos. It's had a profound effect on my mental health and for the few months between submitting my Fold3 for warranty and getting my Fold5, I really noticed its absence. I continued journaling on my old S10 but tapping away on the tiny keyboard is not the same as physically writing with a pen.
The battery life seems to be a lot better on the 5th gen. I do wish the cameras were the same as the S-series but they do they the job.

I've had so many issues with this same type of phone. I lose my Bluetooth and wifi to where I can't connect to devices or wifi and I only had this phone 9 months. Then I changed it out and had to put all my stuff on a new one to have that one do the same thing. These phones should be taken off the market I've read alot of ppl are having issues with it as well where they need to take them apart to fix them. This 2nd phone I've only had about 2 months max. I rather get a different phone. I'll never get another fold I've wasted alot of time on these.

After using my dependable Z Fold 2 for approximately three years, I recently upgraded to the Z Fold 5. Initially, I expected the improvements to be incremental, but I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong. The numerous enhancements, including a larger front screen, a flatter closure of the phone, a brighter display, and an improved camera, have significantly enhanced my overall user experience. This purchase was undoubtedly a wise decision, and I can confidently say that I won't be reverting to a conventional, non-folding phone anytime soon!

I traded my Galaxy fold 2 because I wanted to update my already impressive older phone... Everybody always stops me and asks what kind of phone this is.... in fact I've managed to impress enough people that they also bought one.. The fold 5 is lighter and has so much storage with impressive abilities.. doubled to 512G I rarely use my PC and it very rarely leaves my side.... Google is such a font of knowledge
I haven't tried the pen yet but I'm sure Samsung has perfected that as well... I couldn't be happier or prouder of my fabulous blue phone💜

I was a little apprehensive about upgrading from my ZFold 4, but now a few weeks in I'm glad I did. For me the folding flat is a big thing as I really notice the difference. The cameras aren't as big of an upgrade as I would like, but the new post processing makes it feel a little snappier. As always the display inside and out is perfect and for me the thinner front display isn't a deal breaker. I do sometimes wish the would fold along the other edge which would completely solve that problem, but I get it. Overall very happy with the Fold 5.

I'm writing to share my review of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm absolutely loving it.
It's the greatest piece of tech I've ever owned. The foldable screen is amazing, and it's so much more convenient than a traditional phone. I can easily watch videos, play games, or browse the web without having to worry about the screen being too small.
The camera is also incredible. I've taken some amazing photos and videos with it, and I'm always getting compliments on them.
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5. It's the perfect phone for anyone who wants the latest and greatest in mobile technology.

Lasted just over a year, screen has a dead pixel. The Samsung expert said it's my fault even though the phones never been dropped or handled roughly. Read all over the web this is just what Samsung does to deny claims for defects. They never provided a technical report to justify why they said it was my fault. Taking this to small claims tribunal. I am bitterly disappointed I bought the phone.

I bought the phone few weeks ago as an upgrade of my s20+ and i completely loving it!
I thought it will be heavy and thick but it doesnt. It just perfect on my hand and my pocket pants..
Further, the phone has "second screen" so i can comfortably watch my favourite netflix shows/movies as well as playing mobile games.
The second screen also help for someone like me who has big thumbs to type their email or chatting.. it also helps me to review some work documents.
Battery life and performance also great.
10 out of 10 overall.

Have had this nearly a month and hate it, closed up, it's too small for my hand to be useable, open it up and it becomes unusable because it's too big to be practical and when trying to type you hit either buttons and lose where you are. On top of this, trying to do the $1 Samsung Swap to the S23 Ultra, I have been stuffed around by Samsung and had my order cancelled with no contact from Samsung

I got this fold 5 recently as a replacement to my trusty Fold 4, and the enhancements are fantastic. Here's what I love:
Hinge and Display: The new hinge is rock-solid. It opens and closes with a satisfying smoothness, and the screen crease is much less noticeable.
Performance: The latest Snapdragon processor makes everything faster and smoother, perfect for intense productivity or gaming sessions.
Battery Life: I'm getting significantly better battery with the Fold 5, meaning I worry less about charging throughout the day.

I bought this a few weeks ago, upgrading from the Galaxy Note 20 and love it. At first I was a little concerned of the closed size as it is a lot narrower than the Note 20 and I thought messaging etc might be an issue, but, it is a perfect size for my hand and actually find it a great deal easier to text with than the Note 20. The larger screen when opened up is perfect for work for me, easier to read emails, do research or even great for watching movies etc on PT. I no longer find a use for my tablet as this phone does the lot.

I recently had a fault with my Galaxy Z Fold 4. It was sent away for repair and within 2 weeks, Samsung had contacted me, let me know they understood the issue and that they would be replacing it with a new device, the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
They helped me along the way with tracking and an easy to call service line.
The device has arrived and I am absolutely satisfied. It's a responsive, smooth and versatile device. It's unbelievable they have been able to completely remove the "tear drop" gap when the phone folds.

I checked the Galaxy Fold 5 out briefly in-store before buying but nothing compares to actual use. I've been using a few hours since it arrived today and am seriously impressed with how apps feel in this form factor, emails become a joy to work with.
What blew me away before buying was how thin this phone is when unfolded, but also when closed, I think this ultimately sold me knowing it would be barely noticed in my pocket.
The screen is gorgeous and the phone zippy. So glad I bought, know I'm going to enjoy the phone.

This is my first samsung phone as I've been an iPhone user for all my life. This time I've decided to tryswitching and bought fold 5 and I cannot be more surprised at how much I enjoy this phone. The os on power with ios of not better and the hardware is really good. I had no issues with it whatsoever. The only improvements I ask for is better compatibility with macbook as I still use macbook. However, I know it won't happen and I'm OK with that because I'm happy with the phone.
I might switch over to samsung completely...

The Z Fold 5 is a technological marvel that combines the features of a small tablet and a (big) phone. I still have my Samsung Tablet S8 for serious work and watching movies, but for convenience and reading news/emails on the go, the Z Fold 5 is hard to beat. I was initially skeptical of the size/weight, but after a while, I hardly noticed the weight and it sits comfortably in my trouser pocket (just don't buy the bulky cases). It has many features (e.g. flex mode) that one would not see on either a phone or a tablet.

Tough garget, I dropped the phone but there's not even a single crack.
Flawless Design. Looks classy and elegant.
Many settings, and flexibility features.
Very good battery.
2 things I wish the upcoming model to have is the S-Pen to incorporate with the phone like the Note collection and Dust/fingerprint free when touch the screen. But this is minor.
Well Done Samsung.
Hope I get $1000 voucher gift card so I can use it and put extra money to buy for my wife.

This is the second fold unit I have purchased after having the fold 3 for 3 years. It was an amazing phone that with a protective hard card latest the duration with no issue about battery charge or duration. After 3 years the large fold screen was still working well with only slight wear around the thumb scrolling area and in the middle creese some delimitation after years and thousands if not 10's of thousands of folds open and closed each and every day. I am expecting nothing less from this fold 5 model. Only slightly smaller the the 2 with basically unchanged layout and operations, why change what ain't broke and works well.
Love the phone and the functions and features, hope to explore it full potential with this one and most likely the next in a few years time.

I was hesitant to buy a fold phone after being so accustomed to a normal galaxy phone. After using the phone daily for a bit over a week I can, I can honestly say I don't believe that I could go back. Yes the phone a bit thicker than any normal phone but having a larger screen is well worth the trade off. I was concerned about the durability and any other sort of comprises e.g. camera, battery life etcetera but I have been blown away by the power, speed and battery life. I cannot fault anything with the phone so far.

Laptop power in a super portable form factor. I've yet to seriously challenge the Fold 5. Heaps of screen space, multitasking capability and oodles of RAM to get stuff done. I'm even able to monitor client systems in a remote desktop session without needing to leave the lounge room. My partner is loving the extra time I have with them. As a Note devotee my only gripe is the pen not being built in but honestly the pen case works well and does not add unnecessary bulk. I've even replaced my tablet with my Fold 5 as my sim rig dashboard display when racing on Forza. It's easy to recommend the Fold 5 to anyone wanting a bigger more powerful device. Love the Z fold 5 since my beloved Note is no longer available.
Z Fold 5 is the model that I have been waiting for since Z Fold 1 was released years ago.
Would love to see if the screen ratio can be better for folded and unfold mode. If a feature that can enlarge the screen on any app would be great. My eye signs are no good and this is one of the reasons for me to purchase the Fold. Also if there is a better phone case suitable for the next Fold (With Spen holder) That will be perfect. Thank you, Samsung.

I recently got the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, and I must say, it's an incredible device. One of my favorite features is the ability to use multiple apps simultaneously with the split-screen view on the tablet screen. This functionality makes multitasking a breeze and enhances my productivity. What's even more impressive is that the device folds flat this time. I previously owned the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Fold 5 is a massive improvement. The phone now folds completely flat (no more wedge shape) and there is an appreciable reduction in weight. The official Samsung case that includes the S Pen is also a welcome change (though internal storage of the S Pen inside the phone chassis is always preferable). The new AI features, general performance and battery life are all great. I also seem to get better 5G/4G reception and coverage too. Highly recommended handset!

I've had the zfold5 for a week now and I must say, it is by far the best phone I have ever had. I have had a few Samsung phone In the past well actually almost all of them have been Samsung's from the age of 20 before that they were the good old green screens lol wow I'm getting old 😅 and I have always said take me back to them good old days until I got the new zfold5 now I could never go back this phone is truly amazing. The features are out of this world. To some it up the zfold5 is the phone to have.

I was hesitant to get the fold a couple of years ago, as I was more than happy with my SNoteUltras, but I was always intrigued by the bigger screen and I now love having the 2 different screen options laid out (rather than mirrored - which is optional). Only downside is not having the Pen installed and having to do a ton of research for the right case and pen, which I finally found. The next model should totally have a slot for the pen, I'd still pay extra for the pen, but it needs to have its own slot.

I've owned a Fold4 and this upgrade has been a lot larger than many reviews have pointed out or given credit for. The biggest things I've noticed:
- Camera is now instant and higher quality, the hardware is the same but now there's no delay in snapping, no more blurred or missed photos
- Battery is better, again same hardware but optimisations and the processor are more efficent
- Brighter screen - easier to read in sun
- Hinge is butter smooth and silent - feels so well 'oiled' and better built.

Been using the phone for the last week. I came from an S20 ultra. The fold 5 phone fits in the pocket well. My ultra used to pop out of my pocket due to it's size. However, the fold is heavy, but you will get used to it.
Having multi apps opened in multi Windows is great. You can browse the Web, look at emails and watch YouTube at the same time.
The cameras are not too bad for my everyday use, pictures are good enough for social media and messages.
The cover screen is good enough for every day use, like a little Galaxy S device. However, the tall and narrow ratio can be a little weird, and it will take time to get used too.
I do wish it was 20 grams lighter, the cover screen be a cm or so wider, less tall, a little thinner, and perhaps have a 108mp camera, with 50x zoom?

The camera quality is superior. I recently upgraded from the S20+ and the camera quality is so much better than I was expecting. As a bonus, the fold acts like a built in camera stand, so videos and exposure shots are clearer as there's no shake. I also love that I can take a selfie using the main camera, viewed on the front screen. I was tossing up between the Fold 5 and S23 Ultra, and am so glad I went with the Fold. It's an exciting new form factor and can't wait to discover even more uses for it.

I finally mustered up the courage to purchase the foldable phone that I've been wanting to try for a while. Despite the hefty price tag, I had many concerns, but after using it for about two weeks, I believe it was an excellent choice. First and foremost, the large screen and multitasking capabilities greatly impressed me in terms of usability. The portability and grip, considering the form factor, are at a satisfactory level. As for the usability of the pen, I will need to use it more to make a final judgment, but I believe it will have its usefulness. Durability is a concern, so I'll have to handle it with care. It's disappointing that there haven't been many changes compared to the previous model, but I hope the next iteration will bring more innovation, including improved pen storage.

My phone is brand new. It has been problematic from the start. Most issues have been addressed but there is a problem with the internal screen. I am sick of tech support just telling me to reset the device. That does not fix it!

I had previously owned a fold 3 and loved it, I had an issue with the digitizer and Samsung paid out the device just within the warranty period, I couldn't live without it so purchased the fold 5 as soon as it came out. It may not look like a massive upgrade but having the pen embedded in the case makes a massive difference, plus the hinge is definitely better than the previous verson. The folds are productivity power houses. Great for reading pdfs, or general tablet work. Super happy with it

I bought this phone for my wife who spends a lot of time searching things online and doing lots of online shopping.
recording videos of our little one is not enough, she loves playing them back again and again on TV.
Now with galaxy fold 5 the screen is big enough to see the details of the dress she wants to buy along with her online searches so my laptop is free whenever I want it.
She is free to watch our little one as many times as she wants but not on TV as her phone is enough now.

I was forced to buy a Fold5 after my Fold4 stopped working (motherboard issue) after 13 months and Samsung couldn’t get parts to fix it in time. Samsung were no help but fortunately my carrier honoured the warranty replacement. The Fold5 doesn’t have anything new from the Fold 4 in daily usage, except they moved the light so you need to buy all new cases. Seems Samsung is too focussed on maximising sales revenue by forcing people on to new devices with low build quality on existing devices.

I brought it a week ago from a deal from jbhifi with a 1000 dollars off it has exceeded my expectations awesome phone to use comes in handy for my business as the bigger screen to do invoices easily and so effectively that I don't need to carry my laptop with me everywhere I go the only downfall is the front screen could be bigger rather than being so slim other than that love it the battery lasts all day with constant use it is a good phone overall would buy the upgrade when it comes out.

I just bought Galaxy Fold 5 after a bit of hesitation (because I thought it would be bulky) and reasearch for at least 2 weeks. As soon as I opened the box, I knew this was the best decision. This phone looks awesome. It has an elegant design and is not bulky (until you decided to put case) but still a decent size to carry and use in daily business.
I won't write about features, functions etc because there is a lot on the internet already. It has all that you can expect from a smartphone.

I got the fold 5 roughly 3 weeks ago and it's been nice. As an entertainment device I can watch TV shows and movies with a nice big screen. However with some apps switching between the unfolded front screen to the nice large unfolded screen it seems like there are some unironed kinks to it. I'm hoping if this gets solved rating will 100% go to 5 stars. The performance sometimes laggs out but I'm not sure of its the hardware of the phone or just the lack of optimisation. Cheers, Albi.

I held off buying a fold for a very long time until this model became available due to its form factor. Since using a device I have been happy with my purchase The only limitations I have found has been battery life screen optimisation for apps like Facebook and Instagram and screen is also highly reflective in outdoor settings. Aside from those minor things I have been using this device as an alternative to my full size Samsung tablet which I normally use as a desktop computer.

I upgraded from the Fold 4 as it is perfect to book hotels and airlines while travelling overseas. The large screen is the wonderful size that allows me to see pictures of accomodations clearly and make the best choices. Also because it fols it is small enough to comfortably fit in a small handbag. It carries in documents folders all the backup information needed for a 3 month long travelling holiday. All features are easy to navigateand as a 75 year old I can highly recommend.

Been a Samsung fan since my first galaxy S2, bought my first Z fold 4 when it came out and boy I was blown away with it, a phone and a mini tablet at the same same time, pretty amazing, now I am using the fold 6 and I guess I will be moving to fold 7 once it's out, it's amazing how much Samsung improve the functionality of the z series over the years. I took advantage of the Christmas sale promotion ( with free gifts).
I have to say since the wife and kids have taken iver the tv and tab s4, i rarely get to watch something in my down time, but now, even at work the mini tablet sized screen is great for content consuming. Not only that i can now take full advantage of multiwindow productivity, which alway seemed cumbersome on smaller devices.
P.s after a couple days, you forget all about the crease, i barely notice it.

Bought this phone and traded in my tablet. Love being able to watch videos, read manga or multitask on large screen without needing to bring a tablet or laptop around. Phone feels super snappy and responsive too which is a good upgrade compared to my tablet, which was starting to show its age.
Taking pictures is really fun. The camera quality is so good compared to my previous phone and you can see the preview on the cover screen! Love this device, thanks Samsung 😊 🙏

I 've been using the Galaxy Z Fold 5 for nearly two weeks. I very much love it's functionality. The fact that the gap is closed when folded is a huge selling point for me. However, the form factor is not great. The thickness isn't uncomfortable but noticeable and the narrow aspect ratio of the cover screen leaves a lot to be desired. If it were comparable to the Honor Magic V2's design, it would almost be the perfect phone. It's price also makes it hard to recommend.

I have only had my new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phone for 10 days. In that time I have been busy setting it up and getting it how I want it to be. So far I am loving the phone. It just works!! Its streamlined, luxurious and feels like good quality in my hands. I love there is no obvious crease in the centre of the screen and when open to wide mode it just looks beautiful and shows so much luxury. So far I am delighted with the decision I made to purchase this new phone.
