[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For this product, I currently was looking for a router that eliminated black-out periods, extended range, and was reliable. From what I read, this product should have been great, However, upon setup, I kept having a blinking red light on this product after three tried three different days setting it up. The perplexing part of this all is my current router works so that eliminated any other issue to blame. Given this, I have to give this product three stars since I am sure other people encountered this problem. The router does have a great look and feel and had a simple setup process outlined in the manual, but however it did not work for me.

I was very skeptical when I signed up to review the product but also very excited that finally something might work in my area better than what I currently have. The product arrived quickly and packaging was great. Unboxing and actually setting up the device was very simple, I did have a slight problem getting the original connection going and on the third try it worked. My signal has increased and it has not cut out or leg on me at all. I'm very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.

This is a wonderful product for folks who loved to have everything with their devices synchronized it is perfect. If your like me no it is not. Due to the type of work that I do security reason and clearances this would not be good for me. I believe this product is wonderful for those that want everything in one place. It works and it so easy and one thing I love about Samsung is thorough. The Samsung Connect Home is thought out product and great for those that want everything connected. I believe it is the best out here on the market.

I did have a few problems when I first tried to connect but after a few tries I finally got it set up. I work from home sometimes so I need to have a fast & reliable internet connection. My old router would have problems and slow down. Since I have used the Connect Home Pro I haven't had any of these issues. I don't have any smart devices so I wasn't able to use that feature. But I would like to see how it works with them if I ever get any. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new router.

I enjoyed adding my gadgets to the Samsung app on my phone to control them. You can even create different rooms for your devices which is a plus. This hub provided a wider range for me and my speed never faltered. I can even go outside without a problem. The amount of appliances and electronics you can add to this are endless. I only wish you could add tablets to the app. All in all, this is a great product to add ranges to your home that is worth the price point!

So, I have only had a few moments of use with it last night.
My First Impressions are:
-Very easy to set up using my Samsung S7 phone and the Connect App
-Very small and simple styling (if it does not already have the option to come in black as well, it would be nice)
-It is already performing better that my previous WIFI... streaming video to multiple device at once
Since it came so late last night, I will have more review info as I begin to test it out further.
I love Samsung products, and it is just starting to impress...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Between my wife and I we have over 15 devices at our house alone. We once had a big party at our house and our WiFi router could not handle the total number of devices.
That is when we decided to upgrade to the Samsung Connect Home Pro. We have two of them and the neat thing is that they setup a mesh network. We have one downstairs and one upstairs, practically giving us full coverage. Another plus is that it is a hub for smart devices. Allows us to manage these devices with our Google Homes.
The setup is extremely simple and the speed has been outstanding. If you like to tinker with your router, this does not give you those advanced options. But honestly it has all of the basics that is needed.

I've gone from having 1-3 bars of Wi-Fi in my room (on a really good day) to complete coverage, thanks to the mesh network capabilities. If my apartment were larger, I'd definitely invest in the 3-pack. Regardless, I've been telling family and friends about it because of how amazing the experience has been. I know I've only been able to text it out for about a week now, but I'm so grateful to now have this as an addition to my home. As I'm both a new grad students and work from home occasionally--this was a necessary investment.

Initially I had some trouble with the Samsung Connect App. But once I got connected my Wi-Fi signal nearly doubled. With over 10 different devices, movie streams, music downloads ect. Samsung Connect Home Pro keeps everyone happy. Personally I haven't any complaints. Samsung Connect Home Pro is a great device that every modern home should have I'll definitely recommend this product to all my friends family and co workers.I would like to create a mesh for my home office using this product.

This router has all kinds of potential but falls FLAT on it's face in the real world. I bought the Pro thinking it would offer more features and be somewhat customizable compared to the regular model. No way, can't change a dang thing on here. Want to do any kind of static IP or port forwarding ... guess again. Want to log into the router from your PC or Mac? Can't do that either. The couple of times that it has been hooked correctly, it was very quick. Then by by quick hello crash .... Samsung could do so much with this little guy if they would give us some of the control.

I simply downloaded the app from the play store, don't worry its on Itunes as well. Plugged in the Samsung device to the router. Opened the app. Followed the prompts and it was smooth and easy. It is amazingI now have my own Wi-Fi and the computer warriors have theirs. Samsung's Coney home pro had made my wifi so much faster. Amazing, but it's what I've come to expect from Samsung. Bravo

I tested the Connect Home Pro against my previous router and my network extended and it won for both speed and coverage area. I love that I can be outside my house and no longer drop my Wi-Fi connection. The look is an added bonus. It's small and only has one light so it actually looks good in my living room. The only smart device that I own is a Samsung Frame TV so I haven't been able to fully test it as a Smart Hub but being able to control my TV from my phone has been great. That's a huge plus when my toddler hides the remote! I'm very happy with the Connect Home Pro and would recommend it to anyone looking for multitasking router and smartthings hub.

Upgraded the unit from a basic to a pro to try to take advantage of more mem and better processor. I was working great for many months on the basic unit. It seemed like as I added more devices it started to show disconnected in the app even though everything seemed to be working. Tried a full reset on the 3 units, full reprogram, removing and reinstalling the app itself. Nothing fixed it. It will connect for a while and disco for a while. I have also tried both the original and the new app. Any ideas why that would happen?

It was easy to set up after you download the phone app. I like that I can access everything from my phone and not a portal on my computer. The signal strength throughout my home is stronger than the router provided by my internet provider. I still drop the signal on occasion on my phones and tablets at the far reaches, but it is still more reliable than anything I have had before. I like that it works with my Wi-Fi adapters to recognize what frequency they work on and connect accordingly. Previously I had to pick and choose. Overall I am quite impressed with a product I have never used before. Its low profile look marries well with the performance to give you the connection you need with an nonintrusive device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing right off the bat that impressed me was the packaging of the Connect Home Pro. Everything was well placed and I didn't have to fight or tear anything to get it out.
The small, hockey puck size Connect Home Pro doesn't take up much space on my desk. It is hidden and still does a great job.
Once I got this up and running, which took about 5 minutes to download the app and hook up the Connect, I was able to control my Samsung TV with my cell phone. I can't wait to get more devices to connect to this.

Originally was pleased with connectivity and ease of setup. I'm running 2 connect home pros, 1 primary, 1 "mesh"/repeater. Recently having issues with signal strength of 2.4Ghz network for devices within 15' of primary. Normally I'd review the router dashboard and try to troubleshoot but the 'easy' nature of these devices means no advanced settings or data to review. My guess is that a recent firmware altered the settings to optimize for 5G, but that is hurting my 2.4G RSSI.

Only bad thing is I don't have any plug-ins or any smart lights to connect it too. But I'm sure once I get some of those that those will work great together! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Connect Pro is very easy to use and all setup is done via the mobile app Samsung Connect. After you download the App you have to open the app and add the Samsung Connect Home to your internet modem. Using the quick start guide makes this a snap to do, you can then use the mobile app to automatically detected each hub once it is configuration to the network name and password were very easy. I have several Samsung TV's, Blue-ray playerameras and other devices so this is great.
I have also that I can now connect to my network anywhere outside I want, I am always working in the back yard or garage and need to lookup how to do things and now I dod not have ru n in and out of the house. My house is 3 stories and over 2800 sq ft. I would absolutely recommend this product Overall the Samsung Connect Home Pro is easy to install/use, and performs spectacular!!

Upon taking the unit out and inspecting it and the paperwork inside, I immediately set about to set it up. The set up was a breeze. I have an I-phone and was easily able to download the app needed for the product. However, after that I have had some confusion. I live in a 3000+ sf home and the issue we have problems with is the wifi reaching the second floor. I set up the product and the kids on the second floor have not noticed any better wifi service. I need to contact tech support and get some information on what I may be doing wrong. As far as the smart home, unfortunately we do not have any smart products except my Samsung Smart TV and I have not had luck setting that up either. I am very hopeful that after reaching out for tech support, things will begin running smoother for me.

I still have the same with my Xfinity WiFi. To me the Samsung Hub is not worth the money since it does not fix any of my WiFi issues. It was easy to setup and only took me a couple of minutes.

I have to say it was one of the quickest and easiest set ups I have ever had. It took only a matter of minutes to download app and connect device. Super easy and clear instructions. A very small device so it doesn't take up much room. I listened to my family over the next month waiting to here comments like my video keeps freezing or this is taking so long to download but to my surprise I didn't. The Wi-fi range was great all over the house and even into the yard. I did see a tremendous difference in my overall speed and range and for that I was happy. As for connecting smart devices we do not have them at this point but we hope to get more involved in that part in the future so I am unable to give a review regarding that aspect. I do find the price to be high and not sure if many will want to pay such a price. Overall I feel it is a good product and it offered the increase speed and range I was hoping for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Connect Home Pro is a great combination wifi router and Smartthings Hub. You are able to manage both within the all-in-one mobile application, making it easy to access and use.
The Connect Home Pro is no larger than a teacup saucer in area, and all antennas are tucked within the device, leaving for a clean footprint. There are minimal cables, 1 power cable, 1 ethernet in and 1 ethernet out. I was able to get strong signal within a brick building approx 1100 sq. ft without issue. You're easily able to connect additional units to extend the range.
The Smartthings hub lets you easily connect and manage z-wave and smartthings compatible devices around the home. I was quickly able to connect and setup several z-wave lights and switches, as well as set up motion triggers and timed sequences. Having this functionality accessible through the mobile application is really convenient for turning devices on and off on the fly.
Overall the Connect Home Pro is a great combination of wifi router and home automation hub.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I've very impressed with the Samsung Connect Home Pro Smart Wi-Fi System, as it seems to have increased the wireless signal in the house since installing it. It was very easy to set up once I installed the app on my Samsung Galaxy phone. I did have several issues and several error messages first trying to connect to the internet, but once it finally connected after about 30 minutes, it has worked well. The wireless internet connection has gone out once or twice while watching Netflix but I'm not sure if that is a result of the Comcast signal or the Samsung Connect Home Pro Smart Wi-Fi System. Since I don't have any other Samsung Smart devices (other than the Samsung TV) I haven't used it for anything other than a wireless booster but I hope to buy some Samsung smart wireless products in the future such as a thermostat and lights so that I can make use of its other benefits. Samsung makes really great electronic products and they have proven to be very dependable and of the highest quality. I am a firm believer in Samsung!

I currently own a Samsung smartphone and a Samsung TV and knew that this would be the perfect addition to my house. Beginning with the unboxing, Samsung made it plain and simple and I loved that they provided an ethernet cable with to get you started right out of the box. The Samsung Connect App was easy to use on my phone and I loved how they integrated it with their devices which made controlling and monitoring my connected devices a breeze. Since I live in an apartment, the Samsung Connect Home Pro was sufficient for my daily but if you live in a bigger home I'd suggest opting for the Samsung Connect Home with the three routers because they create a net which resolves and connectivity issues. I ran some speed tests and it gave me better speeds compared to my WiFi router provided by my local ISP. In conclusion, this is a great device especially if you have several other devices you can connect it to like my TV and laptop. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Connect Home Pro is what the average consumer should be looking for if you want a simple and easy setup for your Wi-Fi. I was impressed with how easy it is to set up and then turn on the Smartthings hub. This is by far a much better way to get things working within a home if you are not into the high tech and time-consuming process of setting up a Wi-Fi router. If you just want it simple and are not worried about all the little technical things that can be done in a router than this is perfect. I set mine up and was running in no time. The fact that it works on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz with the same SID was awesome. Other routers make you assign both frequencies and then choose. This one picks the best one and just works. At first, I thought that I was getting a lot of dropped signal but after the first week things leveled out and I have had no issues. For the cost I think this is a great value for an all in one package if you need a Smartthing hub. The system is easy to use through the app. This is a well-designed product for mom and dad, grandma and grandpa or anyone else that needs it to work without the fuss.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit skeptical about this product at first since I recently bought a pricey Wi-Fi extender not long ago and ended up returning it because it did not increase my range at all. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my range almost double from before! I always thought it was due to the concrete walls that did not allow the range to extend as much as it should but this device has proved me wrong!
From unboxing to setting up the connect home pro to my router took about 10 min. it was a breeze! I have an android phone and after downloading the app, it was as easy as 1-2-3!
I do not own any smart devices at the moment so I cannot give a clear review on this function of the pro. It has increased the range and speed of my Wi-fi and judging it from these functions I give it 5 stars!
I also love the fact that you can reset the network from the Samsung Connect app and not have to go and unplug it and plug it like usual. The app also makes it very easy to manage the new network and set up your own password for it aside of your router.
Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with a regular cable router that is looking to increase their Wi-fi capabilities!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Connect Home Pro is fast and easy to set up! Within 5 minutes you have a fast and steady Wi-Fi for your whole home. Just plug in the charger and the ethernet cable and it's good to go. Everything is on the Samsung Connect app. You can connect everything, control devices in your home, even turn things on and off.
One thing I loved was that I didn't have to remove my current router. Usually when I change or upgrade routers, I need to reconnect all my devices, reset passwords, and it is a hassle. I just connected the cable to my current router and everything currently connected was still in tact. I connected all my Samsung products to my new Wi-Fi connect home and the speeds are fast! I live in an area where we don't have good signal, so I rely on my Wi-Fi for connection.
I only wish I had other smart home products to test out, such as the Phillips Hue, Smart Lock, or the Amazon Echo. However I do have the Samsung QLED TV and I love how easy it is to connect to everything.
The size and design is very compact and can be stored almost anywhere. Compared to other fast routers that are huge and take up a lot of space, the Samsung Connect Home wins hands down. Another great product from Samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in need of a new wireless router and decided to give the Samsung Connect Home Pro a try. The router has proved to have more range than my previous "extended range" router and passes higher speeds than it did too! The ability to control so much with the SmartHub is awesome, and I can't wait to have more stuff to connect it with.
For those who don't have the ability to hide their router, this box is a great solution, it looks futuristic and sleek, it isn't just a typical box with antenna sticking out of the top. The sleek box would be at home in just about any decor and doesn't have as many lights on the front of it to bother you when trying to watch a movie, if your router is in the same room you watch movies in.
I've tested the capacity of the router having 6 friends over, all connected to WiFi and playing online games on our cell phones. We never ran into any issues with everyone being able to connect and maintain the speeds I pay for from my internet provider.
I would highly recommend this router to anyone who needs a new one, or someone who is looking to combine router and smart hub into one. It would be ideal for someone who may want to have a smart home, but isn't sure, as they could ease into it with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all let me start by saying I was very excited to receive this product for review. Setup was very easy. And the provided Ethernet cable was a welcome addition. The Samsung Connect app makes everything a joy to deal with. I need to dif a bit deeper into the features of the app, but what i have seen and used of it so far i am impressed. I immediately noticed the increased reliability of my Wi-Fi. Speeds seem to be better as well. Althoug, that may be placebo. Time will tell. I will do a little more testing to confirm that. Out of the box this is a beautiful product and I would definitely recommend it. If you have a larger area you are trying to cover I would suggest the Mesh package. But the Connect Home Pro is a definite upgrade to my router provided by my ISP. I have a lot of devices on my Wi-Fi and I can honestly say this things keeps them all connected without a hitch. And im talking an Xbox One, 2 PS4's 3 or 4 smarthphones at any given time. I dont seem to encounter that bottleneck effect i was use to when every one in my home was vanging on the Wi-Fi all at the same time. I am so anxious to test out the Smart Things comparability which I intend toi get into soon. I am a huge Samsung fan, but whether you are or not, the bottom line is if you value network connectivity reliability and speed this is a product well worth checking out.

The Connect Home Pro is a Wi-Fi router and Hub that enables you to control Samsung's SmartThings such as your TV, light bulbs, refrigerator, and many other capable devices while giving you a long-large range of Wi-Fi connection and speed from corner to corner in your home . The Connect Home became really essential to me since I have a 2 story home which sometimes it might be a hassle to navigate from item to item and also have time to sit back and relax. As soon as I did the easy setup, I was proud to know that I now have a smart home and have the ability to connect wirelessly without the worry of losing my connection or walking to every item I want to control. Furthermore, the Connect Home Pro gave me the capability of having an outstanding Wi-Fi connection all over my home and even in my backyard. Also, connecting my Samsung QLED TV was the best experience for me, I was able to turn off and on the TV, and switch channels directly from my phone without the use of my remote control. In addition, I'm impressed that its ability to control other devices at the same time such as a robot vacuum, fridge, speakers and that's only to name a few. Overall, if you want a hub that gives you an amazing Wi-Fi connection and the capability to connect to your home items all in one place the Samsung Connect Home Pro is for you and a great way to make your home a smart home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The router can broadcast two different signals where you can choose between 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or 5GHz Wi-Fi.
You no longer need to choose which signal you want to use when connecting to the router as the router broadcast a single network and if your device support 5GHz it will use it first and if not it will use 2.4GHz which is smart and very unique feature that I really like.
Smartthing hub which is inside the router requiring a different app than the regular smartthings hub.
With the connect pro you will use the app called "Samsung connect" which is fully loaded with all the features you will need. I really like that app and prefer it rather than the regular Smartthings app which I used with the standalone hub.
The only thing I'm missing in the new Samsung connect app is the history, this feature was available in the standalone hub app and I'm not sure why they didn't add it to the new app. With history on the hub app you could see sensor activities times, motion sensor detected and any other thing that happen with your smart home.
As far as the router goes, I get amazing range!
I did have to reboot the device twice over a week and half since it got disconnected from the internet, it's a little excessive to me since only used the device for a week + but hopefully it will get better.
I would recommend everyone who is looking for a great router with smart home ability (both ZigBee and Z-Wave capability) to get the Samsung Connect Home Pro.
If your house/apt is bigger than 1200-1500 square feet I would also recommend to get the 3 devices which connect together and create a meshed network for better signal.

The biggest reason I was interested in this product because we have an excess of streaming/gaming in our home and weak signals have become an issue for us with the multitude of connected devices. In this, the Connect Home Pro has definitely lived up to my expectations. Zero issues since the first day of set up. If this is what you are looking for, it is hands down worth the investment. As a wi-fi hub/extender, set up only took a couple of minutes and was very simple and straight forward. Plug in, download app, connect, done.
The smart hub features have proved more difficult and disappointing for me. To begin with, I will admit that I am not very technically inclined. I like simplicity and ease of set up. I have a multitude of smart devices and hubs. They all function off separate apps, I was hoping that this would integrate them into one fluid system. After a week of re-setting, searching, and trying to add manually, I still have no control over any of them from my Samsung Connect app. Some have been found and connected but no interface. I cannot set rules to control and automate any of my devices.
I feel that instructions for those that have smart systems already in place would solve a lot of frustration. Also, I’d strongly recommend checking the catalog for compatible appliances. My 2 yr old Samsung washer/dryer/microwave will not work with this, nor my Vizio.
I will keep & recommend this based on the wi-fi boosting capabilities alone. Thanks @TheInsidersUS and @Samsung for solving my signal issues with the Connect Home Pro!

The device came very well packaged, as usual. Some may not care about that sort of thing but I have always enjoyed the way Samsung packages things. They at very clean and not too overdone.
Setup of the device was very simple, in my case. I had no issue getting any of my wireless devices to connect after I named the connection and set the password. Using Samsung Connect app on my S7 was easy as well. Also had no issue connecting a smart tv or my wife's phone to the device. The Connect app is where you can do the name change and the password and a couple other settings. The Connect App does what I believe it is supposed to.
My initial setup was as a router, and it worked great. I was able to get my full speed, 260/30 in every section of my nearly 1000 square foot home. I had to resort to using it in bridge mode though, due to not having specific advanced options for ports forwarding and such. The range in bridge mode is still there, but the speed, for me, was not. That is more to do with my current router than the Connect Home Pro.
The router functions themselves are where it fall short for me. For my use case, more Ethernet ports would be great. Also, more advanced functions for specific port forwarding and such are needed. Though you can control certain things through the Connect App, I would've liked to have been able to access router setting through my pc web browser. I was unable to do so.
I cannot speak of anything related to smart lights and things, as I do not have any.
All in all, The Samsung Connect Home Pro is a nice little device. For a simple setup where you need range, I would say this would fulfill your needs quite nicely. For more advanced use cases, it just doesn't have enough options. Maybe Samsung will release a more beefed up version with all the extras need for advanced setup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a Samsung "Fan". I was slightly skeptical however, about Smart Hubs. I wondered why they are something we should buy. Since samsung released the connect home I was intrigued. Thankfully, #TheInsidersUS, graced me with the opportunity to do so. In the box, you receive, the Hub itself, the AC Power adapter, Ethernet Network Cable, and set up guides, and warranty information. Set up, was extremely simple, and fool proof. In my particular situation, I live in an apartment literally surrounded by Trees and filled with many other obstacles. These factors have always caused a problem and degraded my home Wi-Fi. I've tried multiple extenders, and such, most of which constantly still caused connectivity issues. So Network was my main focus, regarding this product. I must say, following set up, I was amazed at the range and reliability this hub provided my Home Wi-Fi Network. This device improved coverage area, and speed. Increasing speed particularly by a consistent 30%! I had high hopes at this point. I did experience 1 or 2 issues when my network wasn't functioning at all. Thankfully I found these were related to my service provider, and damaged lines in my area. Upon having a successful experience with network range, I decided to purchase a few smart Home devices to test out. I purchased a Smart Wifi Outlet, Light Bulb, And Motion Detection device (for security). This was a little more challenging to set up, and had connection issues with these devices. Overall it was a new, but not impressive experience. In conclusion, I am pleasantly surprised with the Connect Home Pro's durable and compact design, Home WiFi Network Improvement capabilities, and ease of set up. I was left desiring a bit more in regards to Smart Home device Connectivity and Compatibility. This is something I hope is improved in the near future, and equally efficient in both Network and Hub Capabilities. Despite this, it is definitely a product I would recommend to family and friends. Especially those with similar home conditions to mine, that Impede Network efficiency. I am extremely Thankful to #TheInsidersUS for allowing me this opportunity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving the Samsung Connect Home Pro, I immediately unpacked like a kid on Christmas. Once opened, I quickly (and easily) setup the device. But soon after setup, my experience went south. Having AT&T U-Verse, I consistently get 355 Mbps for download and 250 for upload. That all changed when I setup the Samsung Connect Pro. I almost immediately noticed speeds as low as 88 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload. I also began to notice the connection wasn't stable as I would lose connection in the bathroom of my 815 sq. ft. apartment. The connection was no longer suitable for my needs, so I disconnected the Connect Home Pro Wi-Fi until I could reconfigure my router modem combo to fit my needs. At that point I began searching for what 'smart home' compatible devices I have and planned on buying. There is where I found my biggest disappointment. My 2015 flagship SUHD TV which cost over $1,000 was not compatible with the Connect Home Pro. I refuse to replace a perfectly good SUHD smart TV that is less than two years old. I then found items that I planned on buying such as a compatible thermostat. I invested in Samsung smart outlets and sensors and will be receiving those soon. I felt that these tools would help create the "Smart Home" of which I desire. I also know they were compatible. Once received I will update my review with satisfaction or that of dissatisfaction. Recently however, I sat down to reconfigure my network settings and noticed that I am now getting near normal speeds of 330 Mbps download and 230 upload. The connection stability has also increased though I still see a drop when going to the bathroom only 30 feet away from where the Samsung Connect Pro is positioned. Mind you the drop is not bad as I pull 270 Mbps download and 183 upload. Maybe it is just my apartment build. As far as the little things, i think the app is well designed and the design of the device is sleek and simple. I would love for it to be in black but that doesn't make or break the deal. Overall, now that the router functionality is up to par with my expectations, I am satisfied with the device and would recommend the device. Soon I will have more devices to connect to it to maximize its capabilities and will update my review then.
