[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it for Music Production primarily which the curved nature saves me money time, sanity, and especially SPACE when running multiple Audio Plug-ins AND professional recording software simultaneously. Most musicians resort to using 2, 3, or more fairly large monitors in order to manage the software they use efficiently when making music, but not I, not anymore. The length of this screen is astonishingly more space and cost efficient, as well as eco friendly in contrast to my old multi monitor set up, which also was more often than not a clunky cumbersome mess. And the visual acuity of a gaming monitor is a nice bonus too. Thanks Samsung! 😊

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this a gaming monitor, I use it for work. I was looking for a good but affordable QHD monitor and this fit the bill. I found it locally on sale and that made it even easier to choose. I have the monitor connected via DisplayPort to make use of the fastest refresh rate. The picture is bright and sharp. Unlike most of my monitors, I do not have the brightness all the way up. I did have some challenges getting the monitor to "wake up" with the computer. Once I disabled all of the "auto power off" settings I could find, it has been pretty good. Until I figured that out, it would take several presses off the center button to get the monitor working again after a longer idle period (>4 hours).

Less than a year old and started having issues. Both a horizontal and vertical line showed up on the monitor and would not go away. I assume is stopped drawing these pixels. It is still under warranty and the Samsung online help was great in setting me up to have it shipped to be checked and repaired. But soon after that I started getting a bunch of irritating texts and phone calls from Samsung asking questions I had already answered and then very quickly they cancelled the help ticket. Samsung seems to want to make it very difficult or impossible to have the warranty honored.

It is so perfect because the demands for gaming is there with no issues and my demand for work with scaling blueprints and running 3d cad program. Both work and gaming requires a lot from the monitor and I can easily say this monitor meets all criteria I need. I can't find any issues with it. It doesn't blow off heat, it's so crisp! My computer desk isn't the greatest and even the balance on this monitor is great. I've had a few previous monitors and they've fallen down when I knock the desk by accident. This monitor stand is great as well.

Depending on what I am working on i want the center of the monitor at different heights and this works perfectly. I purchased a pair of these monitors and most of the time they are same hight but sometimes it is helpful to have the two at different heights to give perspective to the object. The resolution is great and the monitors work with either hdmi or display port output the picture is crisp clean and vibrant, almost as good as the display on my book pro3.

Not only is this the best monitor I have ever owned, and moving up from a 27” to a 32” monitor was a great decision. QHD is a perfect resolution as it looks great and is easily driven by a modest GPU like my RTX 3070 FE. This monitor checks all the boxes: speed, resolution, great color gamut, adaptive sync, great viewing angles, and a full adjustable stand. After a simple calibration using the Windows 11 native tool, the brightness, contrast are great and the IPS glow nearly invisible. The best part? It is affordable, and easily the best value around.

After using the monitor for over a month, I am pleasantly surprised. Look, it's definitely not a high end OLED monitor, but the color and refresh on it are more than enough for every day use with the occasional gaming on it. I generally use it to stream TV in my room, and the definition always holds up, the colors display nice and deep and run very comparable to my Samsung Tizen set in the living room. When gaming, I barely ever notice any input lag while running games off Steam or GamePass. The image remains smooth and it keeps up with the FPS put out by my Alienware laptop on 1080p settings. No regrets about this purchase.

The 180hz, 1440p, very easy set up and the ability to adjust the monitor in any way you want. I wouldn't necessarily call this a budget monitor but it is worth the money. The only thing I do not like (nothing to do with performance or screen quality) is the plastic stand cover in the back. Never seems to stay on no matter what I do. Other than that, it's actually a very nice monitor and well worth the money.

Using the monitor I was able to play at higher than 120 and it looked incredible. Gaming was smooth and I found myself to be a little faster than the game systems. Monitor picture was perfect. Watching movies and TV are equally joyful with the Pic being bright without bothering my eyes. Great job Samsung.

Ive played console on a TV all my life. Very recently started looking into monitors to see if it would give me a slight edge on the competitive multiplayer games I play. I went from a 48” 1080p TV to this monitor and it completely changed my gaming experience. I run a PS5 right now, so while I cant take advantage of everything this monitor has to offer, I can take advantage of the 1440p,120hz, 1ms response, & IPS panel through an HDMI. I play COD ranked with no problems. My shot tracking and movement has improved greatly, feels like I took off the ankle weights and Im on skates. I thought it would take time adjusting to the screen size coming from a TV gamer all my life, so I ordered the 32” and it took no time at all to adjust to it other than sitting a little closer. Overall Id recommend this monitor for anyone looking to improve their gaming experience since it comes at a great price point for the features included.

The G50D might be the best budget 1440p monitor for this price point. It's not like the display is the best of the best but for the price, it's a great starting monitor for kids beginning to build their setups. Though I feel like for 1440p the G50D might look the best in 27" to max out the ppi. Overall, it's a good all-around monitor for this price point.

Updated review..I identified the problem. This monitor can not turn on synchronously with the computer.thats why often the system does not load by giving the video signal error..Every time for normal boot you need in advance press menu key to arouse monitor,and then swich on pc button..I still hope you can fix this and make a new firmware !

I bought this just under a month ago and couldn’t be more pleased with the build quality and features. Total score for the price. One thing though. In order to change the refresh rate you have to do that with the monitor, not the computer. If I had just investigated that a bit better I could have saved more money on cables. Haha

The picture is great, and the monitors are built nicely, but the software is so awful that I can't recommend them. They just won't connect to my sources sometimes, and the screens will randomly turn off. And switching between 2 sources is a mess. I'll keep them, but I'm not buying a samsung product again after this.

It's a very good monitor although it sometimes does stutter even on 180 Hz on a DisplayPort to Thunderbolt 4 connection. I don't know why and this problem hasn't been resolved yet. It's one of the better LCDs on the market and for gaming at QHD 180 Hz it's amazing, one of the best at this price.

The resolution and refresh rate are great, but the input detection is SO BAD, enough to knock off two stars. Switching between my work and personal computers means I need to completely detach the laptop from the screen for it to detect input, something I have never seen on another monitor.
