Webcam is not working on your Samsung laptop or notebook
Windows 10 treats your built-in cameras just like your cell phone does. You can use it to participate in video chats, or just take pictures. But if it is not working, you may need a driver update or to adjust your settings. After each step, test the camera again using Windows' Camera app.
Note: Information provided applies to laptops and notebooks sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for devices sold in other countries.
Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure that the app you are trying to use with your camera has permission to use it.
Check for updates using Samsung Update or Windows Updates to see if there are any driver updates available, and install them.
Restart the Samsung laptop or notebook after installing all updates available.
If the camera still does not work, restore your laptop or notebook to its original settings.
If the camera still does not work after performing a factory reset, visit our Support Centre to request service.
