Add or remove Edge panels on your Galaxy phone
With so many apps and features on your phone, sometimes it takes a while to find what you need. Kind of like speed dial, the Edge panels on your Galaxy phone let you access your favorite apps and content quickly and easily. And to make things better, you can add, remove, or download Edge panels any time you want.
Note: Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for smartphones sold in other countries. The Edge panel may not be available on all phone models and software versions.
If you always check your favorite sports team's scores and how the stock market is doing, you can add your most-used apps to your Edge panel for quick access.
To open up the menu, swipe left on the Edge panel handle; it is a gray tab on the right side of the screen. Then, tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear, and it is located at the bottom of the screen). Select or deselect the edge panel you want to add or remove.
Note: You can select up to 10 Edge panels.

Swipe left on the Edge panel handle to open up the menu, and then tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear, and it is located at the bottom of the screen). Tap Galaxy Store at the bottom.
Note: If this option does not appear, it means your phone cannot download new edge panels.
Select the Edge panel app you want to download, and then follow the on-screen prompts to download it.
Note: Some downloadable Edge panels may require you to purchase them. Some devices may not be compatible with downloading additional Edge panels.
The customization does not end with adding and removing apps; you can also edit the Apps Edge panel. For example, if you use some apps more than others, you can move it to the top of the list.
Swipe left to open the Edge panel and then tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear, and it is located at the bottom of the screen). Tap Edit below the Edge panel you want to customize.
Note: The Edit option may not appear unless you have selected the panel. Additionally, not all individual Edge panels can be edited.
While still in the Edit menu, tap the More options icon (the three vertical dots), and then tap the switch next to "Show recent apps" to turn this feature on or off.
Note: Additionally, you can even create App pairs on the Apps edge panel to make multitasking easier.
The Edge panel handle is so transparent, you can barely see it on the side of your phone's screen. If you do not like this, you can customize the handle's position, size, color, and transparency to fit your needs.
Swipe left on the Edge panel handle to open up the menu, and then tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear, and it is located at the bottom of the screen). Tap Back at the top of the screen, tap Handle.
From here, you can customize the settings as desired.
