How to set up and use the Heart rate monitor in the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Fit

Unlock the full health-tracking power of your Samsung Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Fit with real-time heart rate monitoring. Follow this guide to configure your settings and position your wearable for consistent, reliable data.

To measure your heart rate with the Galaxy Watch, first set the heart rate measurement cycle in the Wearables app, then ensure the watch is worn properly for accurate heart rate readings.

Step 1. Open the Wearable app on your phone > Tap on the Watch settings icon.

Step 2. Tap Health.

Step 3. Tap Heart rate.

Step 4. Select a measurement cycle.

For accurate measurements, wear the watch snugly around your wrist as shown, positioning it about one finger’s width above your wrist bone toward your elbow. Ensure the back sensor stays in direct contact with your skin.

To measure your heart rate with the Galaxy Fit, first set the heart rate measurement cycle in the Wearable app, then ensure the watch is worn properly for accurate heart rate readings.

In the Wearable app, navigate to Band settings. From there, select Health, tap Heart rate, and choose your desired measurement cycle.

For accurate measurements, wear the watch snugly around your wrist as shown, positioning it about one finger’s width above your wrist bone toward your elbow. Ensure the back sensor stays in direct contact with your skin.

Note:
