I'm using 3 setups for it. in vertical mode I'm using it for work because I can pretty much simulate 3-4 monitors on it plus in addition to 2 other monitors that I have which sets me up with about 6 monitors. And, finally, I get enough space for all the apps I'm running (on average I'm running around 10-15 apps at the same time and I do need as much space as I can get). In horizontal mode I'm using it for games and trust me nothing beats it when you play fps or simulator. in flight simulator you get the feeling like you are actually there paired it with 165 refresh rate it is a beast.

OI absolutely love the monitor, but there are a few minor issues that I've noticed. In my opinion, the buttons and the mode switching are just a tad too sensitive. It would be great if they could also provide the option to change frequencies specifically for Samsung TVs. It can be quite frustrating when your wife is changing channels or adjusting the volume, and it affects your monitor as well. However, the real distraction arises in the multiview mode. Occasionally, when I turn on the unit, one side of the monitor goes blank or becomes fuzzy. Thankfully, I've found that exiting and reentering the multiview mode resolves this issue.

The curved screen makes a huge difference in the gaming experience, driving is awesome and playing soccer is also better compared to a flat screen. The other part of the great experience is being able to download the hue sync app and make additional light strips and hue lights (bought separately) to project light against the wall synchronized with the on screen content. This is awesome tech by philips. I was eager to use the multi screen feature with 4 different inputs. I don't se myself using it often. Overall I'm very happy with my huge monitor.

i really wanted to love this thing its great for console gaming and movies/shows . Its horrible for pc gaming the constant disconnects I get while playing on my computer is freaking horrible . i can be mid gameplay and the monitor would just decide to disconnect and i have to wait 2 seconds for it to find my PC again or sometimes it just losses connection entirely and i have to unplug the hdmi and connect it back and set it up again manually every time i really wanted to love it but for its price and performance its just a big TV and not a gaming monitor . Sadly i think its passed im able to return it so im stuck with it now.

This is the absolute worst "gaming" monitor I've ever seen. Changing modes takes a minute or more. Game mode is nothing but a sponsered advertiement for Microsoft Xbox. You cannot remove theses ads and if you turn off "Game mode" or the screen reverts to 120HTz and non HDR non 4k worst possible resolution on any screen. Do not buy this! There are better, smarter options. If you insist on getting one, I'll give you mine! I despise this screen! I hate it so much I will never buy another Samsung brand item ever!! I buy a new phone every year, has always been Samsung! Never again. I sell SSD at my small computer shop, only Samsung! Never again! I despise this monitor!

Was super stoked to get this monitor but after 5 days of usage, the monitor started to develop stuck pixels in the lower left center of the monitor. One of the pixels is a harsh white and the other red. It's noticeable in a variety of scenarios from work to gaming and was extremely upsetting to see in such an expensive new monitor. I reached out to the Samsung support for 2-3 hours only for them to close the chat on me when trying to request an exchange/repair of my monitor. Not to mention I also have samsung care + on this product. The monitor is awesome but I cannot in good faith buy a Samsung display if this is how they treat their top customers on top end hardware.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic monitor with some literal heavy lifting, the clarity is superb, and great for TV watching too. Paired with a Samsung Sound bar, it's an experience! Still, the shortcomings are present: whenever you're on PC and you change resolution, it really has to take 10 seconds to come back up. This is frequent if you're playing full screen games like overwatch or The Finals. Also, sometimes it has a flicker issue, where toggling the resolution between 60 and 160Hz resets the monitor sometimes. All in all, get the 1st gen as open box if you can find it. Best to mount it somewhere, as eventually I'd get a wall mount for it or a strong enough desk that can be a standing desk.

I bought this monitor on 4th of July sale. This monitor is mindblowing the curve really makes it more immersive. The refresh rate is fantastic the picture is great, it just took some tweaking. Im coming from an oled because my oled had some dead pixels. Black Level in oled is unmatched but this monitor makes up for it in all other areas. I had the issue with the constant disconnecting and spinning wheel , apparently even though i was using a 8k hdmi cable that was the issue. I changed to cable that came in box and so far so good. features in this monitor are great its like having your own personal imax screen

I set this up almost as soon as it got delivered, and in all my time I've not found a monitor that comes close to this! I have two inputs coming from my PC, 1 input from my consoles, and 1 input set for my work computer! I can work from my work computer, while monitoring my entire network from my primary home computer, and still have space to game while I have downtime or on my breaks while still being able to keep an eye on everything else going on on my boards. This has far exceeded my expectations, and the clarity from my setup is the best it's ever been! Samsung keeps impressing me, and proving why I'm brand loyal!

The workspace feature on the Ark is incredible. It makes working so enjoyable, It makes you feel as though your a part of the screen! The gaming option is yet another unbelievable feature the Ark encompasses. The speed, clarity, and refresh rate just exceeded all my expectations. I was expecting a great product but this surpassed even the highest of standards I could have set. The Ark is truly impressive in all facets and I would highly recommend this product!

This does not function as a game monitor, will not run any game above 60 hz on a PC. It took me about 1.5 hours to get the monitor to even project a consistent image, albeit after turning various Nvidia and game mode settings off (which reduces performance), and even then there was constant graininess and a meager 60 hz refresh rate. One of the most over-hyped, terribly constructed software monitors I’ve ever encountered. Never dealt with any graphics issues at all on any monitor until this. Running an RTX 3090 Samsung support is utterly unhelpful, claiming it is my PC that has the issue, when all over Samsung forums people are reporting the same issue. Terrible product, buyers beware

There are 4 of them but lack of display port is shameful. Game mode causes the monitor to randomly black out during gaming sessions. Using the ark dial takes some getting used. Disappointed that you can't have multiple HDMI inputs displayed on screen simultaneously same goes for streaming apps. Takes a while to tab in and out of apps with just a black screen and a spinning circle for 5 seconds. Overall it's great and I love it. I see myself getting another G9 in the future.

The HDMI 2.1 new gen ports allows you to connect to all new gen consoles and get full usage of the port. The sock built speakers are great but o would still connect some type of external sound! The multi view is great plus , where u can do numerous of task at once! It is very heavy to put on wall your self so please try to get another hand to help! The wall mounts were difficult to find the correct size to fit…. Overall I recommend this monitor to every gamer out there!

The 55 inch is GREAT for gaming but I gave it 4 stars only because as a PC monitor, it is very very bad. It definitely is not a monitor having just HDMI connectivity which completely takes away from the use of the full graphics card. I was VERY disappointed when it came to that section of the device. Other than that, as a gaming TV, it is the best of the best. Tue curve is a monster and the fact of its size and quality picture for gaming is unmatched! I wish it was set up to be a monitor. I am waiting for tue 57 inch one which has a DisplayPort connection. Now that is what I am talking about!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My upgrade from Ark Gen 1 to Gen 2 is a must simple for the multi hdmi input. I work from home a few days a week and the multi windows/apps are great for either my productivity for work or have something more fun on the side. Most days I'm working on one window and streaming Samsung TV on another. Sometimes I will mirror from my phone or tablet too. Changing sizes on the windows is still a feature too. All my other Samsung products sync easily as well, whether is my Buds Pro 3, my Z Fold 6 or my ultra 8 tablet. I also game on it with my Xbox and the curve just makes it more immersive and fun.

Visually (as an independent gaming monitor or for streaming) it is awesome. But, as a hybrid (trying to do both at the same time), average. You can not multi-view more than one HDMI source at a time. When I have tried to have my PS5 and then ApplePlay simultaneously in split screen, there is allot of stuttering and it is unusable. You also can not have 4k in any multi-screen configuration. So, despite these drawbacks, I will not go through the hassle of returning it. Primarily because I truly wanted it for single screen gaming. Therefore, 3 stars for the actual value of this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the screen for streaming, light gaming and daily work, while still early in ownership, I highly recommend this for someone interested in an ultrawide display but wanting more height in their display than width. Some of the key highlights of me choosing this display over others was the precision of color quality to use for occasional film and photography editing as well as the one of a kind ability of portrait mode and integrating multiple "sources". I say it in quotes because as of writing this. Only 1 HDMI input can be mixed together, the other sources must be a built in app or a wireless display broadcast to it. With the limitations understood, this is a overall really great display!

7 days and so far it is everything I hoped it would be. Excellent for work and home. Similar size to 4 full 32"? monitors, but seamless --> easier to manage than 4 full-size monitors. Easy to switch between devices, up to 4 (3 HDMI, 1 Display port). Works great as a TV as well - YouTube TV, YouTube, other video streaming services...

I have had to move farther back from it to be able to see the whole thing, and really appreciate the ability to divide it up into separate sectors with different inputs. I have had it for only a week, and keep discovering more features. The picture is very clear, setup was straightforward...but you will need two people. It is a beast at over 100 lbs. The pedestal and backing are very heavy. Make sure that you have a desk that can support it. I've played a few games and experienced no ghosting. This thing is amazing and would highly recommend.

This monitor is like two mended Samsung TVs in a curve. Impressive and the resolution makes you forget it's a monitor. Hooking it up will take you one YouTube video take. This monitor allowed me to stream movies and play an online game at the same time. If you constantly find yourself doing two things at the same time and don't want to catch whiplash this is the Samsung for you. It's also transformative depending on my needs. Previously, I used a Samsung TV for my gaming and even though that was amazing, the difference in quality with the Ark is amazing. If you want the most realistic picture for any game, this would check all the boxes. Now that I use it for work, the true benefits of this monitor are apparent. It had the ability to allow me to run multiple desktops for all my reports and navigate smoothly across each one.

It actually enables you to have the monitor closer other 55" monitors could be because the curve keeps more of the screen in your view. Motion blur is handled very well on it with basically zero ghosting even on high fps games. Media content is also a pleasure to watch. Content creation on it is a dream. Being able to rotate the Montior is icing on 5he cake. If you can get it on one of it's many stellar sales there's no monitor that's comes close!

I tried multiple games and they all functioned seamlessly. You won’t find a better option. The speed and quality of the image are outstanding. It makes me feel like I am in the front row of a movie theater, while giving me an immersive experience while playing my favorite video games. The sound system is impressive, as it has 4 corner speakers, making the sound very clear and real!! If you are looking to have 3 different experiences going at once, this is also a great option. I suggest this be on a very wide desk and in an area with open space to maximize your experience. Well done! This is an amazing monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Odyssey Ark for a range of uses, from multitasking 4 different screen doing graduate research and writing, it enables me to access all the info I need at the same time and not having to switch between live screens. The extra Ambient Mode features are just so immersive and create a truly expansive environment. Just wish Samsung would permit you to download new or optional Ambient Mode features and live screens. Also, offer the option to expand Ambient Mode on older Samsung Smart TVs. Ambient Mode is such a great feature of which Samsung should significantly expand and focus upon. Overall, I would like to see an 8K Odyssey Ark 55' or 60" and keep pushing the envelope in this regard and aspect.

That skepticism was completely lost when I first used it for my online multi player game. It has to have the clearest resolution I ever witnessed with vibrant colors. Performance is bar none with a viewing angle optimal for any advanced multi player gaming. The ability to observe multiple players actions with such clarity and no lagging is a luxury few other ever experience with other monitors. I am a Samsung Gaming Monitor buyer for life now. Try for yourself and you will never consider another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the productivity increase from this thing as a vertical monitor next to my ultra wide OLED that I use for gaming etc. The only complain I'd have is the backlight has some problems with icons and sometimes the mouse doesn't trigger the localized blacklight to turn on. This gets worse when you turn on auto-dimming or whatever, but then the icons all look better. The one box runs a bit hot, but far from important. Samsung needs to do a better job overall with their remotes controlling multiple devices, I've got pieces of foil and tape over sensors all over the room this monitor is in to prevent cross communication. Mainly IR which seems to be active instead of bluetooth when the monitor is off being turned on.

Discovering these limitations after purchase, especially with the announcement of the next-gen model, lead to buyer's remorse. Despite its standout features, the first-gen Odyssey Arc will get the attention of anyone seeing it for the first time! I sit about 4.5 feet from this thing tilted down at my chair. Would recommend for secondary gaming monitor since 2nd Gen features greatly improved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The monitor is large but with the ARK being curved, it feels comfortable because I’m not having to peer out towards the corners of the screen. I use the monitor mainly for work at my home office as well as gamin and with gaming, you feel much more immersed especially playing RTS types like Aliens: Dark Descent. I like the wheel controller and the menu choices that are available and fairly easy to navigate. Since I use this mainly for computer use, the monitor streaming feature will only connect to the monitor speakers and not to the speakers attached to the computer. I have to use separate speakers connected to the ARK55 to play decent sound. Overall, the ARK55 was a great buy and I am very happy with this purchase.

From a productivity standpoint is a beast, it has up to 4 video inputs so I have both my personal and work laptop, both using 2 monitor spots each. I use the tv box as my docking station and I can seamlessly change from one laptop with just the remote. For gaming, no need to go into details as it's basically the latest cutting edge technology (and a little more with Ark mode/vertical mode). In addition, it's also a smart tv, so I have all my streaming apps and shows that I can watch while doing work.

Almost all of it can be done with one person, besides one point where the Odyssey is picked up and put on its stand. The graphics, both the vibrant colors and sharp resolution, were great. We really enjoyed the graphics combined with the exceptional sound quality while playing the new XBox "Rocket League" game! I have also connected it to my MacBook Pro and am loving the large screen and characteristics of the Odyssey to do my work!

Multi view is a joke, you can only add in one of their integrated apps - samsung internet, samsung tv, or youtube - you CANNOT add any of the apps you've downloaded as a screen in multi view. Which, IMO, is the dumbest thing ever. If you just do two views on multi view, and mirror your desktop, then there is a ton of black space above and below the screens. By itself, as a single monitor either for gaming, movie watching, or work, it's great. But, there are a ton of other FAR less expensive options out there for just those purposes. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend Samsung allow any app in multi view to actually make this worth the money, and allow your screens to fill all area of the monitor regardless of recommended aspect ratio.

You have to go into game mode to get the 32:9. HDMI and kvm switch is really nice, to share mouse and keyboard with multipledevices. The sound is great for built in speakers. Streaming games is great, loads fast. What make this 5 stars is double audio with HDMI devices, not just in monitor apps. Love to work on laptop and listen to music, or stream a show. Be able to listen to music when click on laptop screen. With that i could have monitor for everything, and do not have to find the webpage for music and stop it. The easy connect screen share takes a lot of work to get a good quality resolution of laptop.

disclaimer: i do not game and use this primarily for productivity. i've been using a flat 55" uhd samsung tv as a monitor for about 2 years now so i am already accustomed to a big screen. some of the negative comes from not being able to support multiple inputs at once. but honestly how many things can we really focus on at a single time? why waste screen space for a console and a pc at the same time when you can either just use the console or the pc? the screen size, brightness, colors, and functionality is awesome and i'm considering getting a second one. even the built-in speakers in this monitor surprised me. if you're on the fence and can be happy with using a single input source to its fullest extent, then don't hesitate.

Throughout my life, I had solely utilized a second-hand television screen as a monitor. Consequently, when I received this item from my acquaintance, I lacked confidence in its capabilities. However, after approximately four months of usage, I discovered that reverting to my previous television monitors would be an impossibility. The reasons for this are twofold: 1. The colors displayed on this monitor are considerably more vibrant and distinct. 2. Previously, I would experience neck discomfort after prolonged use of monitors, but this issue has been completely eliminated since using this computer.

I love the everything about it except for the volume. To change volume you have to raise/lower it by, in my opinion, way to much to get it to seem like it changed at all. Example: if I'm having an issue hearing something, I have to raise it like 30-40 levels. I have a Samsung t.v. and to raise the volume on it, I only have to go up 10-15. I expected the Ark to be the same. It behaves the same with Intelligent Sound Mode on or off. I've had the Ark for 3 months now and am really considering using the speakers I was using before getting the Ark...

The fact that it is not just a monitor but also a fully featured smart TV. In the morning before work I like to put on some You Tube and have my coffee while I get ready. That used to involve booting up my PC but not any more! I can leave the PC off and jump right into my favorite content. I simply can't go back to life before this monitor was in it.

Ein wirklich toller Bildschirm. Die Größe erschlägt einen am Anfang wirklich. Die Anschluss-Box ist toll weil dadurch nur noch ein Kabel an den Bildschirm geht. Aber es gibt auch negatives. Er könnte noch weiter runter gehen. Zwischen Bildschirm und Fuß sind 11cm Platz die man in der Höhenverstellung gut gebrauchen könnte. Außerdem ist das Verbingungskabel der Anschlussbox zum Bildschirm Silber. Warum das wenn alles andere schön dezent schwarz ist. Aber alles in allem ein super Bildschirm den ich mir jederzeit wieder kaufen würde

This monitor has the most features I've ever seen in a monitor and most I never thought I need till I started using it. I though a 55" monitor would be too much, but with the features you can use the 4k 165hz screen at any size you want and can also change the aspect ratio which is awesome. I wish there was more freedom of where you could place the other displays, but maybe in an update that will change. I would recommend to gamers and people who work from home who use multiple displays. Only thing I wish it could do was allow you to either stack 2 utra wide displays at 2k or have 1 2k display and 2 1080 displays on top of the ultra wide.

It seems like every day I find something new and special like I love about this thing. I guess I wasn't expecting it to have all the features of a Smart TV but with the resolution and frame rate of a high-quality gaming monitor. You can plug in an external hard drive loaded with movies directly to the base dock for a quality streaming experience. You can stream games to it using NVidia Geforce Now and a keyboard/mouse/controller. When I'm working, I like to throw Spotify up on it, turn on the lyrics and sing along. The only thing I have to say about it that isn't positive is that it weighs like 120-140lbs with the stand. It was difficult to get up onto its table by myself and I dread the thought of having to move or transport it when my time here is up.

i have only had this thing for about 24 hours but it is absolutely the best monitor i have ever used, if you lied to me and told me it was oled i'd almost believe you except that it's too bright for an oled. the 165hz is butter smooth on games with fast mouse turning and watching movies on it is no joke better than a lot of theaters i have paid to get into, the sound is amazing and i can't wait to set it up with some bluetooth speakers for the surround. it was pricy but thanks to samsung/td financing it's not so bad. it's so immersive i actually have a touch of that vr vertigo feeling when gaming on it, but i think it's just a matter of getting used to it. the ppi is a tad low but there's no gaming hardware that can really efficiently push 8k yet anyway.

My previous gaming monitor was great for gaming but colors were not very accurate. The odyssey is great in both! Colors are way more accurate and the gaming is beautiful and super smooth with the high response rate and free sync. Only grip I have is the swapping from game mode back and forth. I wish it was easier or even automatic when it senses a game start. Overall it deserves great praise for being such an overkill monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this monitor as the primary in a two-monitor setup. My other monitor is an LG 43". It's used for streaming, web browsing, email, gaming, etc. It's connected to a 8-port KVM, so I use it across Windows and MacOS. There are sometimes issues with MacOS recognizing the monitor is connected, but that's fairly rare. Picture quality is excellent, and I love this size. My only serious complaint is the lack of multi-view options. A monitor that supports 4 HDMI inputs should allow multi-view across at least two of those inputs. Samsung limits multi-view to a single HDMI input and a subset of the built-in apps that run on the monitor. This is especially bad since it limits the utility of one of the big selling features of the monitor, the ability to rotate the display.

In terms of hardware everything about this is great. However in software.... and customer support, it's a letdown. Dolby Atmos for Home Theater does not work in Windows 11 (no system audio, nvidia cards). Samsung support told me "it doesn't support atmos" but it says it on product sticker.... tier 2 support said reboot my pc. Very unhelpful. Can't use dual hdmi sources. When I plug in a soundbar and turn on Game Mode there is no picture. Screen is incredible. Features on paper are. Fixable firmware issues are killer

Each was my main monitor at one time before the g9. I wish I could budget two more of the Odyssey Arc G9 monitors. Having 3 in an arc with surround gaming, nv or amd, would be awesome. When a do more productivity type work, browse, excel, word (office in general) the large size and super clear text is pure uber. If you can budget and fit in your desk/wall I can highly recommend. The only con is physically setting up the device. The in instruction say you need a friend, believe it. Once done you don't need to worry about that again. Can absolutely not be used for gaming, its horrible in almost every way. Software1: the split view and multiview they talk to much about is flawed and locked to silly settings. Software2: it will often interrupt everything you're doing to tell you that a software update is available, or that you have been inactive for too long (even though you are gaming) you then have to find the remote and press multiple buttons before you can continue with your game. Software3: if i leave and it goes to sleep mode, it wakes up with a useless resolution and i have to do 12 presses on the remote to get my desired resolution back (go into settings, disable and enable gaming mode, leave settings, wait, now you can contiue) they messed up so badly, this is a decent smart tv, not a pc monitor.

the monitor is amazing. just want to put that there first. the team at samsung definitely put some serious thought into this thing. the performance is top notch. this paired with an nvidia rtx 3090 rig is just beautiful. the few things i had some hiccups on. 1. it had some initial setup issues when using an iphone. (no big deal) 2. i wish that i could have stadia, geforce now or xbox running at the same time when in landscape more. 3. usb type c ports at the base box would have been phenomenal especially to connect with the pc. i'm coming from the odyssey neo g9 series so i had to make some changes but gaming and video editing is amazing on this for extended periods without the eye soreness. if you are looking for a tv/monitor replacement this is one you should totally look at.

The monitor from the panel perspective is awesome. However, the software and one connect box make this a terrible product. It’s clear based on the features that were focused on, using this thing as a monitor was not a priority. USB2.0, 4 HDMI ports where only one can be used at a time. No display port and no thunderbolt 3/4. There’s all these useless features you see on Samsung’s TV line that I wish I could disable. I wanted a monitor. Work like a monitor. There’s dumb issues that should just work but don’t like auto power when your computer wakes from sleep. Everything that’s wrong with this product is pretty much the fault of whoever was in charge of the one connect box portion. There’s a lot of cool gimmick features but the Ark missed the mark on the fundamental basics.

It's absolutely absurd that this does not support multiple input sources for multi-view. I've had this monitor the day it was released and I love using it. It's a shame that a giant monitor designed for "multiple views" ONLY SHOWS BUILT IN SOFTWARE/APPS! The software is craptastic. Bluetooth barely works and the latest update has major performance problems. The menu will lag 2-3 seconds after EVERY INPUT. You are better off buying two ultra-wide monitors from LG(That's what I was using before).

Have had this for about 2 months. I don't use all of the features. I use it mostly for a Computer Monitor and it is great for that. Accidentally found a setting yesterday that makes the picture AMAZING (not sure which one though). This is NOT something you set up by yourself. It needs at least 2 MEN. Minor issues: Stand at lowest setting is a bit too high. Was Expecting MUCH better native sound (4 speaker and 2 subs it says) - ended up with a Bose Soundbar. Support didn't know it Toslink on controller box was in or out (or really anything about this Monitor). Does a very very poor job at switching from Full Screen gaming to apps on the second Monitor. (weird black screen gap). Lastly, I have ignored the update as people in Reddit have reported it messes up the Multi-input.

I do development and support and this monitor gives me the equivalent amount of working space to four 1920x1080 monitors. And at 4k high refresh the screen is smooth as butter on any application I use, from Video Meetings, Remote Desktops and anything else I toss at it. The ability to adjust the height of the screen is very convenient. I do not use it in portrait mode so cant say much about that as I have plenty of space to work in landscaped layout.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is the following: Every couple weeks apps would be slow to load. I toggle the wireless off and on in setting. Then thing work normally. The second thing is weight. It is a heavier monitor. The stand is 40lbs. So I took precautions and made supports to the floor and not have weight solely on desk and bend it. It takes 2 people to move. I now in a smaller apartment and still want to keep the move for easy of moving. But I love the flexibility of multitasking on 1 screen. I have have 4 27" windows for my laptop, or on the fly change the windows size on extend screen off my laptop. Other then that a great monitor.

It has extremely brilliant graphics while gaming whether or not on a console, PC, or gaming directly from the monitor. Yes, game directly on the monitor from the cloud with Xbox game pass. I bought this product August 6th and have been using it since the 18th and so far I like it very much. Also easy to set up, just follow the instructions and you will realize that it's very simple. The graphic and volume is great and you can install many apps. This monitor can basically be used as a Smart TV and more. Of course I bought it when it was on sale. Lol. Very good call on making the remote USB C and solar chargeable. I will definitely say that I am happy with my purchase. 😊

I was extremely hoping they would come in an update, because multiple external inputs is pretty crucial, however, it was just my assumption that they would add them with a software update, they didn't they made a Gen 2. Outside of that, this monitor is amazing. Great picture quality, great refresh rate. If you're looking at game streaming, it does that built in. And just all around it functions great. Again, the only thing it is missing is multiple external inputs, so you want that make sure you buy Gen 2. You'll also want to make sure your desk supports it. It's heavy, much of the weight being the stand. The stand is pretty great though, providing a range of height adjustment with minimal effort to bring it up and down.

From the split screen for game play to the horizontal mode that is great for social media or financial charts this monitor allows so many options. I use it as a pc monitor which is the best for multiple windows open without losing space for emails, charts, pictures, videos, etc. The frame rate is great which gives a crisp clear picture no matter what mode you are in. The separate remote with wheel makes transitioning from one mode to the next seamless. I can't speak highly enough on how more efficient I am working with this monitor not to mention the fun I have gaming and/or watching video content. Yes, you heard that correct! This monitor is great but key features do not work yet. Even though it labels itself as a dolby atmos pc monitor, if you enable "Dolby Atmos for Home Theater" in Windows there is no sound. (I only have an nvidia gpu so its the only method I can test with). eARC does not truly passthrough, as even 11.4.2 sound systems only appear as 5.1 speakers. No multi-source split view which is strange on a monitor/tv this size. Why would you not allow picture in picture or picture by picture.

My experience was great overall. At first there were issues but the Samsung team immediately rectified the problem. In 2024 I purchased the 2nd generation. It became a game changer. I have bought monitor side by side with incredible productivity. I would recommend this product. I hope a 3rd one does not release anytime soon. My wife will not allow it. Lol

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Odyssey 49" curved monitor, and while it was great, it certainly had its shortcomings. Mainly only being able to snap 2 windows into view at a time without third party apps. The Ark is nuts, 4 windows open at a time, all measuring 27" is amazing. I own a mortgage company, so being able to see incoming emails, review loan documents, update loan files, and verify property information simultaneously makes my life much easier. I haven't used it for gaming yet, but I will!

This think is cool on paper and in videos you see online and when it is working it is actually nice. But it has performance issues and horrible support. It is not worth the money when the known issues are still a problem. While using the device it will black out regardless of the options you choose. The software is bad and delayed most of the time. Support is not helpful. I had to explain to the "support" it is one device with a separate box not multiple monitors. It is a shame.

the display is awesome, looks great. but only being able to have 1 active input for the multiview make this useless for me unfortunately. the other odyssey monitors can display multiple inputs at once in varoius pip, side by side, etc modes, but it's strange that isn't allowed here. the portrait mode would've been perfect if 3 hdmi inputs could be used, but you can only ever use 1 hdmi, all the rest of the 'views' are internal apps or screen sharing. makes no sense. :(

That is just a little setback, but now I don't even notice. This monitor helps me space out and organize with multiple screens. I can connect both my work and personal computer and keep things separate on one screen. I await to see what software updates come out to expand this great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the monitor, the dual input is great, being able to multitask works really well. the auto switching inputs can be kind of annoying as it doesn't work as well on PC as it does with devices with CEC. Do appreciate the KVM and ability to manage all the cables away from the screen. The screen itself is great, resolution and picture quality are really good and the rotate feature is awesome and easy to use. the monitor does weigh a ton though, so be prepared for that.

I really just wanted another 43" 16:9 curved TV and I don't like the ultra widescreen offerings. It's a beautiful picture, great curve to give an immersive experience. I actually had a bit of motion sickness the first time I played Call of Duty on it, but that went away quickly. I'm seeing detail that I've never seen before. Don't let Xbox help configure HDR, it will make the picture too washed out. I use the monitor to play Xbox and watch TV. I would really like to use it for my computer too, but they still haven't fixed Multiview so I can use multiple HDMI inputs at the same time, so I'm stuck using one HDMI input and the built in Apps via Multiview. Not sure why they don't offer a fix for it, they have it working on some of their other monitors.

It's great for 4k gaming thanks to its high resolution, and it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so you can play games at high refresh rates. However, because it doesn't have a DisplayPort input, your graphics card must support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth to use the monitor fully. Other than that, it has low input lag for a responsive feel and a quick response time at high refresh rates, but there's more smearing at lower refresh rates

Work: I have the ability to open up several tabs and simultaneously process information. It's easy to read text on and is easily customizable for your work needs. Gaming: all my games look absolutely beautiful. The 165hz refresh rate is top notch 👌 there's noting in this size that can compare. I was afraid that it would he to big and cause motion sickness but it doesn't. In FPS games I can litterally see everything espically at distances. For all other games the 165hz really shines in 4K espically in games like horizon zero dawn, cyber punk 2077 and starfield. The only thing I would change is I wish the blacks would be true black instead of dimmed Mini LEDS but regardless it still looks amazing.

What is not talked about is the effect 55 inches can have on office productivity. This monitor is fantastic for the home office. Documents are easy to read and there is zero eye strain. There is so much space that as many windows as needed can be opened and positioned as desired. Makes a long work day much easier. The only drawback is that it is so large it can dominate the room.

There are so many flaws with this monitor. This is one of the regrets I have about purchasing this craptacular monitor. 1) You can NOT use more than one HDMI port when using multiple views on the monitor. You can only use the app if you use multiple views (which defeats the purpose of the multiview feature. flickering on the monitor is unbearable, and brightness on the monitor is subpar at best. This is my biggest waste of money. Stay away from this.

First, at this time, the following can be used in a Multi View Window: § Sources : HDMI (1), Screen Mirroring (Android, Airplay, NotePC) § Apps : YouTube, YouTube TV, Web browser, TV Plus, Melon, Barre3, SmartThings Cam, USB Cam Samsung is continually working with Content Providers and Application Developers to expand the list of compatible applications. The Ark’s One connect box is designed with four (4) HDMI 2.1 ports to give ultimate connectivity to devices with HDMI outputs which include, but are not limited to, PCs and Macs, Gaming Consoles, Media Players and Streaming Sticks, cable or Satellite boxes, legacy DVD Players and more. While up to 4 inputs can be connected simultaneously for cable management, only 1 HDMI Input can be displayed on the Ark display at a time, whether in full-screen or in Multi View mode. We’ve received feedback that it would be desirable to be able to use multiple HDMI inputs simultaneously, and we’re exploring this as a future feature on this or other Odyssey Gaming Monitors. Absolutely stunning design with a crazy refresh rate. This thing has NO PROBLEM keeping up with my heavy gaming usage. I've had this monitor since it came out and I agree with everything else that's been written in terms of missing functionality. It's painfully clear that Samsung either made no effort to, or ignored, any feedback from early testers of the product. Pretty much everyone here with a comment brings up the simultaneous multi-HDMI issue so it's easy to think that any focus groups or beta testers of this hardware before it was released passed along the same comments which Samsung promptly ignored. Oh, and many months in since product release, no driver updates (hi Windows 11) and no firmware updates. In typical Samsung fashion I doubt we will see much if any updates on this. I'm not sure if they feel their product is perfect out the door and don't bother or if they simply abandon all their new products once released but this is typical behavior.

Been a Samsung user for a long time and owning a lot of Samsung products. This is the worst product I have ever seen. The HDR is totally broken with Game Mode ON (Game Mode ON is required to run under 165hz). Yes, this product WILL NOT run in 165hz and HDR at the same time. It seems that the DECEMBER firmware broke it. HOWEVER, after 6 months, Samsung still has NOT posted a single fix on this. TERRIBLE. I will be returning mine.

There's so much real estate available you won't have to minimize or miss out. Gaming: these days are mostly RTS. Anno 1800, for example, looks gorgeous on this size screen. This is where the immersion comes in. 47"x44" is a wonderful size to fill one's field of view. I can't get enough of this monitor.

I have very little eye fatigue from this monitor. I do wish you could split the screens with different hdmi ports and that’s the only thing I don’t like about this monitor. So far, I'm very happy with this monster. I don't play FPS, but what I do play; ONI, Factorio, Enshrouded, Grounded. They all are so fun to play on this thing. I did have to play with some settings but it's at a good spot now. I do like to split screen; Youtube plays on the monitor (sound) and I use my PC speakers for the games. Monitor sound isn't amazing but it's good for a monitor. So far, it's been a great experience. 😁

I have been using mine for about a year now and am very pleased. I use it for CAD, mostly 3d, Autodesk Inventor. My business partner took one look and ordered one for himself. I am considering getting another on for my home office. It interfaces well with an additional 32" flat, side monitor. AutoCAD, for some reason doesn't seem to like it. It runs fine I just get a warning to reset display limits on startup. I had no issues with Autodesk 3D software. I do have some minor complaints 1- on its stand it was to high above my desk and I had to build a stand slightly lower than my desk top to get it at a comfortable elevation. 2- It asks too many questions! I wish that I could simply set it up and let it run (no, I don't want to connect to that Bluetooth device) 3- I don't need two remote control devices, the dial thing just went into the trash as a desk hog.

The graphics are so high quality that he feels immersed in the games he plays. I love how easy it was to set up and how stable it feels on the desk even for the size. I also love that I can cast to it like a television. Definitely a splurge item, but we'll worth it for this gaming family.
