Electrocardiogram at your fingertips. Available only with a compatible Galaxy smartphone with Android 7 or above.

About ECG
Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that records electrical activity of the heart. It helps physicians look for potential abnormalities in heart rhythm.

Record ECG with your Galaxy Watch³
Use your Samsung Health Monitor App to record ECG¹ for informational purposes similar to standard Lead I ECG.² ECG is one of the most widely used measurements to monitor heart health.
Check your
heart rhythm
The Galaxy Watch App checks the recorded ECG* for the presence of Atrial Fibrillation, one of the most common forms of irregular heart rhythms.¹

Store and share
your ECG reports
Available on compatible Samsung phones, the Samsung Health Monitor app stores all your recorded ECGs. It also enables you to share your ECG Report with your health care provider.

Understanding Possible Results
Sinus Rhythm: This result indicates that your heart is beating in normal rhythm with a heart rate between 50 – 100 beats per minute (BPM).⁵
Atrial Fibrillation: This result indicates that your heart was beating with an irregular rhythm. If you get this result, you should follow up with your doctor.
Inconclusive: This result indicates that your heart was beating in a rhythm that could not be classified. If you get this result repeatedly, you should see a doctor. You can get an inconclusive result if –
• Your heart rhythm was Atrial Fibrillation but heart rate was less than 50 BPM or greater than 120 BPM.
• Your heart rhythm was neither Sinus Rhythm nor Atrial Fibrillation.
• Your heart rate was less than 50 BPM or greater than 100 BPM and rhythm was not Atrial Fibrillation.⁶
Poor Recording: This result indicates the ECG recording could not be analyzed. This usually happens if there is noise in the ECG recording which may occur due to motion during the recording or if the watch did not have enough skin contact with your wrist or finger.
4. Share your stored ECG reports from your Galaxy device

After you take an ECG, the data is synced to the Galaxy phone only after Bluetooth pairing. A PDF report can then be created from your phone.
1) Open the Samsung Health Monitor app on your Galaxy phone.
