Tons of progress
As of 2024, Samsung has reused over 768,811 tons of recycled plastics globally in products, blowing past our goal of 500,000 tons by 2030.¹

We’re committed to our goal of eliminating all plastics in mobile packaging and incorporating recycled material in all new mobile products by 2025.
From boxes to manuals
The boxes and manuals of our mobile, TV and appliances include recycled and/or sustainably sourced materials. Galaxy S25 packaging uses 100% recycled paper.
Recognized by the EPA
We have won 14 Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) awards since the program began in 2014 for our products and recycling operations.
Using more recycled materials in our products every year
Our goal is to use 50% recycled materials in plastic parts of our products by 2030, and 100% (by weight) by 2050.
In 2024, we used 201,755 tons of recycled plastic in select products, about 1.3× more than in 2023.

A noticeable shift
We introduced ocean-bound recycled plastics into our home electronics and launched the Circular Economy Lab to accelerate new material development.

Made with recycled plastics, copper, and rare earth elements, plus 100% recycled paper packaging.
TV and home appliances
Our packaging uses 10% recycled EPS and no metal staples for easier recycling, with boxes redesigned to be upcycled into pet supplies or household items.
