Manage Network Settings on Connect Home

Your friends come over and they are asking for your Wi-Fi information. Of course you forgot the network password, AGAIN. With Samsung Connect Home, you can instantly view all your network information, including the network name and password. Simply access the network settings and voila! Problem solved!

Network Settings

Follow the steps below to view and manage your network settings.

  1. Launch Samsung Connect on your phone.

  2. Touch My devices.

  3. Touch the network name of your Wi-Fi Hub.

  4. Touch More options.

  5. Touch Network settings.

  6. You can view detailed information about your network. When your friends ask for the network information, simply give them the information on this page.

  7. Swipe up to view more of the NETWORK SETTINGS options. The available options are:

    • Internet connection: touch IPv4 to change the IP type or touch DNS to change the DNS server.

    • Direct connections: touch UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) to allow the devices on your network to connect to other devices on the Internet.

    • Advanced: To change your network mode, touch Standalone or Bridge. Standalone mode is a private network accessible only to the devices connected within an organization. Bridge mode allows users to relay the network connection to other devices.
