I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Rugged Case expecting it to provide a strong grip and protection, but unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. The website advertises “grooved grips,” which made me think the case would have a textured surface that prevents slipping. In reality, the case is extremely slippery and does not provide any noticeable grip at all. It actually feels less secure in hand than some regular cases. I contacted customer care to clarify this, but the response was not helpful. They mentioned that the “grooved grip” refers to the material itself rather than an actual textured grip. This explanation was confusing and didn’t address the issue that the case simply doesn’t provide the grip that was advertised. For a product marketed as a rugged case, I expected better usability and support. Unfortunately, due to the slippery design and the lack of helpful response from customer service, I would not recommend spending money on this case. There are definitely better alternatives available.

Bought this with my pre order, this is worse than a $10 case from a servo. No grip at all, it just slides out of your hand and the sides easily move away from the screen. I cannot stress enough this is not the heavy duty case they advertise it as, its thin rubber. If this was priced at $15 it might be an okay case.

I bought a Galaxy S26 ultra with the rugged case which I agree with all others is slippery and doesn't provide any protection. It is just adding some material to the phone, which is expensive but doesn't make sense. Customer care insists that the case should be sealed to accept returns. Why would I order a case if I dn open it to see how it is? I should have read the reviews than I would have maybe not opened the sealed package. I ask myself also why a case needs a registration number and a sealed box. There is only one explanation that makes sense. To force the sales by not accepting returns of unsealed boxes. If the Australian laws and rules don't protect of such predatory business practices I will have to rethink my position towards Samsung. I have owned only Samsung phones from Galaxy S2 up to Galaxy S26. I believe that Samsung starts to loose interest in serving their customers. Please invest yoi money in a case that does what a case should do, protect the phone from damages. This one doesn't do the job. It's a waste of money.

I should have read the reviews before buying and regret getting ripped off. This has the value of a 20 cent plastic case from Temu. This is not rugged at all. It is very slippery and offers minimal protection for your phone. The plastic is very thin and there is no rubber support inside the case.
