Purchased an A13 as a replacement for my trusty old S7. Disappointed to find the A13 doesn't support NFC, whereas the old S7 did. Tap & Pay was a fast and very convenient means of paying for everyday purchases by card. But now I have a new phone and I have to revert to the old method of making payments. I assumed a new phone would have new features, not discontinue previous features. I'm now wishing I'd repaired the S7 rather than purchase the A13, having been told it would be at least as good as the S7. Otherwise, the A13 is fine. So yes, I would recommend the A13, but with the warning I unfortunately didn't receive regarding NFC.

The Galaxy A13 is a solid smartphone for someone like me on a high school budget. The phone's large display is great for watching videos and doing schoolwork, and it's vibrant enough to keep my attention. The battery life is super reliable, as it was only 52% after a whole 11 hour trip to Melbourne! without charging it! However, when it comes to photography, it's not exactly mind-blowing. It's decent for snapping pics with friends, but the quality won't make me an Instagram sensation, even though it captures the smallest of details. Overall, the Galaxy A13 fits my student budget and handles my daily tasks, making it a practical choice for a student like myself.

Upgraded from the Samsung 9+. Some pros and cons. I like not having the Bixby feature on this phone as I found that feature a waste of time and space. Was often pressed accidentally and I never used this feature. Taking a screen shot is easier with this model as it doesn't have Bixby so you aren't accidentally pressing the wrong button. Disappointed that I can't add a digital wallet on this model. This means I can't pay digitally with Samsung Pay. I also like having the digital finger print scan on the right hand side of the phone. Previously this feature was on the back of the Samsung 9+. It seems to have some lag when selecting features.

Indeed ... why an A13? I am exceptionally clumsy and careless with mobile phones ... this is the second A13 I have purchased, the previous one perished when it fell 5 metres from my pocket whilst I was up a ladder trimming a tree. No phone would survive that. Other brands of phones I have destroyed by dropping from heights, dropping into water tanks, setting them alight when trying to pull them apart and even running one over when it fell from my pocket under the wheel of my automobile. no phone manufacturer has made a phone tough enough to stand my abuse. However, Samsung make the toughest. The A13 will withstand a great deal of abuse and doesn't cost an-arm-and-a- leg to replace in the event of a fatal mishap. What is the next best attribute is that it is a very versatile and easy to use device standing up to phones that cost three or four times as much. And so when this one finally meets an untimely end Samsung will make another sale because the A13 is a really tough customer. Ric the wrecker (of phones).

This is an average phone which could have many great improvements in its software and its system. I have noticed many drawbacks with this phone. There was so NFC so it was was very inconvenient to pay and the system was lagging and not that smooth. The camera quality wasn't the best and was very dirty. The apparel was ok and the design wasn't that sleek. I would say for 200 this phone wasn't worth the value and money. overall this phone could have done much better but this phone is suitable for kids.

I've had my A13 since September 2022 and it has been one of the best phones I've had, it doesn't have a protective cover on it and I recon that I've dropped it onto concrete at least 50 times and it doesn't even have a scratch on the glass face or any other type of crack chip or otherwise and still works just like the day I bought it, battery life is awesome can't believe how long it stays charge and I use it alot, all the functions it has and I don't use half of them. Well done SAMSUNG keep up the excellent work building these magnificent phones. Cheers have a drink on me.

I recently purchased my A13 to replace an older phone which had intermittent faults. I only need a low cost, reliable phone for basic uses. The A13 was very good value and easy to customise and download apps and data from from a previous Samsung model using Smart Switch. It appears to use very little power.

I have been buying the cheapest Samsung phones for the last 15 odd years. All of them have died in the same way - salt water corrosion, either from a permanent dunking or just time spent on the sea. How can I give it 5 stars? Simple, until their untimely death they performed faultlessly. They are great for watching movies, playing music, listing to audio books, accessing the internet, and dare i say it, making phone calls! Why on earth, or on water, should I spend bucket loads of money, when this phone will eventually join its predecessors in Davy Jone's locker!

I was very careful in selecting my A13. I am so pleased with my Galaxy. At my age (yes, 81) I needed to be able to understand clearly, easily and USE my new phone to maximum advantage. My Galaxy is unbelievably honest. Call me a delighted user.

So I saw Samsung were having a sale and dropped the prices on their phones, I already had a Samsung tablet so I paired it with the A13. It's a fantastic pairing all features work exceptionally well.The A13 features fantastic cameras and video . My shots have never been so good. The multi layered security features are very good. On time of phone battery life is as good as the much higher priced phones. Most of all I like the Samsung after sales care. Believe me if you need a good quality phone at a great price, then the Samsung A13 is very hard to pass up.

Samsung is a great brand and I love the features and simplicity. I have found the only downside to a Samsung phone is they don't last as long as the IPhone. I prefer Samsung over IPhone but I have had to replace 2 Samsung phones due to them just dying within about 12 to 18mths and my 10yr old IPhone is still going strong. If Samsung could make their devices longer lasting I believe they would leave IPhone for dead.

I paid $327 on special for this phone from Officeworks, only to find Coles offering it two weeks later for $299, and now, four weeks later for $199, and the 5G version for $299. I don't know whether the problem is the phone or Telstra, but I have had issues with texts from friends not being received and texts I have tried to send not being sent despite following the instruction to tap to resend, and subsequent texts being merged with previously sent ones. I got a notification that a text had ben received at 4,30am, but it was blank, until I tried to send a text asking about it at 7.25 and it magically appeared. The photo editing options are nowhere near as good as on my old Galaxy Ace3, especially cropping which doesn't allows for varying the height and width of the selected area independently. that's a real pity given the vastly better cameras on the A13. Otherwise it is a better phone all round!

Being a customer of Optus for a long period of time I was fortunate enough to receive a Galaxy A13 at an unbelievably low price. I bought A13 as a gift for my wife on mother's day and she was so happy to find out that it's not too pricy and the features are much better than her older A5 phone. We bought unpacked it and was amazed about the style and the camera. We just hope that this will last longer than her A5 phone.

After 3 months with my A13, used to assist my high levels of organisation n activity, im very satisfied. Despite being dropped while running, the screen is unblemished, n no problems at all. Lacking NFC contact less payment feature, and takes a long time to restart, but happy.

I purchased this after my S20FE was run over by a tram and still being on a contract I did not want to spend too much on a replacement. I have been quietly surprised by the phone and apart from not having NFC (which I didn't realise at purchase), the phone has everything that i need. I haven't tried out the camera too much but it seems fine and overall, if you want a good phone that doesn't break the bank, this is the one for you.

Bought this ph as a cheap alternative,as smashed my s20. Is quite a good phone, however no nfc is going to annoy me. Camera isnt that good. Although am comapring to the S20 so what does one expect. Guess will have to upgrade sooner rather than later.

For a low budget Android OS phone, do not look past the A13. It has everything you need for a daily phone. I use it for work and it has the necessary capabilities. Battery life is great also if you make alot of calls which I do.

I decided it was time to upgrade our 5+ year old Samsung phones So I purchased two A13s for my wife and I thought we were upgrading, but after opening both boxes and cloning, I realized that the A13S UPGRADE, did not have NFC. The Job hifi salesman did not advise me or ask. They would not exchange or credit me. Why would Samsung market an 'upgraded' model with fewer features? I will no get sucked in to buying Samsung again

Its a good phone for the price. The battery is decent It lasts 2 days with heavy use (streaming, txt, calling and playing music). The camera is good, it has some decent effects the picture quality is good. I don't find the phone too chunky it fits in my pocket and is slim unlike some of the other phones I've had. On the downside there's no nfc so that means no ability for Google pay which can be inconvenient. For the price point im definitely happy.

After using Samsung A13 for a week, I missed a couple of features from my previous Samsung phone. NFC is not available for Australia model. Always On Show option is not available so I need to tap the phone constantly to check on miss call or messages. I bought the phone because my previous Samsung S7 Edge got so hot and shut itself last week. I had to urgently get a replacement phone in order for the technician at the shop to retain my old data.

Its a pretty good phone. Have used it for over 2 years now, but there is definitely better phones to buy. Biggist issue for me is no NFC. The battery is pretty good, it performs decently, the screen is very good and has enough storage for a long time. However the camera could be much better. The camera and lack of NFC bring it down a lot as they are kinda standard in 2025. It also has a headphone jack which is amazing because I hate wireless.

Purchased the A13 within days of arriving in Blenheim from Australia. The phone and the plan we are on has been fantastic. The phone has done all we have asked of it, making and answering calls, connecting to the internet and using it as a mobile hotspot to connect with our other Samsung products. Downloading and using Apps have also worked well. e would recommend this phone to anyone.

The phone was purchased in November 2022 and met it's demise two months later .Some detective work found that the Galaxy A13 I had in my possession had alcohol accidently spilt on it rendering it inoperable .Optus would not replace said phone and as it was on a plan I was left out of pocket $320 . All in all a good phone , however no NFC was disappointing .

Very affordable, great battery life, does the job for a cheap mobile phone, but note that the small LED notification light has been removed - and sorely missed! Sound quality is low. I also find the touchscreen very sensitive - sometimes interprets tapping as swiping. Not sure if you can change that in the settings.

Last week bought this phone from Vodaphone,having discarded old Huwei.Am almost 80,but found the phone simple to understand with a great selection of apps,including games etc for grandkids.Big,clear screen,rapid response,holds charge for 3 days,and looks just as sophistocated as much dearer phones.VERY impressed!

I had to purchase the A13 because my A12 would no longer accept my password!!! I did not wish to have the A12 "factory reset" which would erase all the data including all the photos taken on a recent coastal cruise. It's not rocket science but a real pity that a good phone is comprimised by corporate policy!

Being 75 years of age anything technical is a big ask for me however I just love this phone, the large screen, the font size I can change, storing my emails and so much more my confidence is gaining every day the only thing missing is that I can't use a qscan through the camera however I am very happy

Have had the A13 for a few days now and I love it! Have been a Samsung user now for well over 10 years and its my go to. This phone has all that I need, and hasn't strayed from previous models. The phone falls well within my budget so is very affordable while having all the features of an android.

I got this phone recently after using Apple for years, it's a good phone with good quality resolution and a good camera. On the other hand, who makes a phone that can't use tap and go payment? Would have given 5 stars but for that reason, very frustrating to have to carry a card again.

Bought this to replace my A12 that had an incredibly cracked screen, and have been very happy with the quality of the screen of this phone. Have still dropped it probably about the same frequency but the screen has stayed firmly intact so far, thankfully.

Great phone apartment from no Nfc. Overseas models have Nfc but not AU models? Perhaps a software upgrade from Samsung could fix this? Other wise the A13 4g has all the basic user features and functionality you would expect from a modern phone.

Good phone. Would be better with wireless charger. Also would be better with ability to screenshot and screen record with a button on screen rather than hitting the buttons on side of phone to screenshot or download apps to do such things.

Got the A13 to replace my beaten up S7. It was extremely cheap at $248. Like that. Was a very easy changeover. For me improvements all round with size, capacity, quality. I particularly like the removable microSD too.

Great phone at a good price point. Runs fast and smooth and connects to other devices reliably and quickly, good battery life. The only down side is the camera, i expected better but thats really the only negative.

Great phone my son loves it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is no NFC so no contactless payment which is a pain (didn't know before we bought we assumed it did as cheaper phones automatically come with it)

Haven't had the A13 long, so still getting used to it as i switched from Iphone, but definitley liking it! I like the smart switch function as it made it so easy to transfer all my photos/ contacts etc.

A13 is better in every way. I liked the S7, but the A13 has it well covered. Longer battery life, bigger screen, excellent finger print sensor, sharp photo quality and more. This was a good choice for me.

Bought as upgrade to Samsung A20. Needed more room for apps. Tried to load my credit/debit cards but unit does not have the required NFC capability. For a mid range phone this is totally unacceptable.
