Your phone or watch can be your best workout partner thanks to Samsung Health, an app that lets you track your exercise and eating habits.
Samsung Health can record and manage your activities and sleep patterns so you can create healthy habits, you can monitor exercises, as well as record and manage your diet information and health conditions such as heart rate and stress. This is only a short list of the features available on Samsung Health with compatible devices.

Monitoring Exercises with Samsung Health
With Samsung Health you have several features to give you total control over your fitness using your smartphone, watch or both.
You can record and check your activity through your Galaxy Watch and smartphone. Tap the exercise widget on your watch or start an exercise from the exercise tracker on your smartphone and get moving. Even if you forget to start recording exercises for walking, running and biking, your smartphone automatically records your activity from 10 minutes on.
If you do not want your workout to start automatically, you can change it with the method below.
On your Phone:
Go to Samsung Health > Run/Bicycle/Walk Tracker to enter. Then tap the more icon and finally tap “Auto Pause Settings”. Select whether to activate the function for each item.
On your Watch:
Open Samsung Health and go to settings. Turn off “Automatic exercise detection” to deactivate the function.
Monitoring your Sleep with Samsung Health
Samsung Health has several features to monitor different aspects of your health, even when you are sleeping. Find out more about the Sleep monitoring feature from Samsung Health in Galaxy watches. Please note that available features can vary between devices and watch models.
Samsung Health uses the Galaxy Watch to monitor your sleep patterns, track any sleep movements, and see how they line up with your sleep score. In addition, Samsung Health can provide you with daily goals and coaching programs based on sleep data to help you form better sleep habits.
Samsung Health can measuring the following when monitoring sleep:
Sleep Score Samsung Health reports how well you are sleeping by measuring the duration of each sleep phase and your movements while asleep. Your recorded sleep score can be compared to the scores of users in the same age and gender groups.
Oxygen Saturation Samsung Health continuously measures blood oxygenation levels, even during sleep, to check your health.
Snoring Detection Samsung Health's snoring detection feature records and alerts you to the sounds you make while you sleep. Find out if you have been snoring, how long and how often.
How to Check and Update your version of Samsung Health
There are two ways to check your version of Samsung Health:

Restoring or Backing Up Data on Samsung Health
When using Samsung Health, keeping your health data up to date is the key to getting the best results possible. This is why Samsung Health allows you to make and restore a backup copy of your data.
If you want to backup or restore data, you must meet these conditions:
- You must have a network connection.
- You must be logged into your Samsung account with your health data synced to the account.

How Does Samsung Health Protect Your Data?
Samsung Health is a health/exercise application that stores your health data on your smartphone. Samsung Health protects your data through encryption, and Knox security strengthens that protection in the following ways:
- Application of Knox TIMA KeyStore: A high level of security is provided even in a rooted smartphone by utilising an encryption key from a hardware-backed credential storage provider.
- Samsung Health, with enhanced security provided by Knox, detects malicious software, rooted binaries or unauthorised changes to the device, and in these cases, Samsung Health cannot be used.
