Raising a SmartThings App Error Report

If you ever encounter any difficulties when connecting to or using the SmartThings App, you can submit an error report through the app. This error report will send us system logs of the app and allow us to help you investigate and solve the issue.

Please follow the guide below for steps on raising a SmartThings App error report.

NOTE: The SmartThings App is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. Data fees may apply.

1. Open the SmartThings App and tap on 'Menu'.

2. Select 'Contact us'.

3. Tap on 'Error reports'.

4. Select the device/s you are wanting to send an error report for. Then, press 'Continue'.

5. Tap on 'Frequency'.

6. Select the frequency of your error.

7. Add a description of your issue. Make sure to provide as much detail as possible.

8. Make sure you have ticked 'Send system log data'.

9. Add attachments to provide a better visualisation of the pro.

10. Once you have entered all of the details, press the send button in the top right corner.

11. Once the error report has been sent, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen. This will also open the Members app. Please keep this open until the Members notification disappears.
