How do I determine the system type (32 bit or 64 bit) of my PC/notebook?

To determine whether your Windows notebook is running a 32-bit or a 64-bit operating system, please follow the steps outlined below:

1 Click the Start icon on the bottom-left of your computer screen.
2 On the options presented select Control Panel.
3 If you are viewing by category then click System and Security > System.
4 On System type you can see if your notebook is running a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
