Using Link to Windows

Link to Windows is an application that interworks with your compatible Samsung phone and PC through your Microsoft account. You can instantly access to data saved in your device, such as photos and messages, on your computer by using the same Microsoft account on your computer as your device.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy phones. If you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung Subsidiary. This service is only available on the Galaxy Z Flip, A51, A71, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, A90 5G, S10e, S10/10+, S10 5G, Note10/10+ , Note 10+ 5G, Galaxy Fold and Windows 10 version 1803 or higher.

Setting up Link to WindowsClick to Expand
1 Head into your Settings > Advanced Features
Select Advanced Features
2 Select Link to Windows
Select Link to Windows
3 If you have already signed into your Outlook/Microsoft Account tap on Continue. If you haven't proceed with the on-screen instructions to sucessfully sign into your account.
Tap on Continue
4 Allow the popup permissions

5 You will then need to continue setting up your PC.
Proceed to link PC
6 On your PC, click on windows start icon and launch Your Phone

If you do not have Your Phone already downloaded to your PC, you can easily install it from the Microsoft Store.

7 Click on Android the select Continue
Select Android then click on Continue
8 Proceed to sign into your Microsoft/ Outlook Account
Sign into your Microsoft/ Outlook account

Please Note: Ensure you have signed into the same account that has been signed into your Galaxy Phone.

9 Read through the popup message then click on Next
Click Next
10 On your Galaxy phone tap on Allow to link to your PC
Allow Connection
11 Once you have successfully linked your PC and Galaxy Phone, you will be able to use Link to Windows

Please Note: You will require an internet connection in order to view notifications on your PC.

1 Click on Notifications > Get started
Click on Notifications > Get Started
2 You will then be able to view any new notifications from your PC
Click on Notifications > Open Settings for me
MessagesClick to Expand

Please Note: You will require an internet connection to see message notifications of your phone & reply to phone messages (including MMS) on your PC.

1 Click on Messages > See Texts
Click on Messages > Get Started
2 Click on + New message
Click on New Message
3 Search for a contact you would like to message then click on Send a message to begin typing up your text message.
Search for a contact to message then tap on Send message
4 If you would like to send an emoji, GIF or a photo saved with in your Gallery click on emoji icon GIF icon Gallery icon

5 Once you are ready to send off your text message click on Send Message icon
When you ae ready to send off your Text Message then click on the send button

Please Note: When transferring photos from your compatible Galaxy phone to PC, you will only be able to check up to 2000 recent photos and screenshots  in Gallery on your PC, you will also require an internet connection on both devices.

1 Click on Photos and allow your screenshots and photos to load on your PC.
Select Photos
2 Once loaded your photos have loaded, you will be able to double click the photos to enlarge or drag and drop them to your desktop.

Please Note: In order to use this setting, your PC and compatible Galaxy device will be required to use the same Wi-Fi network.

1 Click Phone Screen > Get started
Click on Phone screen then select Get Started
2 You will need to Allow permissions on your connected phone
Tap on Start now
3 Once loaded, you will be able to control your device from your PC.

CallsClick to Expand
1 Click on Calls then follow the on-screen instructions on your PC. You will need to switch to your mobile device to allow permissions before you are able to make Calls
Click on Calls
2 Allow the Blutooth Pairing request on your connected Galaxy phone

3 Allow the Blutooth Pairing request on your PC
Allow Bluetooth connection on PC
4 Search for a contact you would like to call then tap on call icon to start calling
search for a cpntact to call then tap on green call icon
5 To end a call simply tap on red end call icon
To end call tap on red hang up button
