Connect your Soundbar to the SmartThings App
Add your compatible Samsung soundbar to the SmartThings app and control it with a touch of a button. You can use your phone to turn the soundbar on and off, as well as adjust the volume and change the sound mode.
Note:
- To see if your Samsung soundbar is compatible with SmartThings, head to Compatible Devices.
- To use SmartThings, download the app from the Galaxy Store, Play Store, or App Store. The app requires Android OS 9↑ with a minimum of 3GB RAM space or iOS 14↑.
- All devices should be connected to Wi-Fi or other wireless network, and registered with a single Samsung Account.
- Internet connection or data required. Data usage fees may apply.
- Features and settings may be different depending on the model of your soundbar.
Watch the video above or follow the steps below to connect your compatible Soundbar to the SmartThings app and you have first downloaded the app on your app's Play Store/App Store.
1. Open the SmartThings App
2. Press the ‘+’ button on the top right
3. Select Add device
4. Choose Add under Samsung devices
5. Select Soundbar
6. Ensure your soundbar is on. Once it appears on-screen, select it
7. You may be prompted to scan the QR code located on your soundbar or to press its Volume Down button
8. Your soundbar is now connected to the SmartThings app
