I just bought the galaxy A8 tablet and I'm happy, it does everything I need it to do. Download speeds are quick, update speeds are quick. excellent for entertainment purposes and internet browsing, great for internet shopping. Has a child safe mode and settings for kids, also is great for reading, online gaming on the galaxy A8 is good but not as good as the S models. I gave 5 stars because I'm happy with the quality, price and features of the tablet. I only ask that samsung please make the selfi camera and the camera on the back of the A model tablets better on there next release A model Tablets, the camera's they have at the moment are average.

While I am still learning how this tablet operates so far it has performed as I expected it too. Some things on this Samsung tablet are different from the other one I have which is a previous model. I have streamed sports done emails and used it generally reading news bulletins etc. It's weight is similar to my older one but it is a lot thinner. The buttons you use to turn it on seem to hesitate before it actually switches on but that is the same with the other one so I don't know if it is a thing with Samsung tablets or not. Overall I am happy with the tablet and it works well updating apps and itself regularly so far which is good.

This tablet is the slowest Samsung tablet I have ever owned it is absolutely useless, can't even play a 360p video on YouTube without buffering 24/7 and I have good internet so it is not my internet. It even struggles to play a 144p video on YouTube!!!!!! I am not even kidding either. Absolute rubbish and even takes long at times to load Spotify, its just such a party device it's not funny. Also like others have mentioned the lowest brightness is still bright on this device haha like can't even do that right. Worst money I have ever spent, I am considering going back to my Tab A 10.5 2018 at least that had Snapdragon and didn't take 10 hours to fully charge. Only good thing with this tablet is it's 64 GB as opposed to 32 GB.

I actually quite like this tablet. Samsung has done a pretty good job making the OS feel good on a larger screen. There are problems though, mainly hardware, that drag this tablet down and therefore make it a purchase I cannot recommend. - The tablet is surprisingly heavy. If you hold up your tablet while lying in bed, this tablet isn’t for you. - The bezels are actually too thin meaning trying to use the tablet is difficult because accidental presses are frequent and incredibly annoying. - The placement of the on/off button is difficult to get used to and when trying to adjust the volume, you’ll often accidentally turn the screen off (or on). - The screen is too bright on its lowest setting (even with the night filter switched on). Of course this isn’t an issue during the day but as I have alluded to, many people will likely use this tablet in bed, probably before going to sleep and a highly bright screen is not a welcome feature. - There’s way too much bloatware with double apps for almost everything. There’s also apps you probably don’t want like Facebook or Outlook and of course you can’t uninstall a lot if these (though you can hide them — this doesn't free up system space or resources though). Also, while not Samsung’s fault, most apps aren’t designed for larger screens on Android. These may seem like small problems but you try using this tablet as a daily companion like my much-loved iPad and these things will quickly grate. Samsung needs to spend more time and care developing its products.

Bought this as a replacement for a 3-year-old Android tablet and am mostly very happy with it. Excellent display, fully compatible with latest versions of all apps, very fast. Unusual that default orientation is landscape so camera is in middle of the long side, but that's not a problem. Two concerns worth noting are that it is quite heavy (noticeable when reading a book on the tablet) and the screen scratches easily (had to invest in a glass screen protector after spotting a big scratch 3 weeks after purchase - previous tablet had no protector, never got scratched).

After purchasing cheaper tablets and not having any luck I got these for my kids and they have been absolutely amazing fast no lag does all the games and internet as well as movies everything my kids want and more strong reliable

I purchased 2 weeks ago. I got this predominantly for reading and accessing my uni website. I downloaded kindle and am now on my 9th book in 2 weeks! The battery is fantastic and lasts really well, the screen is a good size for reading, browsing, games etc. Sound is great for watching movies on the go. Cannot fault this tablet at all! I am keen to start uni next month and be able to access textbooks, take notes etc on this rather than lugging a laptop around with me!

I bought 3 tablet on February 2022, all are not working properly. It is freeze and stop working with no reason very often. On 24 of June 2022, one was completely stop working. I brought it to the store, they can fix, can't replace and the next day they emailed me tablet already fix, it stop working due to software problem. My concern is lucky it still on warranty, what if it out of warranty and the issue keep happening? also lucky not buy the expensive one.

Bought for mum. She absolutely loves it. Premium look and feel. Great functionality for the value. Perfect if you want to stream movies and music, use YouTube, play games, read, or stay organized. Games and apps can take a bit longer to load but run just fine. Camera isn't too notch by any means but it's good enough for a quick capture. The viewing angles aren't great on the display but the screen looks nice nevertheless.

My Tab A8 was a decent tablet for the price but it stopped charging and Samsung simply refused to honour the warranty despite their own staff confirming the issue on two separate occasions at a Samsung store. VERY shocking customer service.....

Advice to all hearing impaired people: the series A tablets samsung galaxy DO not have the live caption option included in the hearing enhancements from settings, unlike the series S, which are more expensive. This is awful and discriminatory.

Good tablet for multimedia use and bit of light gaming, the heaviest game I played was Pubg mobile and ran pretty well. But I mostly use this tablet for Microsoft office apps and watch YouTube or Netflix and it's working great so far. It's not too big so that's a big plus for me

This tablet is a great replacement for my previous Samsung tablet. It does pretty much everything I want. Except, as another reviewer pointed out, it's not much good as a nighttime clock. The backlight is too bright for that application. Apart from that, happy with the device.

Upgraded from my old Tab A and this is a great improvement in display and speed. The negative is that the only sound control is Dolby on or off. I stream a lot of music and a good bass is important to me. Samsung support tried to help me remotely but no success.

My 13 year old is so happy with the new features for the Tab A8! Some apps would not previously allow her to view with the tablet horizontal where it now does. One of the many upgraded features. Extremely pleased.

Bought for my husband while in hospital. Mostly used for streaming Kayo and netflix, it streams perfectly, no lag and only had to charge every second day. Havent had an opportunity to test the camera out yet.

The Samsung tablet is a perfect size for my grandchildren (teeneagers) to use. It does everything they need in an easy to use format and it is very fast. I would highly recommend this tablet.
