[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I have several different versions of the portable SSD format and past generation of the P7. I tested this new P7 with Benchmarking and data upload and download speed. I did use a high speed port on my Maingear server that has an NVIDIA 5090 and I9 processor. Overall this generation of the P7 performs roughly 16 second increase over each minute. As we are constantly transferring hours of video footage everyday, this is very important to our work. This saves us 16 minutes per hour in idle time and this is very important. It is overall a little larger but not a game ender. Color is great and it has a large activity light. I prefer the smaller light but not a decision maker for me.
I recommended this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is NOT your average USB drive! The product comes nearly packaged with a certified high-speed cable (lots of others won't provide the same speeds), which I found to be a delightful surprise. I immediately updated firmware with Samsung Magician and played around with speed tests. All results were excellent considering my slightly outdated laptop. The drive never got hot during the tests. Turning on a feature with Magician can increase speeds but REQUIRES you to manually disengage the drive in windows before removing. I chose to turn this feature off after noticing only slightly higher speeds during my tests. Overall, it's a highly impressive external drive that I would absolutely recommend, if speed is a need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung P7 Portable SSD was easy to install into my PC with a simple USB C plugin. I was able to access it easily through my files and could use it right away. This has 1TB of storage and up to 4000 MB/s speed which has made downloading games super easy. I haven’t been limited as to how many games I can download so far and have downloaded multiple games and data after installing this. I like the compact design of this and feel confident in how fast and efficient this has been. This portable SSD has been a great addition to my gaming and homeschool PC.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this drive for securely transferring files to an external site, with security set up through the Samsung Magician software included with the drive. Without a USB4 port on my computer, I don’t get the maximum speed, but the write speed is still an impressive 1725 Mbps—a huge jump from any other external drive I own. The included cable is a must for optimal performance. The drive is incredibly compact, barely noticeable in my pocket so be careful not to lose it, and its read speed is equally impressive at 1989 Mbps, as measured with the basic Samsung Magician on an Alienware ACT1250. I plan to invest in a true USB4 card for my computer to reach top speeds. Highly recommended for anyone looking to speed up data transfers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thus drive is great. Hooking it up to a high speec usb c port on my computer allowed me to backup important documents and pictures with a speed i have not seen before. This drive is lightweight and portable. It doesn't take up much space at all when placing it into a safe. One huge benefit of this as opposed to some older drives is there is no need for an additional power supply. The drive is plug and play. Although with much troubleshooting I could not get the software to work it worked fine as a backup drive for me. I would recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SSD is outstanding and I love it for both home and business. It's read and write speeds of up to 4000 MB/s are so quick, making it easy for me to regularly back up all my files. I mainly use it for editing my multitrack podcast recordings in Audacity and it has no issues managing hour long wav files. I have even used it to run my podcast via a virtual machine and had no lag or data issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed by the lightness and small size of the unit. I'll be going on a cruise next spring and even though my phone has lots of capacity, I somehow feel that I'll be using more than my phone can handle. This little device gives me a place to store my photos and videos so that I can delete them from my phone and give me room for the next day's fun! It's also very light weight so adding it to my checked luggage won't be an issue. Overall I'd recommend this for anyone like me who takes TONS of photos and videos!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung P7 Portable SSD is easy to use; you plug it in and go. It connects and runs perfectly with my phone. The transfer rate is super-fast at up to 4,000 MB/s. It also connects with my laptop perfectly. The best part is that it is small and thin enough to carry in your pocket. And I also like the fact that the cable is bound with Velcro straps. I will be using the drive to back up pictures from my phone so that I never have to worry about losing them, and to save space on the actual phone. There are no features to me that I use on the drive other than its transfer rate. It does have the latest USB support of USB4. The hard drive is compatible with Windows, Android, and macOS. It really is amazing how small hard drives have become with high capacity like 1TB.
I recommended this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung P7 Portable SSD checks all the boxes for everything you could want in an external drive. The hardware design is extremely compact and lightweight which makes the drive very portable. I appreciate the subtle leather looking texture on the top of the enclosure that adds a premium feel. The bottom of the case has a softer non-slip grip applied to it so the drive can stay in place when lying flat on a surface. USB4 capabilities also means that the SSD has super fast transfer speeds. On my Desktop Windows PC I'm able to install and run games directly off the drive. Samsung Magician software also made it really easy to check and install the latest firmware. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with how fast the read and write speeds are. It's fast enough for both content creation and gaming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Samsung P7 Portable SSD. I enjoyed using it very much. It's super fast and loved how thin the profile is. It's my smallest non SD card drive, and much faster than anything I own so far. The cord is also well made of good durable quality material. I haven't had any issues with it running in my laptop which is Windows, or in my family's Macbook. It's completely compatible. I use the drive to transfer word documents, PDFs, jpeg files, RAW files, photos, movies, videos, and TV shows. Performance is quite fast and don't have to wait long at all even for huge files that normally take a lot longer to transfer. It's black solid color and nice to look at. I like the strength of the usb connection as that is the failure point in other brands and models. I like the slim profile and the fast speed the most. Overall love using this daily for work and file transfer at home.
I recommended this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid photographer and take a lot of family and travel pictures. I have a very large library of photos stored online, but up until now, I didn't have an easy and efficient way to keep local backups. This tiny device (only slightly larger than a credit card) now holds every digital photo I've ever taken, with room to spare for several more years of memories! Backup drives have been around for years, but the older external drives I've used in the past were slow, clunky, and frustrating to work with. This SSD is blazing fast and runs on a single USB-C cable. No separate power brick or cord clutter to mess with. The Samsung P7 has given me real peace of mind knowing all my family photos are safely stored locally in my home. Using Samsung Magician makes it simple to keep the drive optimized and updated, and file transfers are effortless. It’s an excellent little drive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, I've been waiting for this portable SSD for quite a bit. Since it was first announced, I knew I had to have it. I got the 1TB version and I'm blown away. It’s incredibly small and easy to toss into a bag or even a pocket, which makes it perfect for travel or working between different setups. Despite its tiny size, the data transfer speeds feel lightning fast, especially when moving large video files, photo libraries, or backups. I just did a backup from my old computer to my new one, in under 8 minutes. It was wild. It has a solid, premium feel without being bulky, and it’s nice not having to rely on slower external drives anymore. Setup was simple, and it worked right away without any hassle. Everything you need, is included.. except one thing. I wish it came with a carrying case or even a little bag. Overall, it’s a reliable, super portable drive that makes storing and moving files feel effortless. I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Portable P7 SSD is an awesome sleek compact storage device. It’s perfect for on-the-go setups due it’s size and portability. This drive fits perfectly in my travel bag for work. I was able to test the drive by moving large movie files and photos rather quickly without issue. This size of the device is about the width and height of a credit card. This makes the P7 super convenient to carry around. I tested the compatibility with my Samsung phone and PC the SSD and it works flawless. I already have some Samsung NVME drives so I’m familiar with Samsung’s Magician software. I ran a few benchmark tests and wasn’t able to get the advertised speeds from my Thunderbolt USB 4 ports on my gaming PC, but they were pretty close. To put it into perspective however, getting 32000mb/s read speeds for a portable device wouldn’t have been possible a few years back. I love the design and its portability and can’t wait to use the P7 on my next vacation. I recommend this one for someone who needs fast and reliable storage at home and on the go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve found the Samsung P7 1TB Portable SSD to be a convenient storage solution for both my Apple iPhone and Windows laptop. I like being able to use the same portable drive with different devices, making it easier to manage and access my files depending on what I’m working on. One of the biggest advantages for me is having extra space to store photos, videos, documents, and other important files. Using it with my iPhone is especially useful when I want another option for storing photos and videos, while connecting it to my Windows laptop gives me a convenient way to organize files and keep important documents in one place. I also really like the compact design. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, so I can keep it with me without taking up much space. The 1TB capacity provides plenty of room for everyday storage needs and it was very fast and easy to use as well! Overall, I appreciate the flexibility of being able to use the Samsung P7 with both my iPhone and Windows laptop. Its combination of portability, storage capacity, and compatibility makes it a practical choice for everyday use. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient way to store and manage files across compatible devices.
