What an unfair and misleading poor reviews that mention it doesn't have backlight. It actually does have pretty good backlight that can be turned on from F12 button and its intensity can be adjusted from buttons F7 and F8.
I recommended this product.

Don't be fooled by the marketing (including the packaging). Although the packaging shows English this is a bilingual keyboard. Part English and part French. If you are used to using proper English keyboards do NOT purchase this unless you want your keys mislabeled... I'm now forced to argue with Samsung about returning this product since it's opened (and the only way you'd know if differs from the packaging is to open it...)

Lacking backlighting?!?! In 2026? As a professional, I need the lighting to see in dark areas. I waited since the release of the tablet in September for this keyboard. Nearly six months, to be surprised with yet another step back. First we took the Bluetooth from the pen, and now the lighting here. When is Samsung going to stop removing features and try to justify charging more?

I recently bought this keyboard, quality is exceptional, the design is unlike any keyboard like this for a tablet. I have the IPad Pro magic key board as well and I really like the Samsung design better and the material it is made from. Much sturdier. I am located in Canada, so let's talk about the elephant in the room, here in Canada we get the bilingual keyboard, for English Canadians, a bit of a pain because some of the symbols are in different places than the standard keyboard layout. My work around is to set it up as both English and French but key the board set up under French so things like the ? Which is over the 6 will work, sure not the same as the English keyboard but a small difference. It works great and it takes all the guess work out. This is truly a great keyboard and completes the system nicely. Think, strong and ecstatically pleasing.
I recommended this product.

Why doesn't Samsung Canada offer separate English and French keyboards? I made that mistake on my Tab S7+ and bought the bilingual version and won't make it again. This keyboard is another terrible bilingual keyboard layout with keys in different places than a standard keyboard. I have to purchase any needed keyboards from the US to make sure I get the English only version.

Overall this is actually a great keyboard with great build quality and fantastic touchpad. It really elevates the tablet and makes using Dex all the better. The typing experience is nice on it with the key travel not being too shallow like other Samsung keyboards I've used and it has a satisfying click to it. So then why only 2 stars? Similar to most other complaints here, it's because you HAVE to buy a English/Franch version of they keyboard so there are additional keys in places that typing muscle memory gets thrown off. Even the fact that the some keys symbols have been moved around and it just looks so much messier with some keys now having additional symbols on them. In terms of typing I don't have to look to type so the letters being arranged differently isn't that big of a deal since the tablet itself is set as a standard US English layout and I ended up re-mapping the additional keys to what they would normally be, but to pay this much and still have to work around is beyond frustrating. This could have been an easy 5 start review as the keyboard otherwise is great, but it's absolutely ridiculous that Samsung does not offer us an option on which keyboard layout we actually want.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it seems to work great I like the great build quality. Nice and sturdy, back lighting isn't quite as bright as I was hoping but its fine in the dark. It is quite expensive but thats fair for the current crap with our economy.

The hinge is too weak for the tablet. After a certain angle, because of the tablet's weight, it tilts all the way back. The tablet doesn't have any protection. I wish Samsung had a case to go with it, as I already dented it due to the lack of protection.
