I was happy with this fridge for the first year and a half that I had it, but then suddenly the temperature controls started beeping and changing randomly on their own, and now the fridge temperature is stuck at 5C and the temp control buttons don't work. I put 3 different thermometers inside the fridge and am getting readings of 6-8C, so something is clearly wrong (and my food is getting spoiled). Called Samsung and because it's more than 1 year, they won't do anything to help. The repair tech is going to charge $150 just to come and see what the problem is. I thought I was making a good investment buying this fridge, but sadly I was wrong.

Beware that parts are not available for repair. My temperature control panel stopped functioning less than two years after purchase. I've been waiting 3 months for the necessary part to arrive so the fridge can be fixed. I have talked to several repair techs, as well as the authorized parts distributor for North America, and no one can tell me if or when the part will ever arrive. They said it's possible that the part has been discontinued without notice. And if the parts ever do arrive, it is going to cost around $600 to repair. This fridge is less than 2 years old and is unable to be fixed.

We bought this refrigerator from Canadian appliance in Toronto about one year and four months ago just because we had a good experience with Samsung refrigerator for many years before back home and after coming to Canada, we decided to buy a Samsung refrigerator again but just after its warranty expired it starts to make a noise and changing its temperature constantly. As you know, this noise can drive you crazy. I called to repair service team and they told me it will be cost $120 just for come by and see what's the problem is and then $80 for labor and also replacement price is going to be added. As a newcomer to Canada, I can't pay that money so, I have to stand this crazy noise. honestly, I will no longer recommend to anyone buying Samsung refrigerator.

I had a repair tech come out and they said the temperature control panel is completely broken (after less than 2 years) and will need to be replaced. It is not communicating with the rest of the fridge, and is therefore not able to adjust the temperature, Even worse, the panel is not able to be found anywhere in Montreal, so it needs to be ordered directly from Samsung for $165 (for the part only, not the labour of the repair). This is completely unacceptable for an expensive, new appliance such as this. Another piece of info: when I called the repair place and told them my fridge was a Samsung, they immediately told me Samsungs are "problematic" and "have lots of issues" and that even when fixed the issues typically come back. Wish I had known this before purchasing this fridge. Bear this in mind before purchasing!

ok. I can live with lightweight. that's the way of the world these days. However, when you close the top door the bottom freezer door pops open regularly. I'm not talking about slamming here. you push the top door shut and the bottom door pops open. it's not my job to have to go into a deep thinking process every time i choose to open or close the refrigerator door, eh? So, I close the top door at night and if i am not assiduous enough about that, I wake up in the morning to find i've been freezing the entire house all night. great. I should watch for that, you say? No. when you close a door you should be able to walk away from the unit. two stars. lucky to get that.

I really do like this refrigerator especially having the freezer on bottom. Has a ton of room below and ample space above. Very quiet and keeps the Temps where you choose to have them. I have wireless thermometers for each section with an external readout with alarms if the Temps go too high and they've never gone off so far. The stainless is holding up really well and I'm hoping this will be the last one I'll need to buy since I'm retired now. The reason for not giving it the 5th star is because it states in their specs and online that it has gallon shelves and that isn't true. I'm a gallon every 2 day milk drinker and that eliminated many of the other choices for me and why I purchased this one. I've contacted Samsung many times to ask about this and a couple other things and no one ever gets back to me. Great fridge without gallon support and customer support is non-existing.

Bought this refrigerator around 2 years ago. Overall it works great, but we've had a rough time with the freezer drawers. The bottom drawer has broken twice in the two years we've had the fridge. The first time was able to be covered under warranty but this most recent one we had to pay to replace. The drawers are made of cheap plastic so no wonder the fronts have snapped off.

I think this fridge is awesome not to big not to small keeps things nice & cold can't really fit to big of items like example I have to lay my milk down for it to fit & another example is I bought pizzas & had to take a drawer out to fit them in the freezer so gotta take shelves in a out depending what you put in fridge but it's a awesome fridge also beeps when left open.

I had two problems with this product. First opening the refrigerator and freezer was not easy and convenient. The other problem is the drawers, they are not strong enough and they will be broken easily. The size is great. I wish there was more space inside the fridge too.

This model is great that it’s counter depth and visually it is very nice. But the bottom freezes up and I have to chip away every month. The fruit baskets fill up with water every few days and that needs to be emptied. And there is not a lot of shelf space.
