We acquired the Samsung fridge(French Door-30") in October 2019. After just four years of use, it started emitting an extremely loud noise that disrupted our sleep for about a week. When we contacted Samsung support, we were informed that the warranty had expired. Desperate for a solution, we called a technician who diagnosed the issue as a loose fan inside the freezer. He replaced the fan, costing us nearly $200, and charged an additional $130 for labor. Finally, our home returned to peace and quiet. This experience was incredibly stressful, especially considering that we expected the appliance, which was only four years old, to last at least a decade. We owned another refrigerator, a Frigidaire brand, which has been in use for over 15 years and is still functioning well. When I asked the technician about the cause of the problem, he simply attributed it to poor quality. We are deeply disappointed with this purchase and have decided never to buy any Samsung appliances again!

There are not many reviews for this model fridge so we weren't sure to buy or not, but it was on sale so we got it. After 2 weeks its been working well. The fridge is very wide so plenty of space, though it would be better if you could split the shelves to put some taller items without making an entire shelve tiny. We were not sure about recessed handles but are used to it now and definitely loots more aesthetic. The lights are bright and the freezer shelves have plenty of space and slides all the way compared to one of the 30" LG model. It is definitely not quiet but our old fridge was even louder so we don't notice it. The recommended temp was fridge 3°C and freezer -18°C but we changed it to 4°C and -14°C because the the fridge top shelve wasn't cold enough and freezer was frosting. The door alarm sounds after a couple minutes of it being open which is pretty annoying, another model rang after 5 minutes which is preferable. For the price we got paid it was worth trying but definitely get extended warranty.

At the front of the drawers there are two pieces of plastic that sit on top of one another very tightly. You cannot clean in between therefor residue collects in between and after cleaning the fridge it still looks like it needs cleaning. Contacted customer service they said they were all like that and to use high pressure water to clean it???? Based on this I would not recommend this fridge. ALSO below it says Samsung has the right to edit my review?

We bought fridge 1 less than a month ago and it had to be replaced due to cooling/freezing issues. It was replaced with fridge #2 9 days ago and we are having the same problems. Fridge set at 37f and freezer set at 0f ... fridge varies from 38-46 and freezer from +8 to -12 Even if we haven't opened the doors for hours and we don't have a lot of food items in either area. I have been monitoring those temps with 2 different fridge/freezer thermometers. What's worse is there is no Samsung authorized repair company closer than a 4 hour drive away and the likelyhood of them coming that far is pretty slim although I have to verify that when they open. This is really upsetting as we really like the design of this fridge and it is one a a very few that fit in the space for a fridge in our home.

I bought this fridge 3 years ago. First 6 months was noiseless operation. Started to be very loud. Woke us up during the night from the kitchen while we sleep in the Master bedroom. We found out the fridge needs to be de-iced every month. Moved the cable to a switch extension because I cannot move the unit in and out constantly. There's no de-ice feature. Turn off the unit and let everything melt in the freezer. However pretty and good to have the freezer at the bottom not recommend this unit

Unsafe for food storage due to poor circulation. I need to set it 1 degree C or the front of the shelves and doors raise above 4 degrees, averaging 6 in the middle, 4.5 at the bottom, and up to 10 on the top when set to 3, the recommended setting. Even at 1, most areas other than the back of the fridge average 2-4 degrees and the top of the door still hits 5 degrees when not being opened for hours. I have tried placing the shelves differently, leave ample space along the sides and back walls, and it still does not circulate the air well enough to keep my food cooled at the proper temps. I have a service ticket open with Samsung right now and I think I may need to take legal action to get refunded or exchanged it for a better fridge. If you already own this fridge, I strongly suggest testing it out with digit thermometers, there are others reporting the same issues that tested it as well.

Fridge is okay. It's very spacious, but the way the shelves can be organized is not optimal. Furthermore, the glass shelves bend heasily and I am very scared to put anything heavy on it in the middle. The close door warning for the freezer will not go on if the door is open by about less than 1 inch, but that is sufficient to let thing thaw on the upper drawer in two days. I was happy the fridge is magnetic, but the stainless will scratch at nothing! The anti fingerprint finish is not very good (but you can wash them easily with regular soap), so you'll get fingerprints AND scratches... I'm so sad for the scratches :( I also haven't seen any information about being able to remove the ice maker, which takes a lot of place in the freezer for nothing if a water line cannot be installed. The only goof thing about it is that it is the biggest fridge for 30 inches of width and that it looks good (until you realize it get scratches so easily)

We have owned this fridge for several years and there is a design flaw that causes the water to build up under the crisper draw. Samsung issued a ‘supposed’ fix at the bottom cooling coil by selling a metal piece that is meant to avoid ice build up. It does not work!!!

I think this fridge is pretty cool, no issues so far, I've had it about a month or two and still going strong. One of the issues with my old fridge was how loud it was and this new fridge is a lot quieter and I can enjoy a movie without having to blow out my TV speakers lol. I'd recommend. Also keeps the product in it and a good temperature and I like how easy it is to control and monitor through the Samsung Things app. Also really nice capacity and I appreciate the lighting int this fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say about this fridge. For the most part I am ok with it. But here are some negative issues. The ice maker get frozen all the time. I have to keep putting my fridge in a FD MODE to get the ice maker unfrozen. There is a loud beeping noise while the fridge thaws out. I am not sure what the problem is but the water line freezes inside and it’s not making any ice. Also the water dispenser works when it wants to due to frozen water. I either would have to unplug it for 3 days or stick a hairdryer in the ice maker. Then it randomly stops making ice again and freeezes. The ice maker in the bottom freezer works flawlessly. Despite the fridge being huge there is hardly any place to put anything. Gallon on milk on the door and OJ and the other drinks have to be laid flat because you can’t stand them up.

So far the refrigerator has exceeded expectations. While only 30 inches wide it is full value with 22 square feet of space. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. Having purchased directly from Samsung we saved additional money, free delivery and to top it all off paid us $150.00 for our old refrigerator and as a new customer, we received an additional 5% discount. Samsung also offers a 4 year extended warranty $150.00 cheaper than Home Depot and Rona.

We could not be happier with this appliance. It holds a lot of food because it is quite deep, and it keeps things at a perfect temperature, which can be regulated if you want it colder or not so cold. It lets you know if you have left the door open, for more than five minutes. And the door doesn’t slam shut so you can load things in without having to have a free hand to pop it open. We like everything about this, including its smudge, free surface!

We bought this Fridge last year and love it. The temperature in the fridge stays constant and love the size. It does stick out past our cupboards several inches but overall it works as it should. We turned off all of the link items except for the door alarm. The only item that is difficult is the spacing of the shelves but it is a minor issue. It is very quiet. The bottom freezer compartment with Ice Maker is excellent size for us.

The first 3 days, the fridge was very loud but now it is quiet and suits my space perfectly (I'm in a condo). Only complaint I have is that there aren't many options to space the shelves. The convenience of the French doors makes it so easy to get exactly what you need without opening both doors every time. The door trays hold so much, and are very ready to remove and clean or rearrange of you need to. The three humidity controlled drawers including the hive bottom pull out drawer are amazing you can fit ask of your fruits and veggies in no problem. The freezer drawer on the bottom is so easy to pull out and has a sliding top tray u can push back to gain access to the deep lower section. And the ice maker works amazing and keeps the ice tray full at all times. Over all I give it a 9.5 out of 10. The stainless steel gets very dirty easily and you have to have stainless steel cleaner to clean it properly. Other then that it's amazing.

This fridge is poorly designed for air flow, requiring it to be set at 1 degree to ensure the shelves in the door stay below 4 degrees, and yet even at 1 degree with everything spaced and one of the inner shelves removed, it still will not keep the top door shelf below 5 degrees. Also have issues with the top shelf, set at the second level available; the front sits at 2.5 degrees. Only the middle and back remain between 0.5 and 1.8 degrees, even when not opening the fridge for hours. I have reached out to support, who sent a tech out, but nothing can be done because it is not truly all-around cooling. There are only four vents that pull cool air from the freezer located at the far back centre, so anything not spaced blocks the airflow completely. The only option is to have as little as possible in the fridge and make sure all items are not touching.If you want to test it out, you need to have at least three thermometers placed in different locations to get the proper test results. In the end, this fridge is not safe for food storage unless you monitor it and adjust things accordingly to allow air flow. And even still, do not expect even cooling. While it is convenient to have the freezer at the bottom so you do not need to bend over when going into the fridge, just remember that heat rises, so all fridges designed this way that rely on the freezer for fridge cooling will not perform as well as those with the freezers on top. This fridge, because of its size, is one of the worst.

Nice size fridge-a little to big for my available space but live able. I live in an older house and fridges were not this big when my house built. This is style of fridge we wanted. This was the smallest one we could find in this style. Only one issue so far is that the height of interior shelves is not enough to holder taller items. If shelves were split in the middle and adjustable to accommodate tall items would be good

Bottom freezer and drawer great for the kiddos to grab their freezies and ice creams. East setup and control through the phone app. Great size and doors open wide. A touch more customizability for the main shelves would be welcome but other than that very satisfied with our purchase.

We purchased this fridge in white while on promotion about 5 months ago. EXTERIOR: We live in an open plan condo and the minimalist design and clean square lines suit us very well. INTERIOR: Placement of shelving is a bit tricky, but we made all three work by placing one with low clearance. We are able to comfortably slip in leftovers glass storage containers alongside a deep shallow organizer and egg carton. Some lost space deep in the back, but has not been a problem for our family of three. Juice, milk cartons, miscellaneous bottles, and condiments jars will fill out your door cubbies quickly, though this does not seem anything new and we have made it work by using some shelf space as necessary. Curious about the third lower shallow drawer within the refrigeration space. I imagine it states somewhere the intended use, but I did not see it. Meanwhile, we have stored our cold cuts and, dimensions permitting, items which we wish to let slow defrost. Must admit, it has happened that we have forgotten about items in this opaque area though. Freezer is flexible, we use a container to organise our items. TEMPERATURE: During the heat of the summer we ended up turning down the thermostat down by a degree or so below recommended temperatures as it did not feel quite ideal i.e. ice cream was a little soft directly coming from freezer (perhaps worth note that we do not have central air and our summers do hover in the high-20's/low-30's. Equally worth note that, during this winter, we safely increased the temperature, to -18°C/3°C respectively. Regarding the ice maker or wifi features, while they appeared simple enough if you have the required access, we did not bother as we personally require nor foresee any real need. Ideally we would have liked a counter depth fridge, however with the width and the functional space, this fridge better suits our purposes and need. Overall we have been satisfied and pleased with our investment.

Poor engineering design. I purchased this refrigerator because it was the only22 cu for refrigerator the the sound fit into the space we had. They advertised an interior water filter for the ice maker. After the installation I was unable to find the filter compartment which is supposed to be accessed from inside the unit. all of the manuals show a location to access the filter. I later found out that the filter for this model (which they mentioned in any of their literature) is located in back of the unit. So now I have to move the fridge to change the filter. HOW STUPID IS THAT. All of their other refrigerator have interior compartment filters. All I can say is that Samsung has some real bonehead engineers. Who wants to move their refrigerator to change filter. I've seen some really dumb thins as a sales engineer and this one wins an award. And just to compare that offer the same refrigerator with an ice water dispenser that has interior filter. Samsung wins the stupid award for bad design. No mention of is made anywhere in their manuals or literature of the feature difference.

I bought mine about 3 years ago and we have had no issues with it so far! If you are on the shorter side, it is a bit of pain with the depthness of the shelves but that's a small gripe overall.
