Galaxy Tab S4 - Add New Users to Your Tablet for Family Members (SM-T830)

Your tablet is so awesome, you want to keep it all to yourself. But unfortunately, you need to share it with your family, including your younger siblings. To keep your data private and personal, add new users to your tablet. You can add multiple accounts, one for each of your family members.

Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Add your own account on your tablet to prevent your annoying brother from messing up your settings or peeking into your personal stuff.

Add a New User

From Settings, search for and select Users. Touch Add user or profile, and then select which type of account you want to make. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setting up the new user.

If you want to completely block your brother from accessing your account, you can set up a screen lock.

Uh-oh, the tablet is on your sister's account. Better switch back fast before she goes nuts on you!

Switch User

From the Lock screen, touch the User icon. Then, touch the user you want to switch to.

Okay, this is an important note to the parents. Make sure you set up a screen lock on the administrator account, and keep it a secret from your children. Otherwise, they can delete each others account, and there will be chaos. Users other than the administrator can delete their own accounts but not others.

Delete a User

To delete a user, navigate to Settings, and then search for and select Users. Touch the Delete icon next to the user you want to delete. Then, touch DELETE to confirm your decision.
