Pre ordered the Galaxy Watch8. Traded in my old watch, and got a wonderful credit towards the new device. So happy that I did. The new watch is crisp, with a new face that has a plate behind it. Makes it look elegant. The only issue I have is there is not many different colors of bands to choose from besides White. I prefer a taupe color.

I received the Galaxy Watch8 2 weeks ago and am very happy with my purchase! I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and I have to say that the battery life is so much better with the Watch8 than the Watch7. With the Watch7 LTE, I would get less than 1 day of battery life, even with the LTE turned off, and just sitting around the house. With the Watch8, even walking around all day while on vacation, I was returning to the hotel room with approximately 50% battery, such an improvement! The display is also much criper, and I really like the new UI. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a smartwatch.

Unlike most people who dislike the new design, I personally love it! It's a breath of fresh air. It looks so modern and clean! It's so fast, and the battery life is good! I've been loving it! One of my favorite things is the fact that the strap release mechanism is now built into the watch! No more fiddling with pins, you just clip the strap into place!

I've had the Galaxy Watch 8 for a little while now and it's been awesome. The first thing I noticed is how light and comfortable it is. I've had other smartwatches that felt chunky and heavy, but I literally forget I'm wearing this one, even when I'm sleeping. The new squircle design actually looks way better in person than in pictures, and the band is super comfortable. It feels really well-made, and the battery life is surprisingly good, lasting me well over a day even with my always-on display. The whole thing just feels like a natural part of my day, which is exactly what you want from a smartwatch.

Upgraded my Watch 42mm (2018) to the Watch8 44mm, and I'm having a blast with it. I was barely using my first watch and had reservations on how much use I would get out of my new Watch8. But a week later all those doubts are out of my mind! I use the watch daily to track my sleep, measure my BMI every morning, and calculate all my daily fitness objective. The ease that the UI provide to access my music during my runs or cycling has been such a boon! And I can't stop playing with the amount of display customization Samsung has provided for the device. Every event I try out a new watch face, its always switching between casual, business and sports mode regularly! Definately recommend this!

I had a Galaxy Watch 7 before, but buying this was a great decision. It feels light on my wrist, and the band is more comfortable. I can wear it for a longer time, plus the battery lasts longer. I make it through my day easily and still have enough juice to wear it without worrying about charging, and the features are an added bonus on top of all that.

It looks and feels like a real watch that does amazing things! I personally love the fact that I can split my face to two different time zones. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I fell in love with my boyfriend Samsung S24 in 2024. Since then, we had two babies together. Earbuds 3 Pro and now Watch 8 40mm Bluetooth + LTE. My baby didn't disappoint me, instead made me proud. I am still figuring out all the features. But very happy so far. Beautiful sexy design, looks sleek even on my thin arm, specifically love the two finger pinch dismissal of notifications, side button customisation, app notification settings. I haven't used the health tracking yet. I would have loved to be able to manually lock the watch with the wrist detection turned on. But now I need to turn it off to be able to lock it manually.

This is the first smart watch I have ever bought. In fact this is the first watch I've had for over 15 years other than a Polar fitness band. I bought it when I upgraded my phone as part of the contract as a way to monitor my fitness and I was pleasantly surprised at how well integrated it is with the phone and Clouse services. The only gripe I have is that the battery only lasts a day, which I can understand considering what it does, but it is really annoying having grown up with watches where the battery lasts for weeks or months. I suppose this will get better over time. But lovely watch, great design, amazing customisability.

I decided to upgrade from my Galaxy Watch 6 to the Galaxy Watch 8 44mm as I was very intrigued by the new UI and design. I must say that I am quite happy with the new watch. It's far better than the previous models and the battery life is also a bit better. The new UI helps you get much better battery life despite not really being much bigger. The design itself is great, but not for everyone! The software is nicely designed and the watch is zippy. My only gripe with it is that I wish the wireless charging was faster! Overall it's a great watch!

Can't run some Samsung apps properly that I used to run on previous watch due to permissions being so locked down. New features like vascular load and Age's index not really helpful. Don't know what results should look like for some one my age. Using a Vaseline than comparing against a baseline can let you know if improving or getting worse, but doesn't tell me how I compare to my age group. I don't feel like it's a massive leap forward. Much the same. Not worth the upgrade (so far). Temperature should be able to be measured any time. Not just while I'm sleeping. Needs work

I have used Pixel watch, Pixel watch 2 and Pixel watch 3 for last couple years. Apart from getting notifications, i wanted to track my health especially sleeping habits. None of the pixel watches were comfortable on my wrist while sleeping. With the Galaxy Watch 8 44mm, i have been sleeping with it since the day i received it. It did help me realize how much sleep deprived i was. Its been just about 10 days using it, and I am already getting better with my sleeping habits. The watch is really light weight and comfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm here for the gift card, but stayed to tell you how surprisingly good the Galaxy Watch8 actually is! I expected a smartwatch. What I got was a little computer strapped to my wrist that somehow makes my phone feel lazy. The screen is beautiful, everything feels smooth, and the health tracking is impressive. It works brilliantly with my Google Pixel, and being able to use my own custom apps is a massive bonus. Is it perfect? Not quite. The battery could last longer, but considering everything this little gadget does, I'm impressed. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I still like the gift card? Also absolutely. 😂

I purchased the watch as a Christmas present for my husband. After wearing the watch for 6 days the battery life was not improving. The most you will get for battery life is 1.5 days with all features turned off. This makes it an expensive digital watch. Very disappointed when comparing to Garmin's that he was getting an average of a 6 days battery life. I do not recommend purchasing this watch especially if you currently have a Garmin and are thinking of trying a Galaxy watch.

I had no idea how much I would enjoy this watch. I did not think it would work on me, but its feedback makes me want to be more active. It helps me notice when I sit too long, and I love the faces (spent way too much time customizing mine, but I can't honestly say I regret it). I was worried about the battery, but it was never a problem, and with the quick charger, it fills up real quick. The display is awesome, and it is very well built. After several months of heavy use, it still looks like new. I also really like the gestures, and specifically the "double pinch". The speakers are better than I would expect, speech (Gimini) is very clear, and when I am really lazy, I make quick phone calls from it (mostly to the fam). I love paying with it (personally, I use Google Wallet), and I love to have DUO on me wherever I am for 2FA. I received it as a gift from my in-laws (I know... lucky me...), but it was not too profitable, as I liked it so much that I bought the 40mm Watch8 for my sister (I know.... lucky her...).

I have had this watch for a month now and it is fantastic. Upgraded from the 6 model and this one has even more features that I use all the time. Lots of health tracking functions which I use constantly. EKG, blood oxygen SPo2, heart rate etc. I still need to calibrate the blood pressure monitor with an external one but I intend to use this health function as well. Fitness tracking is really good as well. Tap my CC from the watch now instead of the phone.

It works brilliantly with my Samsung S23 Ultra and has quickly become part of my everyday routine. The screen is bright and easy to read, the menus are simple to use, and I like being able to check calls, messages, reminders and other information without constantly pulling out my phone. I also use it for activity, sleep and general health tracking, which has made me pay a bit more attention to what I’m doing each day. What I like most is that it doesn’t feel like a gadget I’ll get bored with after a few weeks. It’s genuinely useful. Do I absolutely need it? Probably not. Would I want to give it up now? Upgrading from an ageing Watch4, this new watch is so comfortable to wear, the cushion design is surprisingly nice and it's growing on me. The only downside tho is that this watch does get get damaged pretty easily, like I already have a range of small cosmetic marks. Also, I am fairly certain that my watch actually came with some as well, which is a bummer, so maybe quality control is not the best. That being said, I have come to embrace the marks as I believe they make it truly mine, and the rest of the watch is just top tier. It's so smooth, the battery is so legendary, and overall it's great for all aspects of my life.

I bought this watch a couple weeks ago. I traded my old Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (44mm) in order to get this. Trade value was very low but they also gave me a $150 credit to reduce the total cost of a new smart watch. So far, I love the OLED display compared to the old watch. Very high knits, so being outdoors, I can still see my notifications just fine. Battery life, gets me about a full day. Mind you, I have everything turned on. One thing I'm a bit disappointed on is the Always on Display. It does not dim the image at all. My Samsung Fit 3 does Always on Display better by just having the time. Which really is what I was expecting. There are other sensors that I have yet to test. Also, for the life of me, why does Samsung not provide the option to upgrade the straps for free. I got the 40mm version and it came with a small band. It barely fits my wrist. I love the build quality of this thing. Premium feeling and light on the wrist.

This is my third Galaxy watch, from the very first model, choosing the classic, then the Galaxy 6 classic, and over that period of time the generationl transformation has been quite different. Samsung's journey from heavy chunky watches, LTE 3G, now retaired from the air waves in Australia to 4G connection, still not at 5G, and the fitness apps that appear to dominate with a huge following. I purchased this watch about a year ago, mostly to track my steps and exercise, sleep quality, and check notifications. I decided to provide a review because the watch had recently alerted me to a health issue. I was able to have it treated and avoid a worse outcome. My watch had vibrated and woke me up multiple times during the night because my sleeping heart rate was abnormally high. I happened to see my doctor for other reasons the next day, and mentioned this in passing. It seems that my watch had accurately meaured my heart rate and it was dangerously high. I was taken to emergency and found to have pneumonia in both lungs despite not having symptoms. If the infection had been picked up a day later, I most likely would have been septic.

Cleaned sensor, changed arms, turn power saving on and off, reset watch, uninstalled and reinstalled apps and still no luck. I'm getting to the point where I might return to place of purchase.

I do strongly recommend that a screen protector and clear soft watch face case be included in the box. It is pretty bad when you have to be extremely careful not to get screen scratched or damaged due to these things not being included. At least if it was included then I wouldn't have to stress so much about trying to purchase something online and it arriving as soon as possible to protect my extremely expensive nice fancy smart watch that should come with it in the first place.

For some reasons setting watch 8 took a while When it did connect, the mic on the watch didnt work but i could make calls but not speak and be heard The battery at the start didnt last a day so I thought let's do some research to increase battery life and dear god I almost had a break down. For some reasons it disconnected and refused to connect so my only option was to transfer it to new phone and again for some reason it worked and the battery last all day. The battery life on this watch for me last a day but with watch4 I could use it for few days. Would I recommend this yeah maybe if youre lucky.

The battery life of the device impresses me, and I'm finding it easy to get two full work days in between charges and a fair amount of use. The sleep tracking has been effective and accurate in assisting with regulating my energy levels and the other sensors have helped to identify stress before I realised that I was feeling it. The watch is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time, and the interface is customisable according to whats needed at given times. After two months it still looks and feels new despite constant use.

The screen has becoming noticeably larger and pixel density has probably increased as well, so the user interface has been able to fit in more information and buttons in a more relaxed manner, there's still plenty of empty space so it's not overly cramped. With regards to build quality, the new approach with the watch body looks and feels very nice. I went with the new hybrid watch strap and the quality and feel of it was nicer than I expected, on the inside face, it's essentially still a silicone based strap. Also, the watch's processor has improved a lot, and there's no noticeable lag when using it. Would thoroughly recommend a Watch 8 purchase.

One week in with the Galaxy Watch 8 and I'm a convert. Looks sharp, came with a free band, and set up was a breeze. Battery easily gets through a full day — sleep tracking overnight, exercise included — and charges way faster than I expected. Haven't worn a watch in years and was a bit nervous about that, but I barely know it's there. Clear in any light, intuitive to navigate, and the gesture control caught me off guard in the best way. I bought this to replace my smaller Galaxy watch 7. Super easy to set up and start using. It has so many great features it's hard to focus on just one. I love the health related features. It's so easy to log exercises and check up on my heart rate, definitely helps keep me motivated! I wear it while I sleep, it lets me see my sleep cycles and gives me advice if anything needs improvement. The only very minor thing I don't like is that when I put it into sleep mode and check the time, usually when half asleep in the dark, it first shows the regular watch face then slips into the basic sleep mode time. It's like a lag in timing. I just find it mildly annoying because my regular watch face is bright. Otherwise I am happy with my watch, everything else seems to work great.

I've only have this for a month and it is incapable of tracking sleep accurately with gaps in the data now each and every night. When contacting Samsung for assistance they've been useless so far and more interested in trying to hand out 10% discount vouchers instead of actually fixing the problem. Otherwise it's a good watch with easy setup, reasonable battery life and a good set of watch faces to choose from...if only it did what it was supposed to do, and Samsung support was more focused on fixing the problem.

The design is controversial. I really don't like that the wireless charging function from the phone has not been turned, although the back has become flatter. I also didn't like that the back is white. It always should be black, even on a Silver watch. The black back makes the watch look thinner. On the positive side, the useful part of the display has become a little larger, and new sensors have appeared. Overall I like the Samsung watch, I would rate it a 4. But I want to get your attention so I rated it lower.

It is easy to swipe and find what you want and has a big, bright screen that is easy to see. I like how you can organise apps and tiles the way you like. I didn’t particularly like the band and the way it closes but the new band attachment is so much easier to use, no more fiddling with pins, it just clicks in and releases with a button underneath the watch. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

I have had my Galaxy Watch8 for about 5 months now. It has exceeded my expectations. I love the new watch face bezel and the new watch band, it is sporty but also classy for dressed-up events. The software has been rock steady, along with the battery life. Love it.

It's a nice looking watch, but what has really impressed me is the quality and variety of data I now have, particularly as it relates to health and fitness. Previously, with the old devices I got pretty basic info and the readings were inconsistent. With the galaxy watch I have really fast readings, with lots of quality data. Now, using the Samsung health app I have a good read on so many things and it's very simple to tweak and get high value info to help on the health and fitness journey. This supports data nerds like me who like to dive in deep, but it's also super useful for people who want straight forward clear feedback on how things are tracking. So glad I made the switch.

I like the camera function, as I often need to take pictures in weird angles. The ability to change quick functions is a boon. Connectivity to apps on my phone also works well, and integrates well most of the time. Battery life has not improved much over the classic, but it still lasts me a day and that's good enough. The screen is robust and strong, durability has improved over the classic.

Battery doesnt last long which is a pain to remember to carge watch and phone at the same time. The kit also excluded the charger connecter that means again i have to wait for first phone to charge and then watch. At the end of the day i cam only do one or the other as i am too tired to wait for one to complete charging then connect the next item

I love some of the features like the heart rate monitor, step count, and getting notifications (making me my own human Tamagotchi). I don't like that you need to download 3 separate apps to use it. Some of the functions and app stuff is confusing to navigate and figure out. I really don't like the band as it doesn't breathe at all, but have ordered a different band to try. Compared with other smart watches the price was more reasonable for this one.

I got the new watch last week. It looks great, holds a charge for longer. (I'm upgrading from the Watch4). The new faces that are available look nice, until you see the horrible orange highlight colours that can't be changed, this is minor. The main issue is the new strap raises the watch too high to charge on the dock. It charges with the one supplied, but to use the Samsung dock you need to take the strap off. I subsequently bought the fabric strap but this too sits too high.

The Watch8 looks great and performance is great. I always needed to run the Watch4 in battery saving mode to get a full day without recharging. The Watch8 I can run entire day without using battery saving mode and Wow! I can see the dials and know time without pressing buttons. But best, is it looks great on my wrist.

My first swim it correctly recorded my laps, style of swim and times between individual laps. Monitoring my sleeping i was also very interested in. I could never wear the 5 to sleep, it was just too uncomfortable. But the Watch 8 is easy to forget it's even on. I’ve actually been able to use the sleep tracking now, which is a nice bonus. Battery life, though, is kind of meh. It gets me through the day, but I was hoping for a bit more improvement there. Still, overall I’m pretty happy with the upgrade.

There are so many features I especially love the active side where I can see my steps and my heart rate as well as the ability to see how much sleep I got the night before. You know how you usually have to individually tap multiple times on a watches keyboard to get a certain letter well the Galaxy watch 8 has a fully functional keyboard saving you time from all that extra tapping if you don't feel like texting on your phone. All in all Absolutely recommended the Galaxy Watch 8 for your next watch or an upgrade from your last one trust me it is worth it and you'll see the difference.

I previously had an Ourar ring a few years backnthat helped me monitor health, stress etc. I made the decision recently to purchase the Samsung watch a few weeks back after being locked out of my Mums house without my phone & no way to contact her to let me in while she was out. Had I had the watch I could have phined her instead of sitting in her carport for hours waiting for her to get home 🤣🤣 I was pleasantly surprised with my new watch when it arrived. Much more conditioning than i had thought it would be & its motivated me to move more. I've just started taking up swimming laps, walking more with great indo from the health features. Very happy I purchased, only wish I had not waited so long!

My main issue with the watch is having tattoos, none of the health or sleep features work as on wrist detection does not work. The only way to get notifications with tattoos is to enable notifications when not wearing the watch. The only way I can get sleep features working is to wear the watch on my opposite wrist while asleep.

Display is amazingly bright and clear, sapphire glass is great, it is by far the most comfortable and lightweight watch I've owned. The dual band GPS is very accurate and reliable, the chip is powerful and the watch is very smooth and fast to use. Extremely pleased with this year's watch and enjoying the refreshed design too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this watch a week ago and have been mainly happy with it. Unfortunately, I find the blood pressure monitor is not accurate. I've checked the reading on the watch a number of times against a proper blood pressure monitor and the readings are never the same. Also, the sleep results are difficult to understand and I find this quite frustrating . The most annoying thing is the watchband. In order for the watch to take proper measurements, you have to wear the watch 2cm above the wrist bone. This makes the watch very uncomfortable to wear and not very attractive on the wrist. Its important that the watch is tight enough on the wrist to take the readings but this makes the watch really uncomfortable to wear. All in all, I love the watch but hope they take comfort into account for future design and make it easier to understand the results.

I bought the galaxy watch 8 and traded in my watch 4 classic. The trade in was seamless. I was skeptical about all the hype samsung was saying about the watch. But you actually get used to it and half the time you forget your wearing a watch, it really is a nice feeling. Not sure about some of the new features and how accurate they are as they are still in beta but still cool to see and great ideas. Would recommend this watch.

The bad: - Battery not as good as pixel watch 3 even with AOD off - Sensors not as good as pixel watch 3 - Treadmill workout still needs manual adjustment (pixel watch 3 was pretty accurate) The good: - I like samsung health and integration with samsung fold7 - watch8 is light and comfortable -so far no irritation with stock watch band (pixel watch 3 irritated my skin)

I had a Garmin before, but it never quite clicked for me — the interface just didn’t feel as smooth or intuitive. Switching to the Watch8 has been a breath of fresh air. The display is bright and super easy to read, the menus make sense, and everything feels fast and polished. The fitness and health tracking are great, and I actually enjoy checking my stats now. Plenty of features and performs quick without any feeling of lag. Can be run without the phone by using the LTE connectivity for calls, messages, music etc when doing a work out but needs to be fully charged as the battery may not last a full workout. My biggest complaint is the battery life, if you use it to monitor sleep and dont run in battery saver mode its hard to get 24 hours out of it, if your day invovled sleep monitoring plus a work out. Using it with blurtooth on and phone always around is only way to push that battery past 24 hours. If you wanted a smart watch to monitor your workouts and health this is great. If you wanted a watch that can be used like a phone and go workouts without the phone, the battery life may give disappointment.

I brought this watch like 3 months ago and the watch strap is stained from unknown causes, I assume decade old bed sheets washed a thousand times. I upgraded from a white garmin which I had for several years and it did not stain once ! Its embarrassing to wear, looks dirty. Really disappointed in the quality of the strap. Also, ECG function never reads always says "poor reading" or "atrial fibrillation"

Bought this a bit ago for golf and basic health tracking. Have to say im beyond pleased with how comfortable this watch is. I was worried it was going to be too bulky and uncomfortable to wear while sleeping and during the day, but it fits snug to your wrist and you can barely tell you have it on. Works really well with the golf app The Grint for any golfers out there. 0 glitches while using the app

The screen size is a wider, somehow larger format. The software is tightly coupled with the smart phone. The structured method for accessing the different apps is better than previous models. The watch gets added into system backup, migrated in Samsung Health, and added into Samsung Find.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mainly got this watch as I'm a Tyoe 1 diabetic and need to keep an eye on my blood glucose levels. It wasn't too hard to connect the watch to my Samsung phone for accessing CGM data and have my BG clearly displayed on the face beside the time. A quick glance at my wrist is much easier than pulling my phone out to check! I also enjoy the other things it does, tracking exercise and sleep, as they are also important for managing Type 1 diabetes well. I only gave 4 stars as the battery life is pretty short and I've been caught out occasionally when I haven't remembered to recharge. It is quick to charge though, and not a big problem to leave it on the charger for a short time each day ... if I remember! I'm a gardener, and the watch seems to be holding up well to the soil and knocks that it gets in the garden. I got a screen protector applied at the time of purchase which obviously helps.

The battery lasts a lot longer than my previous Galaxy watch; it goes down from 90% to 45% in 24 hours. I have never had any issues with connection to my phone. I really like the look of the watch. I haven't had it long enough to comment in its durability, but my last Samsung Galaxy watch was very good. The band is really comfortable; I can hardly tell whether I'm wearing it or not.

It also is advertised as detecting sleep apnea, but it only does this for 2 nights at a time, you have to keep switching it back on, AND it only detects obstructive sleep apnea. With a history of central sleep apnea, I wanted it to detect that. It wasn't until I set up the watch that I saw it can't.
