We have always wanted a large American fridge freezer so when we moved house we decided to buy one. Many months of looking and review checking for us as we didn’t want to rush into it. Although many are cheaper, they didn’t have the features of this Samsung one so the cost was more. However, knowing how long it will last, the enormous guarantee means we will have this for many years to come. We all love the ice and the water, we are drinking lots more water as a family now which is great. The space inside is great as we have had a small fridge previously. The freezer is great, seeing food clearly and not covered in frost / thick ice. We as a family love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this fridge has definately exceeded my expectations. I just love it there is so much room I love the wide door shelves and how the ice and water part doesn't take up any freezer space. Just fab so far my veg and fruit seems to of lasted about 4 days longer than normal. The separate cooling of fridge and freezer is great too it ensure my fridge doesn't get too cold and my frozen food stays frozen. The fridge goes very well in the kitchen , looks really good with the other appliances.The design is great with a good allocation of shelves on both sides , the ice dispenser and iced water work well .The only problem we had was plumbing the appliance in the instructions where a little vague.

Een zeer ruimtelijke koel - vriescombinatie die erg stil is en ook nog eens zuinig in gebruik is. De installatie was zo gebeurd en binnen een paar uur hadden we onze eerste ijsblokjes al. De indeling is heel praktisch met fijne lades en ook veel ruimte in de deuren. Je kunt alleen de glazen platen niet naar eigen inzicht in hoogte aanbrengen. Dit zijn vaste hoogtes. Maar tot nu toe geen hinder van ondervonden. Onze Hello Fresh zakken passen er 1 op 1 in, voor ons ideaal. En daarnaast nog ontzettend veel ruimte over. We zijn er ontzettend blij mee !

we had always wanted to get a bigger Fridge freezer and when we finally moved into the new house, we started searching for the right one. There are so many in the market, it was difficult to decide which would be the right fit for our kitchen. After a lot of deliberation, we shortlisted LG and Samsung. once we had a look at the RS8000, there was no going back. The fridge was delivered and installed promptly. Its been a few weeks since we had the Fridge Freezer and we are absolutely satisfied. plenty of space, love the fact that we can control the temperatures for the fridge and freezer separately. Food stays fresh for longer and the water/ice dispenser is a lovely feature we use all the time. Cant fault it at the moment, loving it!

Wat een prachtige koelkast! We hebben in eerste instantie voor deze Samsung gekozen vanwege het design. Bij vergelijk met andere merken viel echter ook de afwerking positief op. Veel Amerikaanse koelkasten hebben bovenop een lelijke 'bult' maar deze Samsung heeft dat niet. Het interieur is prachtig afgewerkt met goede verlichting. Opvallend is hoe snel de koelkast en vriezer op temperatuur waren na installatie. IJsblokjes/crushed ijs/gekoeld water is natuurlijk de leukste gimmick! Wij zijn er erg blij mee!

We replaced a 14 year old similar style fridge from another manufacturer. Whilst smaller outside this Samsung is much bigger inside - especially the freezer compartment as the ice maker is all in the door. Its also virtually silent - so much quieter than the old one and I love the minimalist design with the controls inside the door. The only negative is that the fridge filter is inline rather than integrated, just makes it a pain to install and replace, I guess there was no room to integrate it.

We are a family of 5 and this is the first time I have been able to fit the weekly shop in and have enough space to see what's in there and could even fit more in if I needed to. I have only managed to totally fill it once and that was at Christmas. It looks amazing and the kids drink so much more water now they have it chilled and with ice every time! This is honestly one of my favourite products in the house. I can't believe I didn't upgrade to an American style years ago.

I have always rated Samsung fridges - my own and friends. I had one previous one, upgraded to another one with a house move, but it only lasted 10 years, so happily bought this one and hoping for many years of space, efficiency, ice cubes, frost-free operation. I love the dark colour that is nicer than a solid black which might be too imposing. All in I am thrilled with purchase and grateful to Curry's for getting it to me even duirng the pandemic crisis.

First off as a free standing fridge it is big and stands out a lot I think I under estimated this and would like to integrate it in the future. But the style is super slick modern, the quality is fantastic and man does it keep your food cold. Space is perfect and trust me there's plenty of it. The only negative thing to say is sometimes when using the ice and water despencer I tend to spill from time to time a bit of a drip tray could of eliminated this. but you do eventually get used it. Also if its the plumbed version I did originally receive information that this was an internal filter and its actually an external one. This is no fault on the product though. I absolutely love my American fridge or as my kids say America fridge. You know its a good product when a month later you still look forward to filling it and using it

The icemaker and water dispenser are great, but there is no way to use a filter so your drinks won't taste very nice. The only way to do it is to buy another tank with a filter and put that alongside the fridge tank and fill up the fridge tank when the other tank has filtered the water! So you have two tanks taking up a whole shelf in the fridge. Pretty stupid! I was on 'chat' with support for 90 minutes to establish this is the only way you can do it,

I'm generally very happy with this fridge freezer but have a couple of niggles. On the plus side it looks good, seems to be of quality construction and I guess most importantly for a refrigeration product keeps its contents at the chosen temperatures. it is quite quiet in operation. The negatives are mainly ergonomic. The water dispenser nozzle is set a little too far forward so the water stream can miss small vessels - a problem compounded by the drip tray having limited capacity. The shelves are not adjustable for position either in the body of the fridge freezer or the doors. Also, with all the space available extra shelves could have been fitted in in both these locations. The doors need quite a tug to open - perhaps less powerful magnets could have been used? Overall a very nice product though and one I would recommend.

We have always used larder fridges for the past years since our child arrived. So making a move away was a bit concerning to say the least. But this fridge is amazing. It fit right in, took all the stuff from the old larder fridges - okay we had to consume a few items from the freezer, but that is to be expected when moving fro a big appliance to a correspondingly smaller appliance. Icemaker and water filter are a blessing - and the child lock on the water dispenser ensures that we are not constantly wiping messes off the floor because little hands decided they like the cool water spout! Cooling is great, makes relatively little noise, looks solid, cleans well. The metal cooling is a good one as I have felt plastic fridges tend to smell a bit. I think this fridge cools faster than previous appliances - which is a plus. Will i recommend the fridge - most definitely.

Just replaced our 20 year old Maytag fridge freezer with RS8000 model. Wondering what the point was of including plastic spare part to use if we don’t want to use the water dispenser - a critical feature required when making our choice - and another shelf -like plastic which fits nowhere. Would have preferred these two bits to be swapped for a wine rack or bottle holder as the Maytag had. Otherwise very happy.

We bought this American style fridge freezer a month ago and the whole family loves it! Although on the outside this freezer is smaller then our previous appliance there is definitely more storage space inside. It runs very quietly and keeps perfect temperature. I also like the easy to use child lock feature to stop little hands pressing the water button. Would most certainly recommend this product.

Bought this fridge as has moved into a new home. I was more than impressed with this. It was worth the effort getting it into the house. Aesthetically, sublime. The plumbed water is incredible. Ice cold water, ice cubes, and crushed ice whenever you need it. Food kept nicely chilled in the refrigerator, and frozen with no ice formation in the freezer. Am totally happy with this purchase.

It started off well. Great design and worked well. As soon as the warranty passed, 2 years, the compressor went. The engineer came and advised it would cost a lot to repair and that it normally fails again Do not buy this fridge or any samsung fridge. I'm a huge fan of samsung, but fridges is something they clearly can't do. There are many reviews here with the same issue.

I bought this to replace a Hisense American Fridge/Freezer which lasted 6 months before it died. This one did have an initial problem with the water line but the engineer fixed it in one visit within a week of reporting it so after the hassle with the previous one I was pleased with the response. It's a lovely appliance with easy access to all areas and plenty of room.

We use to have a very old freezer that we had to defrost monthly. We also had two fridges. We now have one appliance that holds more then our old three appliances put together. Plus the bonus of an ice maker. It’s the first time I have seen our 20 year old son get exited about an appliance. In fact we are all very pleased with it. You just need the space.

The fridge freezer is great and cools quickly and effectively. The ice maker works a treat. The only caveat is that is its got a limited cold water supply (~700ml) due to the capacity of the built in storage bottle that's fed by a plumbed mains supply. The plumbed water is not chilled enough, and the water is at room temp at best.

I have not had the Samsung Fridge freezer very long but already I notice it is very quiet in opperation. I find the design is well thought out allowing maximum room in the freezer which will mean we wont need an additional small freezer unit. The door shelves also are desighned for wider products which is also very good for us.

Great design and good quality. The capacity is much bigger than our previous Fridge Freezer. There are a few draws and lots of shelves, and the freezer so far has been frost free. The seal is good on the fridge and it maintains temperatures really well. We had to dismantle the doors to get the fridge into our property, however the manual provided some clear instructions on this and the hinges are quick release. You also have to fit a water filter using some supplied piping, this is simple because it is all push fit. Only issues we have found is that the crushed icemaker sometimes takes a while to provide the ice and the ices is not crushed as finely as we had expected. Also we have found that the product's drip tray is not quite sufficient to catch any excess ice bits that drop out after you have used the ice maker. Lastly it is a little difficult to get the bottom draw out in the fridge which we sometimes like to do when we are making salad or a fruit salad etc.

This was our first American style fridge freezer and it didn't disappoint! First of all it looks great - the finish on the front isn't pure black like the sides but it's very servicable and doesn't show marks very easily. The inside is compact but at the same time spacious - we can now see everything inside instead of hunting for them. The trays on the fridge door are really big too, making even more stuff visible. The freezer is split into draws and shelves so you can keep lots of frozen stuff visible. The lighting is brilliant inside and the controls very easy to understand and operate. The ice-making and chilled water facility are excellent. I thought this may be a bit over the top for us but I use it most days. The fridge freezer really does keep foodstuffs cold! I would easily have given this appliance 5 stars if it wasn't for a one thing: Whilst the front of the appliance seems very durable the black sides seem quite vulnerable to accidental scratching. Would certainly still recommend this fridge freezer.
