It started off well. Great design and worked well. As soon as the warranty passed, 2 years, the compressor went. The engineer came and advised it would cost a lot to repair and that it normally fails again Do not buy this fridge or any samsung fridge. I'm a huge fan of samsung, but fridges is something they clearly can't do. There are many reviews here with the same issue.

I'm generally very happy with this fridge freezer but have a couple of niggles. On the plus side it looks good, seems to be of quality construction and I guess most importantly for a refrigeration product keeps its contents at the chosen temperatures. it is quite quiet in operation. The negatives are mainly ergonomic. The water dispenser nozzle is set a little too far forward so the water stream can miss small vessels - a problem compounded by the drip tray having limited capacity. The shelves are not adjustable for position either in the body of the fridge freezer or the doors. Also, with all the space available extra shelves could have been fitted in in both these locations. The doors need quite a tug to open - perhaps less powerful magnets could have been used? Overall a very nice product though and one I would recommend.

We use to have a very old freezer that we had to defrost monthly. We also had two fridges. We now have one appliance that holds more then our old three appliances put together. Plus the bonus of an ice maker. It’s the first time I have seen our 20 year old son get exited about an appliance. In fact we are all very pleased with it. You just need the space.

Just replaced our 20 year old Maytag fridge freezer with RS8000 model. Wondering what the point was of including plastic spare part to use if we don’t want to use the water dispenser - a critical feature required when making our choice - and another shelf -like plastic which fits nowhere. Would have preferred these two bits to be swapped for a wine rack or bottle holder as the Maytag had. Otherwise very happy.

The icemaker and water dispenser are great, but there is no way to use a filter so your drinks won't taste very nice. The only way to do it is to buy another tank with a filter and put that alongside the fridge tank and fill up the fridge tank when the other tank has filtered the water! So you have two tanks taking up a whole shelf in the fridge. Pretty stupid! I was on 'chat' with support for 90 minutes to establish this is the only way you can do it,

We bought this less than 6 months ago - and it is creating a lot of noise already! Plus the ice maker doesn't work very well. As soon as the weather is a bit warmer, there is hardly any ice. And we live in Holland which is hardly hot!!

Excellent quality, very easy to set up, even the water system was easy to install, we are very happy with the product and have indeed found that our perishables are lasting longer although the beer isn't lasting as long during this lock down ! If you're considering this fridge/freezer go for it. Excellent value and looks

This was our first American style fridge freezer and it didn't disappoint! First of all it looks great - the finish on the front isn't pure black like the sides but it's very servicable and doesn't show marks very easily. The inside is compact but at the same time spacious - we can now see everything inside instead of hunting for them. The trays on the fridge door are really big too, making even more stuff visible. The freezer is split into draws and shelves so you can keep lots of frozen stuff visible. The lighting is brilliant inside and the controls very easy to understand and operate. The ice-making and chilled water facility are excellent. I thought this may be a bit over the top for us but I use it most days. The fridge freezer really does keep foodstuffs cold! I would easily have given this appliance 5 stars if it wasn't for a one thing: Whilst the front of the appliance seems very durable the black sides seem quite vulnerable to accidental scratching. Would certainly still recommend this fridge freezer.

I have always rated Samsung fridges - my own and friends. I had one previous one, upgraded to another one with a house move, but it only lasted 10 years, so happily bought this one and hoping for many years of space, efficiency, ice cubes, frost-free operation. I love the dark colour that is nicer than a solid black which might be too imposing. All in I am thrilled with purchase and grateful to Curry's for getting it to me even duirng the pandemic crisis.

We replaced a 14 year old similar style fridge from another manufacturer. Whilst smaller outside this Samsung is much bigger inside - especially the freezer compartment as the ice maker is all in the door. Its also virtually silent - so much quieter than the old one and I love the minimalist design with the controls inside the door. The only negative is that the fridge filter is inline rather than integrated, just makes it a pain to install and replace, I guess there was no room to integrate it.

Great design and good quality. The capacity is much bigger than our previous Fridge Freezer. There are a few draws and lots of shelves, and the freezer so far has been frost free. The seal is good on the fridge and it maintains temperatures really well. We had to dismantle the doors to get the fridge into our property, however the manual provided some clear instructions on this and the hinges are quick release. You also have to fit a water filter using some supplied piping, this is simple because it is all push fit. Only issues we have found is that the crushed icemaker sometimes takes a while to provide the ice and the ices is not crushed as finely as we had expected. Also we have found that the product's drip tray is not quite sufficient to catch any excess ice bits that drop out after you have used the ice maker. Lastly it is a little difficult to get the bottom draw out in the fridge which we sometimes like to do when we are making salad or a fruit salad etc.

We have always wanted a large American fridge freezer so when we moved house we decided to buy one. Many months of looking and review checking for us as we didn’t want to rush into it. Although many are cheaper, they didn’t have the features of this Samsung one so the cost was more. However, knowing how long it will last, the enormous guarantee means we will have this for many years to come. We all love the ice and the water, we are drinking lots more water as a family now which is great. The space inside is great as we have had a small fridge previously. The freezer is great, seeing food clearly and not covered in frost / thick ice. We as a family love it.

Still early days, only had it for about a month however, this fridge freezer is really silent and can take a lot of shopping. Unlike the previous model we had about 14 years ago, which was quite noisy. However, the water dosen't appear to cool , I'm not sure why.

First off as a free standing fridge it is big and stands out a lot I think I under estimated this and would like to integrate it in the future. But the style is super slick modern, the quality is fantastic and man does it keep your food cold. Space is perfect and trust me there's plenty of it. The only negative thing to say is sometimes when using the ice and water despencer I tend to spill from time to time a bit of a drip tray could of eliminated this. but you do eventually get used it. Also if its the plumbed version I did originally receive information that this was an internal filter and its actually an external one. This is no fault on the product though. I absolutely love my American fridge or as my kids say America fridge. You know its a good product when a month later you still look forward to filling it and using it
