Samsung sponsored the Learning and Technology Zone

Nov 07. 2017

On 23rd November, Samsung took part in the Academies Show at Birmingham NEC, sponsoring the event’s Learning and Technology Zone and demonstrating our interactive screens to key decision makers in the education industry.

The Academies Show brought together education experts to give guidance and discuss important topics affecting schools and academies in the UK. It also offered attendees a great chance to explore new ways to bring More Good Days to their schools, with four distinct exhibitor zones and over 100 companies showcasing their products.

The event was attended by over 4500 educational professionals, including Head Teachers, Deputy Heads, School Business Managers, School Governors, Bursars and Heads of IT and Facilities, Central Government staff and solution providers.

Creating More Good Days in the Classroom

Our show stand featured our incredible Samsung 65” DME-BC Displays, which we used to show visitors how they can create a connected hub and captivate their classroom.

We worked closely with our app partners RM Easiteach and The Education App Store to show how our displays integrate with useful learning applications to help teachers create engaging lessons that students can easily follow.

One of the big benefits our interactive screens bring to schools is their ability to encourage effective classroom collaboration between students. We demonstrated how ideas can be shared and developed by multiple students and how pupils’ confidence can be built-up by using the screens to present work to the entire classroom.

Kevin McGlasson, Samsung’s Technical Strategy Manager for Interactive Solutions, gave a 30-minute seminar in the Technology and Learning Zone’s Open Theatre, explaining how our interactive screens help students work more creatively and captivate the classroom. He was joined by staff from Bolsover C of E Junior School, who spoke about how our screens brought More Good Days to their school and answered questions on how they integrated the screens into their classrooms.
