A great addition to anyone aspiring to be a content creator on mobile, you can record to this ssd as an external drive and then plug it into a pc without fuss and download all your files for editing. It brings a whole new dimension if paired with the following: Smallrig mobile cage,Anker 10000MaH powerbank with kickstand and the belkin connect usb-c to usb-c hub and connected together for all round great mobile video shooting. I made this as an experiment for a mobile video shooting rig for weddings,and it was all experimental. but it does work.

This is the worst Samsung product I’ve bought. It is so poorly designed and Samsung is well aware of that but chooses to do nothing to retain customers. The enclosure is flawed in its design and cannot maintain a connection between itself and the cable. The slightest movement will disconnect the SSD. It also takes several minutes for computers to recognise it. Do not waste your money on this terrible product. Samsung will laugh at you and then offer you a 15% discount to buy more of their faulty products. Embarrassing

this is the WORSE ever portable drive I ever had, it has 600+GB of data and yesterday when I plugged in it the windows said it require reformat but reformat will result in data lost, so I click no, then it said "The volume does not contain a recognized file system." and it doesn't work on Mac or on my Samsung phones, when I attempt to run Run CHKDSK it said 'Both copies of the boot information for this volume are corrupt. Chkdsk cannot continue. An error occurred while examining the boot region.' so I run Recuva and Samsung Magician to get my data recovered, so thank fully I got around 151.6GB out of 600+GB of my data back, but all the data can not be recovered at all (even sending to the data recover shop), so the internal of the SSD storage is faulty and will return it The reading and writing speed are 383 and 453MB/s respectively using USB3.2 gen2 cable and Thunder port vs the advertise speed of 1,050/1,000MB. The biggest joke is, I used this to back up my phone and laptop data in case the files are lost, but the file was lost first in the storage first. Also samsung online support doesn't account the loss of and data and even require my address for replacement, I will never use this model again. And also, I will purchase more HDDs and SSDs to ensure my file doesn't lost in any of the drive (and will purchase a 1TB phone to backup my file as well), also the samsung support try to give vouchers for future purchases for samsung, that is very disrespectful to my 400+GB of data that was permanently lost due to this drive. I will be reconsider my future purchases with samsung.

This is ready to write to immediately. (I skipped the security feature input) 1GB is not large these days but is sufficient for most cases. Good padding for protection if this is going to be rattling around in a case. I use it on Windows 10 and no issues when I played it back on another computer. Conclusion: and excellent back-up disk.

This fast drive is super easy to install on Mac & windows, is such a great size for travel and has a solid feel. I haven’t thrown it on the ground yet but confident it can take a bashing on my travels.
