I bought this phone about 3 weeks ago and while I initially thought it was a great phone I have come to be more than dissapointed. Upon researching the phone specs, there is no noticeable mention of the missing NFC technology. Who creates a phone in todays almost cashless society without the ability to leave the wallet and card behind and still make purchases. I loved the idea of the high quality camera with great megapixel specs. However, the phone only produces dull and dreary images, despite the lighting. What use is a high megapixel camera that cannot capture even close to the correct colours and contrast. I've been a long term Samsung lover, but this time I'm annoyed that I wasted money on this sub par smart phone.

The phone is ok. Incredibly disappointing after having had an S9 for a few years. The very poor sound quality in phone calls and video calls was the worst thing about it for me. A family member gave me their old s9 which is still half functional, which I use for calls, nfc, etc. I use the A05 for most of my apps and being online. I thought I would be safe buying a low end Samsung as all my past Samsung products have been excellent. Evidently cheap is cheap except for the odd low end reasonable spec item which needs research first (I had one of these unicorns years ago from another brand, probably why I thought this one might be ok).

If you use your phone for taking photos and then editing then this is NOT the phone for you. Samsung has ripped the good photo ending bits out. You can't create movies. The filters are poor. You get 3 basic lenses but no wide angle. I had an old S10 and it had a lot more punch than this cheap thing. This phone lacks fun in the camera/gallery and editing functions. I don't recommend it. Then to top it off, the speaker is rubbish so you spend most of your time saying "sorry, what?" when on a call. I hope this review helps others do more research than I did.

Purchased as a temp phone while my Z Flip 5 was supposed to be getting repaired under warranty. That never happened because Samsung refused to acknowledge a know fault with the hinge. Anyway, the A05S It's the single biggest piece of garbage I've ever encountered. 4G only, No NFC, so you can't tap to pay, absolute appalling video sound playback, says my WIFI password isn't correct, [it is btw], slowest response time I've ever encountered, takes ages to load absolutely everything & even scrolling is a nightmare. Taking a pic is painful. And to top everything off, it's so outdated, it won't connect to my UE Boom via Bluetooth. I'm quickly losing my will to live.

Absolute P0S, I bought this to replace my 5 year old A51 and the performance is woeful in comparison. I have had several times I have wanted to snap this thing in half, from missed photos due to extreme lag, 1-8 seconds to aux cord interference. Avoid this thing.

I thought this phone was great when I bought it but the longer I have had it the more features I realise it doesnt have. My 6 year old Samsung I replaced was capable of far more. No NFC which its superseded models have, no flash alert setting so you can see when messages come in and appalling sound quality for recorded videos. Very disappointed.

It's an okay phone I've only had it for a few months but I have noticed some things such as the screen is basically kind of like shaded in some spots and only four months after buying it the fingerprint scanner already broke. But it's an okay phone just don't get stuck with a broken one like I did.

The one thing I wanted in the phone was contactless payments and NFC. The samsung display in the store proudly boasted all the features including NFC. It does not support NFC therefore no tap to pay. How stupid to create a phone these days that doesn't support this basic function.

My previous phone was the S21 but not having the money to upgrade to S26 I stepped back into the A series Price was less than $200 from BigW & it seems to do everything I was able to on the S21 BUT for my Medtronic Heart Monitor transmission which is not compatible with the A05 series so now I need to keep my old phone charged & turned on in order to transmit my heart activity

This device was easy to set up and transfer account data and details from another non-Samsung android device. The camera is really good, taking crisp and clear photos. The large display, decent battery, and affordability re ideal for the older user. The limitations like lack of NFC and modest performance do not detract from the overall performance of this device.

Great first phone for the kids. Basic and simple. We looked at phones for the kids as a way to keep in contact for emergencies now there off to high school and this phone does the job. Its affordable too. The only thing I found is it doesnt come with a wall charger so will need to purchase that separately but overall very happy with the phone.
