I bought this phone about a week ago, emergency replacement before an exam. So far it has served me well with great battery life, bright screen, amazing speakers, powerful processing, and very nice cameras.
Although I do have some minor grievances. The lack of wireless charging capability is annoying as it was a feature I had on my old s8 (I had assumed it was standard). It's only annoying because now I need a cable in my car. Also the cameras lack of physical zoom, while not a deal breaker is annoying as it becomes grainy very fast with minor zooming.
Overall I love the phone and recommend it to anyone who finds the grievances stated as minor.

I haven't owned a Samsung since the original Galaxy S. Since then have very much been a Google Nexus and Pixel user. This phone was purchased because 1 it wasn't $1000+, and 2 that it got very good reviews online. It hasn't disappointed. Very easy to use, very fast at everything I regularly do with a phone. Important things for me in a phone are; screen, battery life, camera, and support. This phone is excellent in all of those categories except the camera. Don't get me wrong, it's a great basic camera but it's no Pixel, and I came from a 6 year old Pixel 2 XL! I give it 9/10 for a mid-range phone. Excellent value for money.

After many years battling my iPhones I jumped aboard the Samsung wagon - and I am so glad I did. For years my son has been telling me to get a Samsung but everyone said how hard it was to transfer your profile from Apple to Android. What rubbish! I am 67 years old and it is a breeze. You can used a hard cable or an app. It is simple and fast. And now I have a phone that is easy to use, simple and quite intuitive to use. No more iCloud storage charges for me. I am so happy with my A54 that we are going to the Opus shop next Monday to buy an A54 for my dear wife. Her iPhone is going to be a play toy for our grand-daughter.

I bought this phone upon release and it's quiet possibly the worst phone I have had.
This phone is slow, laggy I click on something or try to swap back to my other app and just waits and catches up 20 seconds later.
Even when typing I will type and it will freeze then write everything at once.
Camera is terrible I click to take a photo and then it takes it 6 seconds later so I end up missing out on the good shots if I want to take photos of my pet and kids.
Battery was good for 2 month and has not shot it self.
I'm hoping I just got a faulty one, but I am not happy with this.

I bought this product exactly 1 week prior to this review. I am thrilled with my phone however I am left with some regrets/issues. First off and a huge positive, this phone is indistinguishable from a flagship phone, I have not had a single performance issue and the camera is AMAZING!! my only issue is with the contactless payment. Out of the 5 places I have tried to pay for something, only ONE actually went through, my card/details were not the issue as I had to use the physical card to pay in leu of this issue. The screen and back are also SUPER high quality and the speakers are amazing! 9/10, would buy again!

I have upgraded from Galaxy A51. I have used A51 for 3 and half year without missing a beat. I was happy with it but, I wanted to upgrade and after doing research, I have settled on A54. Yes, there was other options such as Pixel and Oppo but, since I had such a good run with last phone, I was confident that A54 will also serve me well.
It is such an improvement from A51, definitely perform better, have better camera and battery life is better. I recommend it to be a good choice for mid range phone. Infact, I have bought another for my family member.

I bought this phone as a replacement for my 4 year old S series, and decided to go with a cheaper phone due to budget restraints. Blew my expectations away!. From processing speed to the bright display, performs far better than similar brands at this price point. And the camera is just as good (if not better) than the current S Series. Design looks modern, feels solid and matches any top level phone at the moment. Battery was my #1 concern when purchasing, however have found it to be lasting just as long as my old phone was at day 1. Would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a mid-level upgrade.

I previously owned the Samsung S20FE for a couple of years, it was fantastic, albeit a little expensive. This time around I didn't want to spend over $1000 bucks just for a phone, and decided to try the mid-range option, even though I've not had the best experience with mid-range options before. I bought the Samsung A54, and so far, so good. PROS are that it is reasonably priced, easy to use, life proof cases available, with many of the features I like from Samsung phones. CONS: battery does not seem to last as long as my previous phone. If it keeps running as reasonably well as it has started, I'm going to be a very happy camper.

I bought this phone in April this year. The phone was heavy. The finger recognition does not work most of the time.
The battery would not last for 2 days as promised unless you don't use them.
But last Friday morning, I could not restart my phone.
I went on this journey of "Repairing". There is no update until I called them 4 days later. The customer service girl said, currently the parts for the phone is not available and they don't know when i would be available.
I am not impressed by the phone at all.
Would not recommend any Sumsung product.

What a standout device for the price! Great screen, amazing camera, sweet UI and solid battery performance. Honestly the best mid range phone I've seen and used. Had an S20FE for about 3 Years and left OT on the roof of my car which fell off and another car squashed it. Compared the Samsung Phones and went with the A54 5G .
Well, I'm very impressed and pleasantly surprised with the phone. I don't feel like I'm missing out on features from the S20FE and everything I have asked of the A54 5G it has delivered without compromise. Would highly recommend this phone as your next phone upgrade. Have also included the extended warranty which I highly recommend.

I had used my previous phone, a Samsung Galaxy A7, for the last seven years, until it suddenly died. The operating system in this new phone has obviously had lots of additions and options. So it takes time to work through them all, and I still come across some surprises. The apps and configs were transferred to the new phone, but not the arrangement on the various screens. All in all, a very positive upgrade.

I bought this 2 months ago and i am soo happy with this product Samsung really hit it out of the ballpark. The camera module of the phone is excellent! I especially love the macro feature and have taken some amazing pictures! I will definitely recommend this phone to my family and friends! The custamability of this phone is a great plus for example i can changed the wallpaper to whatever i want like a photo of my bestie. The performance is quite good but it can get a bit warm at times but all around a great phone for the price. I love Samsung!!!

Very disappointed with this phone. Did my research and read online reviews comparing phones and specs and settled on the A54 5G. Once I had bought the phone I discovered the Australian model is a lower spec to overseas models, and I had been reading reviews written by people who tested the overseas model. A real con from Samsung. Do not buy this phone if you live in Australia.

My old Galaxy S9 died after many years of reliable service, because the charging was only by wireless thanks to the charge point entry failing and the final crunch was when the sim card tray broke. So I was a bit taken aback to discover the A54 does not support wireless charging which has the potential to dramatically shorten its service life. Nor does it have the option for a micro sd card although the S models don't now either. In addition the camera is not as good or sharp as the S9 and it never takes photo files larger than about 3mB. Compared to the claim of up to 50 mB camera, this is very disappointing. I would be happier if someone could explain why this isn't false advertising.
However the phone itself is very good, battery life very good and the photos do look nice and the in-phone editing is excellent.

Just bought this last week to replace my extremely old Samsung S7. For the price i was expecting a mid tier phone with good capabilities but not something that felt like a brick in my hands. The A 54, however, exceeded my expectations. This phone so far is extremely capable of handling my day to day activities, and I highlight the battery life for being reliable. (Unlike my last phone…) Took a 20 min video at the World Cup and it worked like a charm too! The camera was alright, but then again you can expected a world class phone for $699.

I bought the phone at a good price due to EOFY sales. Pleased with the responsiveness of the phone compared to my old S8+ Also the display is fantastic. Battery life seems to be much improved as well, with fast charging support (about 1 hour from near empty to fully charged).
Using Samsung SmartSwitch it was a breeze to transfer from my old to new phone.
The only disappointing thing is that you need to pay extra for the 25W charger. Also note that the included cable in the unit (even graphite) is WHITE. So either buy the WHITE adaptor or spend more on a black cable suitable for fast-charging.

This is a good smart phone for the price - it does everything the usual person needs and more. I love how it has expandable storage too, because I’m not too keen on the Cloud. Good size screen, camera is good, nice and smooth system. I like how you can get the phone in purple or green, instead of just black - I’m from Australia and it gets very hot here. The black attracts heat. I was very happy when I was able to wirelessly transfer like 90gb of images from my iPhone 11 to the A54 using the Smart Switch app. I’m happy with my new A54.

I purchased this phone from Samsung on line on Friday 18 / 08 / 2023.
It was delivered to my home on Tuesday 22/08/2023 when i started to set it up a couple of days later i found in the information in the phone the claim that it was a REFURBISED phone due to manufacturing date not matching with serial number.
Also the Knox warranty is void.
It also states IMEI and Android serial number N/A on android 10+.
As i was under the impression i was purchasing a new phone could someone please let me know what all of this means ?

This is the worst mobile phone I have ever had. I Bought it yesterday and it's extremely slow. I click on something and it takes up to 10 seconds to catch up. I called the customer service and they have done remote diagnosis and they said everything is ok

Bought the phone 10 days ago, been using it since. For someone who uses my phone for browsing internet, social media, phone/text, photos, YouTube listening use and the basics, I was glad I didn't need to spend 3 times more for the top model. This phone does all I need for such a good price. The only downside (so far) is the One UI Home seems to drain the battery in the background. This is using the latest version of the keyboard update as well, so it's not the pre-2023 issue. Switching from iPhone, took a few days to get used to but very customizable to what I was used to. The disappointing thing is there's no silent mode switch on the side... something that's so simple that Samsung could have done!

I needed to upgrade my phone and ended up buying the A54. It has enough features to be a good phone, the screen size is good, it runs smoothly, the battery is excellent, at the moment I only need to fully charge it and it will last me a good 3 days before I need to charge again.
I found it runs smoothly, even with my apps added on it - I also note this model allows a SD card up to 1TB where as the higher range phones do not have this feature and as the phone updates alot, it takes up room and these apps come with the phone and can't be removed or disabled.
I don't think the phone is worth $699.00 - I actually waited for a sale before purchasing, but each to their own.
One thing that bugs me - Samsung decided not to include the wall charger with the phone, only a USB cable which takes longer to charge the phone. and evidently it is not only this phone, they have excluded the wall charger for their ultra range as well.
Samsung - you are charging $600-$2000 for your mid to high range mobile phones, add the wall charger in it, stop being so greedy. Yes we don't have to buy your products, something I will keep in mind come the next time I need to upgrade in a couple of years time.
People reading reviews - this is a great phone and I'm not really a phone person, just annoyed Samsung decided to not include the wall charger and charge extra for it.

Samsungs website clearly states that the A54 has support for a microSD card but the phone has no SD card slot. This is either a major error on their website or plain false advertising.

Upgraded from an old iPhone and I gotta say the display on this phone is amazing. Samsung are always blowing it out of the water with their display tech even on the mid-range. OneUI is as fluid as ever even on the Exynos 1380, it is able to play a quick round or Call of Duty Mobile (keep in mind the settings might need to be dialed down abit).
Very happy to be able to get 4 years of Andoid updates and 5 years of security patches which really future proofs the device. I cannot see myself having to get a flagship ever again if this is the sort of package you can get at the mid-tier.

I bought this phone a week ago. I did a fair amount of research, as it was a bit more expensive than I had originally planned. I was initially excited, as the fingerprint security was innovative, I was happy to finally have a phone with a working NFC feature, and I can use some apps that were too taxing on my previous phone.
However, I was dismayed to see that I had to buy a charger separately (I chose the $69 Samsung charger from JB Hi-Fi to ensure as little battery issues as possible) and that I couldn't use my wired earphones as the A54 doesn't have an earphone jack. (I chose the $25 wireless earbuds from Kmart). I'm also told this phone is incompatible with wireless charging, though I've not tested that. Other than these expensive inconveniences, I'm very happy with this phone.

Being a chippy I'm in extremely dusty jobsites all day and having a great seal for dust has been great. The screen is a good size and very responsive, with the camera being a stand out feature.

Bought the A54 5G a couple of weeks ago, great phone, love the speed. Only a 4 star rating as I was disappointed that I cannot plug speakers or head phones in without having to buy an adapter.

Upgraded from my A8 to this model A54(A8 was still going strong but 5 years old). Used Smartswitch app and set up was easy and quick, Just follow the instructions put in the SIM and SD Card from old phone when prompted and everything ends up in the right place. Great predictive txt,promts,and spell check. I have been using it for 6 weeks now and love the upgraded features and settings as I have a disability and makes my life easier to manage. Great phone at a great price.

Most of Mobile life has been fruity.a few black🫐🫐 and several🍎🍎's, even had a 🪟' phone. Got onto the Android platform 7 years ago, never looked back... 3 years ago I got my first Samsung, an A72. Purchase complete and a week in, I am blown away! At every turn I am finding either a new feature with the UI or a refinement to the phone making it feel more solid and capable.
The new smart view case feels modern and functional thanks to the well placed viewing window that offers unhindered use of the camera. I love the A54.. highly recommended.. oh! The included magic eraser feature was a satisfying and welcoming surprise

I’ve been using apple for so many years now that I thought changing to a Samsung would be hard, but it’s fairly similar to use as apple but I will admit I’m finding better features and options on my new Samsung. I was also pleasantly surprised that I could transfer from my old iPhone to my new Samsung when setting up just like you can when you get a new iPhone.
Camera is amazing and I can do so much more with the photos! And the battery lasts long and charges quicker than my current iPhone.
I don’t think I’ll be going back to apple after trying this phone.

I bought this phone as it seemed to have everything that I need and more. Sure enough, it does and it has so many options with 3 cameras and it is smooth and streamlined in the way it works, it's just so outstanding and at a price that is total value for money. I just got my new Samsung A54, after saying bye bye to my old I-Phone. I absolutely love the OS of this new Samsung and the freedom it offers compared to the old system. Very importantly for me, the camera on the A54 is amazing! the clarity and ease of use is several levels above what I had been using. I really can't put this new A54 down. My wife also loves the extra features and is now angling to make the same change! Five stars!

I've had this phone for only a week now but it was so easy & extremely quick to transfer my old phone info & accounts & passwords etc. over to the new one at the touch of a button and the connection of a cable.
So user friendly and is extremely easy to operate.
The way in which the phone operates & how sensitive it is to actions is extremely impressive.

So far the phone is doing all I expect easily.
The camera lenses on the back annoy me a little by protruding and so it doesn't sit flat on a surface. Doesn't have to be a problem but still, I stress over the lens glass being damaged. That happened to my a51 within a couple of weeks so I might be edgy about that.
Ordered a cover to sort that concern though.
Lovely clear screen, great sound and feel.
Seems tough.
Good size.
I'm really content with it.
Here's to it living for the years ahead.
Longevity is my ultimate gauge to a phone's worth.

I’m not tech savvy so I asked the young man at the shop for his recommendation in my price range and he suggested the Samsung A54 and after a couple of weeks of use I couldn’t be happier. It does everything I need and more, performs extremely well and has great battery life. It also makes me look a bit cooler to my kids and has removed the expletives from my vocabulary that I was driven to by my previous phone.

I bought this as an upgrade from a hand me down S8 I've had for a while. First new phone I've had in a long time. Great features, pretty easy swap over from another Samsung product, as having gone from an IPhone 6 to the S8 the comparison in changeovers was remarkably better going Samsung to Samsung. Really enjoy some of the new features & the camera on this is amazing. So far really happy with my purchase.

I dropped my last phone in the toilet! so sad BUT I got to buy this new phone which is both expensive, painful and exciting, the A54 was really affordable compared to most others, it is easy to use and has all the features I need and quite a few I wasn't expecting. I LOVE IT so if you are looking for a new phone and don't want to spend or don't haves thousands, get this option, you won't regret it.

Ive only have my A54 for a few weeks but im already loving it. The camera is crisp and the battery life is so good. Im a fairly heavy user, and it stayed charged easily all day and into the next day if I dont charge it.

I bought this phone two weeks ago, after having a Galaxy S20 FE. I'm impressed with most of the features of the A54 , especially being from the less expensive range than what I am used to. The only major issue I've noticed is the sometimes huge lag in the time it takes between pressing the button and the actual photo being taken, which is not ideal when taking photos of toddlers! I understand that this mainly happens in 'low light' although the light isn't always actually that low for it to be affected. The S20 FE was able to handle different lighting a lot more effectively.
Every other aspect of the phone has been great so far. I would definitely suggest purchasing a phone case straight away, as the phone is very smooth and slippery to hold.

I recently decided to upgrade my Galaxy Note 8, however the new S series were beyond my price range, so I decided to look at the new A54 5G. It's features are better than some on the lower end S series and it certainly has everything that I need in a mobile. Large display, expandable storage, great battery life, good cameras. IMO this is a great value phone that I would recommend to anyone.

This phone has everything I need in a good smart phone. It's fast the battery last a long time, though using it as a hotspot does drain it faster, but I thought it would anyway. Very happy.
Only Con I have is the facial recognition, it's bad, real bad. I have cleared cache like 10 times rescanned my face works one or two times then can recognize my face. I just don't understand how this got past quality assurance. After searching online there are 1000,s upon 1000's of complaints just about this one feature on Samsung phones. Please fix.

I bought this to replace my Galaxy S10 Lite and it's all the phone I need. Mine is purple, it's a beautiful colour.
The 120hz is an incredible feature on a midrange phone and the 5000mAh battery is great for peace of mind. The camera is strong and I believe the same one as the S23 flagship which is great. Shame it lacks wireless charging but it's a minor complaint.

After previously purchasing S series phones which I never used to their potential, I thought I'd try something more budget friendly but still had decent specs as I like to take a few too many photos/videos. Images are definitely more vibrant and videos are way clearer and stable and I just love that I can put my SD card from my old phone in this and keep all those memories on hand. I'm also loving the longer battery life, I no longer have to start charging my phone in the afternoon. Transferring the apps and data from my old phone was super simple and the tips were super helpful with the phone set up. I have noticed at times I am a little too quick (or you could say impatient) when trying to navigate from different apps to web pages and back and forth again for the phone and it can take a second for it to catch up but it's my only complaint so far.
All in all it's a quality phone with great features for a great price!

Having previously owned a Samsung Note and a S20 and S21 ... I decided to purchase the A54. This was mainly due to the excellent reviews. AND ... I must say that I am not disappointed. When my old Galaxy S5 became tired (yes, it lasted until now), I checked reviews of recent Samsung offerings and decided the A54 included all the features need, mainly a phone and camera. The new phone has lots of clever features, most of which are turned off. But I do like the fingerprint sensor and the long battery life. Overall a good experience.

Been an S series user since S7 Edge, the A54 5g is an excellent budget friendly performer.
Great solid feel, glass surface is comfortable, finger print in screen is really fast , also works directly from black locked screen.
Love the mauve/ violet colour too.
Cameras perform very well, with good low light photography.
Screen is crisp and defined whether be Web or vid.
Battery life is great, never flat at bedtime unless been scrolling insta reels all day ;-)

What can I say, from the moment I opened the box I was impressed with firstly the colour, its solid build and particularly the beautiful glossy finish.
So easy to set up 5G performance is amazingly quick, camera quality performance is great,and the 120Hz display is vibrant and bright. It really compares with the flagship phones like the S23 at a fantastic cheap price.
A really decent phone with a magnificent battery life of 2 to 3 days, and a guarantee software updates for 5 years, that's got to be good.
A really perfect price fit, IP67 rating, fantastic stereo sounding speakers,all buyers considering buying this phone will not be disappointed.
I also took advantage of the promotion that came with it and received a Galaxy Watch 4 which was a bonus.
Lastly I just bought the Smart Wallet Case that compliments the A54 which keeps a small display windows at the corner of your screen so that you can access your device without opening the cover, a must buy not only to protect the A54 but makes it so easy to use.
I rate this phone 10 out of 10.

I just switched from IOS to Android for the first time ever... and I wish I did it years ago. I love the functionality and seamless interfacing with other devices. The only downside (,may be a setting to reduce this that I've not yet discovered) is that Google's mission to forever remain the dominant player for all things Android is that this as well as the in App ads is overly intrusive. I'm sure I'll be able to fix this issue. Other than that I love my phone so thank you samsung and Android!

I bought this phone and have been using it for a while. Transferring data from my old phone was really easy and straightforward and I got all my data like contacts and other things. I love how easy it is to navigate this phone since I used android before. The phone runs very smoothly and overall build quality feels sturdy and good compared to my old phone. The battery is great with around 9-10 hours of use non stop, also there are many things that help optimize battery life and range. The cameras are really good, a huge upgrade but are obviously not the best as this is a mid range phone. Really big display which is great for movies and gamers. It looks great! Looks like an s23 but has a glass back. Things to improve on. Can't get the same custom ability as my old phone e.g, icons and widgets, and also the glass back is really slippery when you first open it, almost dropped before I got a case. (Little things) Overall great phone, definitely would recommend as a cheaper alternative to the S23 and other more expensive phones as it pack a lot with the great price.

I got this for my birthday as I needed to upgrade from my A7 and it hasn't let me down yet, set up didn't take as long as I thought couple of hours with no WiFi, though when cable connected to both phones A7 pinches battery charge? And didn't do complete transfer when setting up A54. screen display quality is great, love the tap on screen to wake up phone, fingers scan recognises instantly even if you scan upside-down, general use so far has been great depending on some apps used will take my battery life, love it when it tells me how long left to charge. Another colour option would of been nice and price could of been better if phone is expected to last 3 years but if it lasts longer than that I suppose it's worth it. The only thing I can say negative is there's no bass with music but sound quality is great and clear, and keyboard I'm getting used too, letter and number boxes have shrunk. And should of came with wired earphones! But I did my research and compared with other models and I'm happy so far with my decision on this model. Yes I do recommend this phone.

I brought this as a iPhone user I had a se 2020 but the downside was the battery small screen and ugly design I wanted a new phone until I saw the a54 and I got it and to be honest it’s the best looking phone I have ever gotten if you shown this to someone they assume you got the s23 plus since it looks exactly like it Samsung has done a wonderful job with design and the best part is the expandable storage meaning I will never have to worry about storage unlike apple you need to pay a monthly subscription I love the fact Samsung put usb c my switch and laptops are usb c it makes it much convenient I love the big 6.4 inch screen since it’s a budget phone it won’t be perfect it does have a noticeable bezels but it doesn’t affect me and the battery is amazing 5000mah battery is big compared my iPhone which was 1800 the battery lasted 1 day with extensive use but for me it lasted two and a half days I mean Samsung has done a great job I am soo happy with it I don’t regret it it’s a 9.8/10 it would be a 10/10 if there was a headphone jack but worth it for what the price gives

For the price, it's really good. 120hz display is fluid, the battery will easily last a day with average use, build quality feels premium since the edge is metal and the back panel is glass as well.
My only complaint is that after unlocking the screen the framerate drops dramatically and stutters a lot and then goes away after a few seconds. I believe is an optimization issue that should be fixed with a software update and isn't a problem with the phone itself.

Wow, Im in love with this new phone. I don't know or understand all the Spec talk. Be kind I'm 75 years old please All I can tell you is that the A4 has made me one happy customer. Even my husband likes it a
lot.The screen size is perfect , so easy to work with. Battery last a long time before recharging. I can use finger or either pin code. Its great. I only wish that a wall charger should have been included. Price point is excellent for this fabulous Galaxy A4. Love it!

Good phone for price. Camera is Good. Screen is good.
Glastic back is a strange choice and lowers repairability considerably from the older A series phones.

Good feature set otherwise and decently weighted etc.
Alright processor for money.
Only 6GB of RAM which is OK but not great.
Allround OK so only get if you are getting a deal with a watch or a discount. Instead could go for a similarly priced pixel with a much better camera for example.

Just received this product a couple weeks ago and I love it so much. Such an easy phone to use, and the camera is far nicer then my old galaxy A31. Was worried since it was on the cheaper side for a phone that the quality wouldn't be good, but the phone runs very smoothly and efficiently, and quickly too. I got it in the lilac colour which was different for me as I always prefer black. But I love how it's really subtle and not super purple like I thought it might be.
