How to install a Samsung side by side refrigerator

It is important to place your refrigerator to the proper location for product efficiency. Also, it may happen to detach or reverse the door of your refrigerator for moving, repairing, or else. Follow the installation video for Samsung side by side refrigerator below. If you require more information, please consult your user manual or contact an authorised service centre.
When installing, it is recommended to place the refrigerator close to the location where you would like to set and use. Take extra care not to scratch the floor or side walls when you are moving the refrigerator.
For safety reasons, it is also highly recommended for two or more people to handle the procedure.
Note:
- The refrigerator designs shown in this video may differ from the type and model you have.
- Certain features will also depend on whether the refrigerator has an in-built water dispenser and/or automatic ice maker.
- Please read thoroughly all the important warnings and safety instructions written in the user manual.
- Be careful not to injure yourself during procedure.
- Where possible, and by law, an electrical safety test should be conducted prior to powering it on.
Correct installation location
1. Solid, level surface with no carpet.
2. Good ventilated location.
3. Adequate location allowing for opening and closing the doors.
Incorrect installation location
1. Humid location.
2. Near heat source.
3. Location affected by direct sunlight.
Note: Recommended room temperature range is between 5 °C and 43 °C.
Allowing sufficient space
1. Allow for a minimum of 10cm space on both sides (left and right) of the refrigerator to be installed.
2. Allow for a minimum of 5cm of free space above the top of refrigerator to be installed.
3. More space is required than the actual size of the refrigerator to operate the doors.
4. Check size, type and model of your refrigerator.
5. Allow at least a minimum of 5cm of free space from the wall to back of the refrigerator.

Note: The measurements may differ depending on the measuring method is used.
Note:
- For safety reasons, it is highly recommended for two or more people to handle any work required during the installation procedure.
- There is a danger the doors may fall off or over and get damaged during any of these steps.
- To prevent accidents, exercise extreme caution when performing these steps.
Required Tools (Not provided)
1. Philips screwdriver
2. Flat-blade screwdriver
3. Socket wrench (10 mm)
4. Allen wrench (4 mm / 5 mm)
5. Electric drill
Note: Tools are not provided with the refrigerator.
To prevent floor damage
1. For safety reasons it is recommended for two or more people to handle any work required during the installation procedure.
2. To prevent floor damage, it is recommended to protect the floor before any work is carried out (rug or towel, box, etc.).
Disconnect the water supply line
1. From the bottom rear side of the refrigerator, pull out the water line to the front.
2. To disconnect the hoses, press and hold the transparent coupler (A) and detach the water hose (B).
Note:
- Do NOT apply excessive force on the coupler - it may break.
- Water line location may differ depending on the type of model you have.
- Water line only applicable for side-by-side fridges that have a built-in water dispenser and/or automatic ice maker.
Unscrew the hinge covers and remove the hinges
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the hinge covers (A) on the top of the left door.
2. Open the doors to loosen the hinges and remove the hinge covers. Once the covers are removed, close the doors.
3. Disconnect the electrical harness.
4. Unscrew the hinge screws (B) counter clockwise, and remove the upper hinge (C). Be careful as the door can fall on you, causing physical injury.
5. Remove the hinges (C) on both sides
6. Gently lift up the doors one by one to remove. Use caution as the door may fall off or over.

- For safety reasons it is highly recommended for two or more people to handle any work required during the installation procedure.
Note: Take extra care to not injure yourself during procedure.
Reassemble the doors:
1. Insert the hinge (A) into the hinge slot.
2. Insert the upper hinge shaft (B) into the hinge hole (C). Make sure the hinge shaft is straight so that all screw holes are fully revealed. Then, tighten the hinge screws (D) clockwise.
3. Connect the electrical harness.
4. Insert the hinge covers with the front sides first, and then tighten the screws. Use a Phillips screwdriver for this step.
Attach the Spacer
1. Open the door and locate the provided spacer.
2. Unpack the spacer and attach it to the rear of the refrigerator as shown.
Note: Attach the spacer for applicable models only.
Moving a refrigerator may cause damage to the floor. Use of a rug or box on the floor is recommended to prevent damage. It is recommended for two or more people to carry a refrigerator holding both sides.
Levelling
Place a level on the top of the refrigerator and check the levelling. If the level is incorrect, you can refer to our "Levelling the Refrigerator" page for further instructions.

Adjust the door height as well as the door gap
Depending on the model of your refrigerator, you may also use snap rings to adjust the height of your fridge doors. If snap rings are not applicable for your refrigerator, please check the steps below:
1. Open the door to adjust, and locate the two nuts (A) and (B) on the front bottom of the door.
2. With a 19 mm spanner (not provided), turn the clamp nut (A) clockwise to loosen. Then, open the door, and do the following inside the door.
- To raise the door, turn the height nut (B) counter clockwise.
- To lower the door, turn the height nut (B) clockwise.
3. When complete, tighten the clamp nut (A) by turning it counter clockwise.
Note: Where possible, and by law, an electrical safety test should be conducted prior to powering it on.
Press the button of the temperature control panel to check the operation. Open the doors to check the interior lights up.
Note: For optimum refrigerator performance, it is recommended to run the refrigerator for 1hr at the lowest settings before selecting your desired temperature settings.
