Using Media & Devices Panel on my Samsung device

Want to control the volume of your connected Bluetooth speaker or control your SmartThings devices directly from your Quick Panel? Simply setup the Media & Devices Panel on your Galaxy phone or tablet to conveniently manage your connected devices.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary.

Prior to following the below steps ensure that you have Paired a Bluetooth device to my Samsung Phone to be able to use the Media function, if you would like to control your devices ensure you have correctly connected via SmartThings. Media

1 Swipe down on your screen to access your Quick Panel and tap on Media

2 Tap on Next

3 Allow the following popup permissions

4 Select a connected Bluetooth speaker to start playing music from

Let nearby friends play music on your connected Bluetooth speaker using Music Share.

Use Smart View to mirror your phone's screen or play content

. Control the Volume level of your mobile device and any connected Bluetooth devices.

5 If you have multiple Bluetooth speakers connected to your Galaxy phone, you will be able to control the volume and music coming from both speakers.

You are only able to connect a max. of 2 Bluetooth speakers at a time.

Devices

1 Swipe down on your screen to access your Quick Panel and tap on Devices

2 Tap on Next

3 Choose which devices and scenes you want to access from the Quick Panel then tap on Done.

4 Select a connected product you would like to control via SmartThings

Smart View

1 Swipe down on your screen to access your Quick Panel and tap on Media

2 Tap on

3 Select a device below to mirror your phone's screen

3 Read hrough the pop up messsage then tap on Start now

4 Once connected you will be able to view your phone screen from your Samsung TV or other connected product. To disconnect from Smart View simply tap on > Disconnect

Not too sure if your device supports Smart View? Simply tap on > Help > scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select View supported devices.
