Sharing Contacts via QR Code on my Samsung Phone

Want to quickly share saved contacts between your friends and family without having to manually enter in the contact information? So long as your Galaxy device is operating on Android OS Version 9.0 (Pie) and above, you can simply share contact information via a QR Code. Follow the below guide for stp-by-step instructions. 

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. You are ONLY able to share contact details via QR Code with Galaxy devices operating on Android OS Version 9.0 (Pie) and above.

Sharing Contacts via QR Code

1 Head into the Contact icon Contact app
tap on contact
2 Select a contact you would like to share then tap on QR Code icon QR Code
Select a contact you would like to share then tap on the QR Code at the bottom of the screen
3 A unqiue QR Code will be generated on your screen that the receiving device can scan.

Scanning QR Codes

1 Tap on QR Code icon QR Code
Tap on QR Code icon
2 Select Allow
Select Allow
3 Position a contact's QR code in the centre of the square to add them
Position a contact's QR code in the centre of the square to add them
4 Select where you would like to save your new contact
Select where you would like to contact saved
5 Tap on Save once complete
Tap on save once complete
