How do I Video Call on my Galaxy S26?

When you are away from your friends or family and talking on the phone just isn’t enough, you can see them face to face using video calls on your Galaxy phone. It has a number of video calls services already available, or you can use one of the many other options or apps that are out there. You may not be seeing your loved ones in person, but it's the next best thing since you'll be able to see them in real time.

Note: These steps apply to video calls between compatible Android devices. To video call an iPhone user, they will need to join via a Google Meet link or use an alternative video calling app.

1 Open the Contacts app
Open Contact app
2 Select a contact you would like to Video Call

3 Tap on video call icon Video Call
Tap on video call
4 Once the recipient has answered your video call you will be able to use the on-screen controls to mute your microphone, switch camera, turn your video on or off and end the call

Turn off video icon Turn Video On/Off - Tap to turn your camera on or off.

microphone icon Microphone - Tap to mute and unmute your microphone.

emoji icon Effects/Filters - Tap to add fun filters, effects and background.

3 dots icon More Options - Tap to access additional options such as Screen Share, Captions, Settings and more.

End Call icon End Call - Tap to end the Video Call.

Video Effects icon Video Effects - Tap to enter video effects, filters or background options.

Flip Camera icon Flip Camera - Tap to switch from front to rear camera.

5 To end the video call, tap on the End Call button
