Activate Energy Saving Mode on a Samsung TV.

The Energy Saving function allows you to adjust the brightness of your TV to reduce power consumption. It can also help to reduce eye fatigue especially in a dim and dark room. This feature is available in Eco Solution option of your Samsung Smart TV. Energy Saving feature provides several options that you can customise to suit your needs.


There are four settings in this feature, as follows: 


Off: Turns off the Energy Saving feature. This provides the brightest picture, but there is no reduction in power consumption. 


Low: Slightly reduces the screen brightness. Use this setting when TV is in slightly dim room. 


Medium: Significantly reduces the screen brightness. Use this setting when the TV is in a moderately lit room. 


High: Greatly reduces the screen brightness. Use this setting when TV is in dark room. 


Please note:


●   As the energy saving feature adjusts between high and low, the image may appear to flicker as it adjusts for the incoming brightness of the picture. if the flickering interferes with viewing, you may change into a different setting.


●   Depending on the model of your television the below screenshots may appear differently, however, the steps to select/unselect Energy Saving is still the same.

Follow the steps below to set the Energy Saving function on your television:

1 Turn the TV ON and then press the Menu button on the remote control to bring up Eden at the bottom of the screen and then select Settings .

2 Use the navigation keys on your remote control to select General on the menu sidebar and press Enter.

3 Scroll down on the list and select Eco Solution and press Enter.

4 Select Energy Saving followed by one of your preferred options.

5 Press the EXIT button on the remote control to close the menu.
