Wireless Music Streaming and Voice Assistant with the Music Studio

Streaming music on your Music Studio is quick and flexible, with a few different ways to play your favourite tracks without plugging anything in. Not only can you play music from your compatible smartphone, you can use voice assistant, where you can control with your voice by using the built-in Alexa* feature or connecting to a Google Home device**. In addition, stream directly through Google Chromecast** or Apple AirPlay***, making it easy to cast music from your favourite apps straight to speaker. Follow the guide below for more information.  

 Note:

  • Ensure the Music Studio has been registered to the Samsung Sound app.
1 Open the Samsung Sound app on your smartphone.

2 On the home page, select the paired Music Studio.

3 Tap on 'Ready to connect' button.

4 Tap on 'This Phone' from the sound source list.

5 Once selected, play audio from your prefer music app on the smartphone and the audio will come through the Music Studio.

 Note:

  • Ensure the Music Studio has been registered to the SmartThings app.
1 Open the SmartThings app on your smartphone.

2 On the home page, select the paired Music Studio.

2 Tap on 'Sound Source' button.

3 Tap on 'This Phone' from the sound source list.

4 Once selected, play audio from your prefer music app on the smartphone and the audio will come through the Music Studio.

 Note:

  • This feature requires an Amazon account and the Amazon Alexa app. 
  • Ensure the Music Studio has been registered to the Samsung Sound app.
  • Make sure the Music Studio is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. 
1 On the home page of the Samsung Sound app, select the paired Music Studio.

2 Scroll down and tap on 'Alexa'.

3 Tap on 'Amazon Alexa' and log into Amazon account.

4 After logging in, tap on 'Link to Amazon Alexa'.

5 You will be redirected to the Amazon Alexa app. Follow the instructions to register the Music Studio to the Amazon Alexa.
6 After registration, you can control and play audio on the Music Studio with your voice through the Amazon Alexa.

 Note:

  • This feature requires a Google account and the Google Home app.
  • Ensure the Music Studio has been registered to the Samsung Sound app.
  • Make sure the Music Studio is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device. 
1 On the home page of the Samsung Sound app, select the paired Music Studio.

2 Scroll down and tap on 'Google Cast'.

3 Tap on 'Enable casting'.

4 On the Google Home app, add and register the Music Studio.
5 After registration, you can control and play audio on the Music Studio with your voice through Google Home.

 Note:

  • Ensure the Music Studio has been registered to the Samsung Sound app.
  • Make sure the Music Studio is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.

2 Scroll down and tap on 'Google Cast'.

3 Tap on 'Enable casting'.

4 Select from a Google Chromecast-supported app on your smartphone, tablets or laptops.
5 Select the Music Studio from the list of available devices to play the current audio to.

 Note:

  • This feature may not be available in some countries. 
  • To use AirPlay with your Samsung Music Studio, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended. 
  • To enable Music Studio in your WiFi Speaker, you must first register the device with the Samsung Sound app by agreeing with the app’s terms and conditions. 
  • Make sure the Music Studio is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple device. 
1 Select from an AirPlay-supported app or Control Centre on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
2 Select the Music Studio from the list of available devices to play the current audio to.
