Samsung TV Changes Settings Automatically

Last modified : Dec 03. 2019

There is a viewing mode on your Samsung TV called Retail Mode. When this mode is selected, any changes to the picture and sound will revert back to its original factory settings after 30 minutes. For your TV to function normally, you will need to change to Home Mode. Any changes made to your TV while in this mode will remain.

If you find that your TV is in Retail Mode, follow the instructions below to change to Home Mode.

1 Press the Home button on your Samsung remote control and select Settings .

Please note: Depending on the model of your television the above image may vary, however, the steps to change to Use Mode is still the same.

Other troubleshooting tips you may want to try is turning off Intelligent Mode if you have it turned on. Having Intelligent Mode activated will reset any changes you have manually made to the picture and sound.

The other option is to reset your TV. Click on the link for instructions on resetting your Samsung TV.
