So I went away for 4 days, came back home, turned on the TV and it's not working. Some random image on the screen showing the TV and the OneConnect box and asking me to remove the OneConnect cable and power cord from the box and reinsert it. Didn't work. Chat to Samsung guy for 30 mins. He didn't know what the screen image meant. In the end he guesses that the cable is dead. Why, when the TV hasn't been on for 4 days.....who knows. So, I'm recommended a technician....they say $120 call out fee plus labour and parts....this is what Samsung recommended to me? .....and so if it's the cable plus labour plus call out....I'm, what, $500 out of pocket? Whilst the OneConnect is a great concept, clearly it's been poorly executed and it's even more poorly supported. TV I really liked become a disgrace in minutes. Terrible experience and now I agree with other posters....terrible product.

I have Samsung Q 2017. I thought it was an excellent brand but after having an issue every 18 months I think it’s best to try a different brand. I have replaced the thin cable for the second time and it’s not even being touched. How can it brake without touching? And the cost to replace it it’s ridiculous. Not a happy costumer.

I’ve had a frame TV for less then 18 months and the ‘clear cable’ which connects the TV to the one connect box randomly split whilst sitting behind the tv unit. The cable hasn’t even been touched. Now our TV doesn’t work and Samsung customer service has been appalling. Will never buy Samsung again. i don’t want to have to pay over $200 for a new cable every 6-18 months. I’ve seen similar reviews with the same issue of the cable randomly splitting. Whatever you do don’t buy these TV’s or cables.

The TV cost me $2k I've now replaced the 15m clear cable twice. The cable is incredibly thin and flimsy. Easy to break, expensive to replace and such an annoyance to have to buy the 15m clear cable connection at such a huge cost. **Samsung please design a substitute cable ASAP that will last.""

I love the brand and tv that I have, but this cable is literally the worst cable ever made. I've been a loyal customer for a year and a half and I will never recommend any TV with a connect one box and cable, absolute waste of money.

Like others, I've had a frame tv for about two years and the ‘clear cable’ which connects the TV to the one connect box has split so the TV doesn't work. Given the complaints about this cable is there anything more robust now available? Happy to give up the need for it to be clear just as long as it works.

Such a small single cable, do be careful as with all optical cables they are fragile. Install well and read the instructions then you will have no issues. Will then do amazing things. 8K HDMI leads 3Meter and limits installs, 4K HDMI leads 10 meters that also still limits install, This a staggering 15 meter. GREAT and can be run next to electrical cables as magnetic fields cant effect glass. I need a lead 12 meter min so without this option I have no option.
I recommended this product.

literally just moved the TV a couple of metres and cable in the process broke, the flimsiest wire ever. Apple chargers, which are notorious for breaking are better than this. Will definitely reconsider my next TV purchase, will go with either LG or Sony.
