What I don’t like is it doesn’t come with a manual so you have to download and print the manual. I love the app. because it lets you choose how to wash your clothes, towels and works with other Samsung products. The Smart things app. also took a little while to figure out but eventually I figured it out and have Learned a lot about electricity and how much our washer uses. It also tells you how it’s best to get odors out and how to get stains in. Finally the one thing I really don’t like about the washer is there is no line or directions to how much detergent to put into the holder.

We have had this set about 8 months now and I absolutely love it! In my opinion it is the best set currently being sold. I say this because I use a whole lot of washer and dryers! I own a vacation rental cleaning company and use several washer and dryers every day. This set by far tops them all! I also have 4 hairy dogs, 4 kids and a timber faller husband that brings home everything from the woods on his clothes, mud, wood chips plus gas and saw oil. This set never disappoints. We also love the app and all the helpful codes to help it keep running efficiently as possible.

That was until I chose to join the Samsung campaign and try out their new washer and dryer. I must say, I am astounded by the technology that is in the dryers now. It alerts us when it is done and when it needs additional time if something is lightly or heavily soiled. Our bills are also lower because we've cut down on washing time. The washer washes everything so quickly and the dryer is super efficient.
***Pardon the mess, Washers and Dryers accumulate a lot of mess under them over the years..***

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We switched to this Samsung front loading washer when our top loading washer broke. This is the first front loader that we ever had. What a difference in how bright and how fresh the laundry comes out, especially when using the steam cycles. I have many pets and reptiles so I use the steam sanitize very frequently. The wifi and smart controls are a game changer. I just wish you didn't have to push smart control for each time, but I guess you have to load the laundry anyway. I would recommend also getting the pedestal if you are tall or have back issues. We didn't at first, but ended up getting them after. All in all it is a great washer and we love it!

The washer started leaking after the first few uses which I thought it was due to overfilling the soap compartment. Then it started making loud noises with spins after a few months. Still thought that it is not a big deal until it stopped draining water a few days ago. My old washer lasted over 10 years and costed a few hundreds less. And of course the factory warantee just expired
The dryer sensor does not work well. Clothes are still damp and have to use the time dry feature which would take at least an extra 30 minutes for small/medium load after drying for 1 hour on dry sense which is ridiculous. The only good thing is the size

There are so many different settings it's a bit overwhelming. Learning as I go! They even play a little tune to let you know when the cycle is complete. Super quiet. It doesn't knock anything off the top of the washer during the spin cycle. There is a sanitizing cycle that I have been using to wash my work scrubs with. To help steam out all the hospital germs. With the wifi setting, I can put the clothes in the washing machine and start it remotely when the time is right. I have never been so excited to wash clothes in my life.

Plenty of water and powerful enough to thoroughly wash my clothes not just shift them around in 5 inches of water! I'm 80+ years old and it did take me a few minutes to read a few things and understand how they worked but worth the effort. I really like the spin only option which seems to be ignored by most manufacturers. The steam clean function works as promised, what a time and clothes saver. I have only put a few loads through but I am really pleased with this washer and dryer.

I want to report that after using it for a month, i willnever go back to plex (double washer with the top washer and front loading washer) or any other model. Our frequent laundry customers - our children and our 2 dogs- are super happy with the quick was. The short 19 min wash does amazing job and makes it so much easier on my very busy days!
I can also select the regular wash for things than dont need a short wash. Works very well! Many other settings including steaming and other options as on all other washing machines. Love this washer!

If you use the smart things app and link up the th washer, you can create "custom" cycles and load it up to the washer, spin the dial to downloaded cycle, it's all ready to go. You can also use the app to get updates on the current cycle or set it up to sense if you're home/delay between drying and have an additional rinse and spin at a later time to avoid any kind of moldy smell on the clothes. The washing performance has been great, has a built in heater to get really hot water.

First of all, its stunning 😍 Also, I love that I can connect it to smart things. The drum is very large to accommodate heavy loads. My favorite thing is the effectiveness of the washer. I have old clothes I use for cleaning because I thought they were permanently stained, but those stains came out since washing it this washer. I couldn't believe it! And yes, I used the same detergent, Gain powder, that I've used for years. I would recommend this washer and the matching dryer.

On the positive side, the Super Speed cycle is incredibly fast when you're in a rush, and the steam feature works really well for sanitizing and lifting light stains. However, the connectivity feature is very unreliable and doesn’t work half the time, making the smart features highly frustrating to use. Additionally, the overall efficiency and standard cycle times leave a bit to be desired, and it doesn't always clean quite as thoroughly on normal settings as I expected. I bought this machine in November of 2024 for the brick. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. We have tried many different cycles, many different detergents and nothing gets our clothes clean. Even the most basic of dirt stains do not come clean.
I called to for a satisfaction guarantee or to try to return the units I am that upset with them and they gave no options other than to change detergents again . We bought the matching dryer and have trouble with it as well. Nothing comes out dry, needs multiple cycles and the lint vent is extremely difficult to be cleaned out .
Honestly wish I never purchased these machines. Spent a lot of money to not be satisfied.

We bought this last March. After 13 months the washer quit. Now we have clothes stuck inside and the door is locked. Have the same similar issue with their dishwasher. It quit working. Imagine the frustration when it only has a one year warranty. We also have Samsung microwave, stove and fridge. Done with Samsung

I am extremely happy with this washer. I actually own the exact same model at my second home, so this is my second experience with this unit—and both have performed exceptionally well. The washer cleans thoroughly, runs reliably, and leaves clothes smelling fresh every time.

I can't believe how quick this cycle is and my clothes still come out great. The smart technology is great. It allows me check the cycle status from my refrigerator. It also lets you know when it is time to clean the drum. I really enjoy the lack of vibration. This washer is very quiet, which is great because it is close to our bedroom. Overall I'm very impressed and loo forward to trying out some of the other options. I would definitely recommend this washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Connectivity on the washer is great doesn’t ever Disconnect from Wi-Fi and always sends my smart devices alerts when the clothes are ready The capacity is amazing if it’s usually all of my clothes, and I have generally big load aside from separating for colors and whites and because of the space, it allows all of the clothes to be washed efficiently and I don’t have to worry about anything being tumbled in another or not enough space for them to swish around after every wash I always notice my clothes are clean after the first go around and the steaming features a plus I don’t use as often, but it definitely comes in handy sometimes when I have to steam some dress clothes while I’m in the shower, getting ready for work

More controls than you will ever use. I love the settings and use the steam when I can. I also like that I can add rinse and presoak cycles. Very quiet, and does not shake a lot on spin like some do. I also like the app that tells you when the cycle has ended. I have washed some light sirs all the way to moving blankets, This unit just works. Clothing and blankets come out clean. What else could you want in a washer.

I have a lot of guests and the ability to clean blankets and comforters is a priority. A front loader is better. I had a model that did have an odor problem which I have not experienced with the new Samsung. i believe the technology is better now. It, a different brand, broke down eventually and I bought the Samsung extra capacity machine. The preloaded cycles are better and make sense but can still be modified if you wish easily.The clothes are very clean. It has no trouble with heavy items like jeans. So far no socks have disappeared either!
I am only uploading a photo of my awful old basement with the lovely new washer because the review required a photo.

I was apprehensive about switching to a front loader washer based off my freinds and families previous experiences, however that was unfounded. The new technological advances of anti microbial seals and smart home conectivity, large capacity size, superior water and energy efficiency won me over. This cleans substantially better than our older LG top loader and uses a significant amount less water and detergent to do it. My wife is just getting used to using her phone for smart home products and quickly realized she likes the ability to get a notification on status, as well as downloading additional settings to the machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving the bigger capacity (I replaced a 4.5cuft Samsung that continuously kept going unbalanced and wouldn’t finish the spin cycle). Despite the disappointment of the old model, I didn’t hesitate to purchase another Samsung because as a family of 5 it was well-used over the 8 years we owned it. The new model runs quietly and is sleek. If a washing machine can be beautiful, it is! I took off one star because, as with the older models, the cycle complete tone is just a bit too much. When guests hear it for the first time they always laugh (as we did the first time 8 years ago!) but it gets old! Way too long! Wish there was a way to shorten it or have options for the notification but silence is the only other option as far as I know.

If you have the dryer you're able to stack them on top of each other which is nice as well. As far as how it works...all of my clothes have been left feeling fresh and clean. There doesn't seem to be any residual soap residue or funny smells. My favorite part about this washer is hold little sound the machine makes when it's running. Sometimes I'm not sure if it's even running and have to double check. One of my other favorite parts of this washer is the fact that it's all connected to my other Samsung devices so I get notifications right on the TV when my laundy is done! So handy!
Overall I have no complaints and I truly love this washer.

i already had the smartthings app installed which detected both units on the first try and started working flawlessly. i enjoy the convenience of phone notifications when cycles are complete. speaking of which, there are more cycle options than i will ever use.
this front-loading set has everything you could ask for and more!

I have a child and husband at home so I do a lot of laundry, and this had cut the amount of loads I have to do in half. There are many different options to choose including express wash, deep clean, delicate, normal and a few others. You can choose your water level, spin speed, and temperature. This washer cleans our clothes so well and leaves them fresh smelling, it also cleans my king sized comforter very well without making it deformed. I highly recommend this washer!

Although it has this feature, please keep in mind you have to clean and maintain it as well. What I love most is that it alerts my phone when the cycle is over. This is a great feature for people who get sidetracked and forget they have a load in the wash. I've always loved Samsung products. My last washer was a hand-me-down Samsung and lasted over 10yrs from the 5 or 6yrs from my brother and his wife.

It was easy to connect via Bluetooth to my phone and my other Samsung product so I get an alert on my phone and on my TVs so I can multitask. The washer cycles help a lot with faster loads if I have smaller loads And longer loads for larger loads . I don't have the water hooked up so I don't use my steam feature but I imagine that it would be great to have If I did have the water hooked up to it.

Avoid samsung washer and dryer. These have been the biggest headaches we have ever had. Bought them brand new a couple years ago. And a year after owning them (of course after the warranty) everything begins to fail. First the dryer sensors and fuses blow, have to repair that almost every month. Now that the dryer is working, the washer is now out of service... drain pump failed. I wish we kept the old LGs ones that came with the house... save yourself the hassle and headache, no matter what sale is going on, DON'T DO IT!

I’m very happy with my Samsung Washer. The capacity is excellent and easily handles large loads. It runs very quietly and no vibration, which is a huge plus, and the design looks modern and stylish. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s water retaining in the detergent dispenser after the wash, and underneath the rubber weather strips where the front door closes. Googled online there’s a lot of people complain it will developing mildew. Have to wipe out and keep the door open until dry after each use. However, you can’t completely wipe off the moisture under the door rubber seal strip. Also, expensive high efficient detergent required for each washing, otherwise suds are underlying for possible damage to the washer and void the warranty.

It got to a point to where doing laundry was an extra load! (Pun intended lol) I was done with that junk and decided to purchase this washer. The machine is beautiful! The installation is very easy and the washing cycles a very quiet! I didn’t know my washer was finished until I heard the finish jingle. (That can be turned off). My clothes are much cleaner, they come out almost dry and it dissolves the scented booster pebbles completely. Something the other washer did NOT do!!! I am Extremely happy with this purchase and can’t wait to try the steam wash!!

Much quieter operation and we haven't had to worry about whether or not it is filling properly. Slightly more capacity than our 4.7cu ft, but that was intentional to make sure we don't over do it since we're switching over from top load to front load. No issues with balancing loads so far, and loads are coming out cleaner. I like that I can use my smart things app to see status and get notifications when loads are complete.

I absolutely love it. The steam feature is great. If I have something that is wrinkled, I just pop it in and in a few minutes is ready to wear. It washes my large king size comforter with room to spare. It doesn't get it all twisted up. Everything is just so clean. My previous Samsung washer was still going strong after 5 years so I gave it to my daughter.

It’s very quiet sometimes it feels like it’s not even running at all. We have the ivory color and they look beautiful together with dryer. Strongly recommend you add your washer to the SmartThings app to get all washer information including any problems that the washer detects or when it’s time to do a self clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a great efficient washer. We use it so much in fact, that the drain filter get clogged frequently. I’m giving it 4 stars, because I believe Samsung fell short. You have to open an access door to remove the filter and have a drain hose and a catch pan, but plan on making a huge mess when you do this. After you attempt to completely drain the machine and unscrew the filter a huge amount out water comes pouring out. I wish this was better designed to make it more convenient!

Now I can get twice as much laundry in half the time and the anti vibration technology is a massive improvement. Now my house doesn't feel like the walls are going to collapse when I put in a heavy load of towels. The display has a nice design as well, but I do wish it had actual buttons instead of touch sensitive.

The connectivity is nice since my house is two stories and I can easily have my kids load and start washer while I send the washer the cycle I want from downstairs. The efficiency gives me cleaner clothes than my top load washer I had prior, and the speed makes doing laundry ten times faster since I can see on the app and washer itself. I can’t wait to use the steam function on my washer just have not had the chance yet.

When it works it's great. I like the steam options.
BUT, ours has had a failure in the door latch, the control board also had to be replaced. AND NOW AFTER VERY LOAD BANGING ON SPIN CYCLE I have found that the weight balance had a bolt broken and the plastic encased concrete weight broke so that the top of the heavy weight was completely free banging around on spin.
I have had to figure out ordering the replacement parts on my own. Wondering what the next breakdown will be.

It is large enough for anything you might throw at it without being too large on the outside like other machines same size. Steam cleaning is very good and helped with stubborn stains that did not come out otherwise. It is Energy Star rated so with the prices going up that helps. Wi-Fi connectivity is amazing, it really helps speed thing up and you can start it from work. That way you only wait for the dryer instead of both. The app also helps chose the right washing cycle, easier to chose what you want. Super speed wash is great, saves time and actually works. Other brands with quick wash do not work as good and end up doing it twice. All in all it is an amazing washer and would recommend it to anyone.

The only issue I have is the "Smart Control". I would like to be ble to use it froma remote area without having to select "Smart Control" on the washer before I leave home. It has worked great the entire time and has been very reliable. The capacity is one of my favorite features since it easily handles large loads like comforters and towels, which saves me a lot of time.
The connectivity is very convenient—I have it connected to my Alexa, and it announces when the cycle is done, which is super helpful when I’m busy around the house. It’s also very efficient, using less water while still getting clothes clean.
The speed is solid overall, especially with the strong spin cycle that helps clothes dry faster. It does include a steam feature, but I personally don’t use that setting.
Overall, this washer has been dependable, efficient, and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

The super speed setting is awesome especially if your daughter really wants to wear her disney princess outfit she just got nasty. Full load in 28 minutes and they come out very dry. Its nice to look at its a shame mines in the basement. I'm still learning the smartthings feature. I definitely recommend its also very quiet compared to my last washer and dryer I had. I bought this set about a month ago and I am more disappointed in the quality than anything. Let me start of by saying my previous set lasted set years without a single dent, this washer and dryer set is made so cheaply that you can’t even set a bottle of laundry detergent on it without it getting a dent and scratches, no there was nothing on the bottle that should have caused any scratches or dents but there is a dent and scratches already, the front of the washer looks like it’s not lined up correctly and the metal on the front of the washer looks like it is bowing in somehow. I would not have bought this set if I knew how cheap the materials to make it must be.
It’s working but i honestly expected much better quality from Samsung.
The features that it has are pretty cool but I am very disappointed in the design quality and durability.

I love the numerous options for water temp, spin, soil level, etc... The only concern that I have with this washer is the softener compartment in the drawer. When I add the softener it seems to immediately go into the washer at the first wash rather than when it is rinse time. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

I like that you can link the washer and dryer to your phone with smart things especially since my set is in my basement I no longer have to run up and down my stairs to check if it’s done. I was timid about buying a front load washer due to potential flooding of my home. I live in a small rustic log cabin, where the world is still 20 years behind. But I am not behind the times. This washer has exceeded my expectations by how easy it was to learn how to use it. Unlike older top loading washers, I was pleasantly impressed to see that the drum saves water by spraying the clothes a little at the time, then rotates to wet the clothing as it throughly goes about its cycles. My worries were happily resolved the drum does not full up the whole drum before washing. It greatly saves water. But the greatest point is the washer’s app. I can go about my daily business, still watch over the operation & control of our clothes just by looking at the app on my phone.

We were going to get a different brand hoping for better longevity but overall, it was a good washer for 8 years and Samsung offered an extended 2 year warranty.
