[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good while it works. I bought this about 2 years ago for my ps5 to increase storage. It was perfect because I was able to store more games on my console.. However, about 2-3 months ago, when I turned on my ps5, an error message would come up saying my data is corrupted so I would proceed to reformat it and I would get an error message several times that it cannot reformat it. I'm assuming the heatsink was not adequate enough to dissipate the heat and it fried the NVMe (I couldn't warranty it out since it had been more than 1 year) . So it's great while it lasted but be weary of it not working after a period of time due to the heatsink.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought the item a few months ago for my PS5 because to me, the console didn't seem like it had enough. I was constantly removing things to switch to a different game I wished to play. I ordered the SSD to fix that problem and that's what it did, it was a simple and easy install that took a few minutes and honestly feels like there is no difference in speed that the console has for storage. I do not regret buying this product and would honestly recommend the item if someone is looking for something to expand their storage on. I do know that if it's ever used for a PC, it seems like there is more features available but to me, just the speed and amount of space available is enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 980 PRO w/ Heatsink PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 2TB is a powerhouse for gaming PCs and high-performance computing. Its standout feature is the blazing-fast read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s, which significantly reduces load times and enhances overall system responsiveness. The integrated heatsink effectively manages heat, ensuring consistent performance without thermal throttling, even during intense gaming sessions. While it comes at a premium price, the combination of speed, thermal management, and reliability makes it a worthwhile investment for serious gamers and tech enthusiass like myself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my main Windows Drive. 6999MB/s sequential read and 5217Mb/s sequential write 461181 IOPS Random Read and 305664 IOPS random write The drive runs very cool around 30 degree C. Note that I am not using it for any data analysis or content creation. I am an normal user who games occassionally. The main thing is cloning from the existing NVME hosting Windows drive to this 2TB Gen4 drive was breeze. The Samsung Magician took care of the cloning as well as organizing the recovery partition at the start of the drive without any instructions. Overall very good software support by Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this 980PRO w/ Heatsink as a Christmas Present. Did not know what to expect since this is the first SSD of ANY type I have ever used or installed. This was a perfect fit for my computer which I recently built a few months before Christmas with these exact specifications (PCIe 4.0, M.2, NVME). The 980PRO w/ Heatsink fit perfectly even with the included heatsink and mounted firmly. Couldn't be happier with this SSD, especially since boot times have went from over a minute or more to about 20 seconds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these back in December when I decided it would be the best option for the price. One was used on my PS5, the other on my PC. Both of them work great and load insanely fast compared to any storage device I ever used. They also have a lot of storage, coming in at 2 terabytes. This is the best value for any SSD that you could ever own. I was also able to transfer my data from my old hard drive to this, and it was really quick and simple. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an SSD!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 6 months ago for my PS5 Digital and it is amazing! The load speed for the games is better than the factory memory that comes in the PS5. Since I have the digital version of the PS5 I have to download all my games and the write speed is great so downloads are a breeze! I just wish I purchased this sooner since I missed out on some free games because I didn't have enough memory to get them. Also since this comes with a heatsink I don't have any worries about my PS5 overheating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright so I've used plenty of ssd and m.2 drives before I've built plenty of computers but I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and ease of use that accompanies this drive I was skeptical of the pre installed heat sink that comes with the drive but after some various heavy load tests it seamed to be extremely reliable and despite the heat sink being on the larger side the drive was still just as simple to install as basically plug in play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 2 of these memories for the ps5. They're really easy to install with few tools needed. They work great with both ps5 I've installed them in. They're just as fast or faster than the original memory. The 2tb of space is absolutely recommended it's a luxury to install multiple large games without worrying about space which with games getting larger is nice. Plus with the larger size you don't worry about slowing transfer speeds either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely loving this SSD. It runs incredibly smooth and the 2 TB feels so good to have available on the fast SSD. So worth upgrading from the smaller and less powerful other Samsung SSD I had. My PC doesn't have the best cooling system considering it's placement so everything helps and I do believe this heatsink edition has helped my PC run smoother. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone, I think the price is fire too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unbelievably fast! Coming from a Gen 3x4 crucial drive, this blows by it without breaking a sweat! Windows 11 loads in under 15 seconds. Moving from one drive to this one, it writes faster than the old drive can read and, with the motherboard heat sink installed, barely reaches 60 degrees C! A no brainer for any creative work loads. Gen 5 maybe faster than this gen 4, but for my use, would be an absolute waste.

I have owned this product for nearly a year now and I am pleased with its performance on my PlayStation 5. I intend to purchase the 990 model in the future when its price decreases for my other PlayStation 5. At the time of my purchase, the 980 Pro offered the best value for money compared to other brands, which is why I chose it without hesitation. Many of my friends also recommended it over other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in November of 2023 for my PS5, all I can say is "Amazing product". To this day I haven't had any problems with it. No over heating, no nothing. I was worried with what to expect, as I heard that performace would decreade when storing in an external SSD due to speeds, but to my relief their is no difference on performance when playing games stored in the SSD. Overall Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this over a year ago and it works like a dream. Installing it into my ps5 was super easy, I had never done anything like that before so if I can do it, you can too. You need a lot of storage especially with the size of games these days. They can range anywhere from just a few GBs to over 100GBs so being able to have 2TB of extra storage is a game changer and a lifesaver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Samsung 980 PRO 2TB with heatsink for my PS5, and I'm really happy with it. It was easy to install, and I now have a lot more space for games without worrying about deleting anything. Loading times are just as fast as the console, everything feels just as smooth, and I haven't had any issues so far. It's definitely worth it if you want more storage for your device.

And that too drives pretty much since they've ever come out, never had any issues with any of them. Aside from upgrading space or rather storage, fantastic warranty in great reliability. I’m using this for my PS5 and the install was nice and quick as well as the set up. Using it was seamless. You would never notice the difference between this and the internal PS5 SSD - Performance is great! Only gripe is that i wish there was a larger storage option - I have all my games digitally downloaded and could really use the space!

No difference in games stored on the console or saved on 990 Pro...I have a ludicrous amount of games saved on my PS5 and I never have to delete if I want to go back to play or when I have couch co-op games for when family members are over and we want to play Diablo 3, The Quarry, or just Catan.

Loading times on have are super fast, the amount of games I'm able to download and store is incredible. Also, with have the heat sink addition i have never had any overheating. It is definetly worth the purchase. I couldn't imagine gaming on my PS5 without it. -JC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this for my PS5, and I couldn’t be happier! It's a game-changer for storing my titles. With the increasing size of games these days, keeping them all can be a challenge. But the transfer speeds are just phenomenal—everything is so quick and seamless. I can finally save so many more games without any hassle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this item for a whole three years now and not once did i have to worry about storage. I have stored games that would take up just the normal storage in my ps5 causing me to delete things just so I can have space for other games I have purchased. This item is worth the price and you can never go wrong with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got one for a playstation, intending to upgrade my memory. At a discount the price was right for the model but I would suggest 990 or better if you can get a comparable offer or better. There is not much to say about irs function except that it does not seem to underperform, no heating issues and no data loss so far.

Years later though I ended up completely rebuilding my PC and now was finally able to put it in! And I gotta say, very fast loafing times on my big ol games. Nearly impossible to play Allan wake 2 without it!

This drive was fantastic for the time that it worked. I have owned many SSDs and M.2s and perhaps I have gotten lucky but all of them but this one outlasted the computer they were in. This drive completely failed almost 2 years to the day it was purchased. Trying to get warranty services has been problematic so far.

This was good when I first bought it from another seller but was disappointed when it crashed and would not work again.. Only had it for 2 years and 5 months in a ps5 with a heatsink. Went with a different product as i was going to rebuy this one but decided not to as it didn't last very long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 2TB NVMe SSD for my PS5 since it only came with ~600gb of usable space. The PS5 requires a read speed of at least 5500mb/s in order to be compatible. There are a lot of cheaper options available, but from a less known brand and you usually have to add your own heatsink to it. This SSD comes with the heatsink preinstalled and looks better than any 3rd party heatsink option available. I was also pleasantly surprised by the read speeds. The SSD has a theoretical speed of up to 7000mb/s but I knew you'd likely need a high end PC for that. Earlier reviews of this product stated you needed to do a firmware update in order to get the best speed possible, which was concerning for me since my PC is outdated and doesn't have a NVMe slot in the motherboard to test. Luckily, I was able to plug and play this SSD into my PS5 (box showed my SSD was produced on 1/30/23). Upon booting up, the PS5 will recognize the SSD and ask to format the drive. After formatting, I was able to get read speeds of 6500 mb/s (even faster than the PS5 stock drive)! If you're looking for a quick plug and play SSD for your PC/PS5, this is it!
