Storage

Washers can be damaged if water is not removed from hoses and internal components before storing them. Water can freeze if the washer isn't stored in a climate controlled space. This will damage internal parts and result in operational failure. The moisture from residual water in the washer helps all of the hoses, valves, and other parts grow little fuzzy patches of mold and mildew. Though little fuzzy patches sound kind of cute, they're actually super gross and cause horrific odors. So it's very important to store the washer properly.

Prepare your washer for storage

Note: Do not store the washer where it could be exposed to the weather.

Prepare my 6.9 total cu.ft. FlexWash Washer (WV60M9900AV) for long-term storage or moving?
1 Run an empty RINSE + SPIN cycle with no laundry additives added.
2 After the cycle, turn off the water supply and disconnect the water hoses.
3 Turn off the washer, and unplug the power cord.
4 Open the doors and wipe all moisture inside the drum and tub.
5 Leave the doors open to let air circulate.
6 Once dry, the washer is ready to be stored.
