Galaxy Note8: How do I set the date and time on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (SM-N950W)?

Date and Time


Anybody got the time? You always will when you set it on your Note8. You can set the date, time, and time zone on your phone manually or have it done automatically. You can keep track of your busy schedule when you have the date and time at your fingertips. Never lose track of time again with your Note8.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Automatic Date and Time


Set the date and time yourself? Nobody’s got time for that. Let your phone do the work for you. This is all you have to do:

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Scroll to and touch General management.

4. Touch Date and time.

5. Touch the slider next to Automatic date and time to turn it on:

Note: This feature is activated by default.

Manual Date and Time


Note: Maybe you always like your clock set 2 minutes fast. These instructions are for you. You can manually set the date, time, and time zone to whatever you’d like.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Scroll to and touch General management.

4. Touch Date and time.

5. Turn off Automatic date and time by touching the slider.

6. The following settings are available:

   • Set date: Manually set the month, day, and year.

   • Set time: Manually set the hours, minutes, and AM/PM.

   • Select time zone: Manually set your time zone.
