Galaxy Note8: How do I use App pairing on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (SM-N950W)?

App pairing

App Pairing lets you open two of your favorite apps in split screen view in a jiffy. Create your favorite combination of apps to open in split screen view and staple them together for easy access in Apps Edge.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Create App Pairing

1. From any screen, open APPS EDGE by swiping the Edge panel to the left.

2. Touch the Add Shortcut icon.

4. Select two apps from the list of apps available. The first app will appear at the top and the second app will appear at the bottom when opened in split screen view.

Note: Not all apps support split screen view.

5. Touch DONE.

6. Touch Home.

7. To use the App Pairing you've just created, open Apps Edge by swiping the Edge panel to the left.

8. Touch the apps pair you created.

9. Start multi-tasking all you want!

Remove Shortcuts from Apps Edge

Note: If you need space to create more useful combinations, you can remove the shortcuts that you don’t use frequently. Regular app shortcuts can be removed the same way from Apps edge.

1. From any screen, open APPS EDGE by swiping the Edge panel to the left.

2. Touch and hold the shortcut you want to remove.

3. Drag the shortcut to Remove.
