Sync data across your Samsung devices using Samsung Cloud

Sync data across all of your Samsung devices using Samsung Cloud

You can make sure your phone's data is up-to-date with Samsung Cloud. It will sync data on multiple devices, so they will have the latest information. For example, if you added a new Calendar event or take a picture on your phone, they will appear on other devices that are signed into the same Samsung account.

Note: Information provided applies to devices sold in Canada. Not all countries or carriers support this service. Available screens and settings may vary for smartphones sold in other countries.

Sync your data

Note: Content will not automatically sync if your Cloud storage is full.

You can customize which apps automatically sync. For this purpose, navigate to and open Settings, tap your name at the top of the screen, and then tap Samsung Cloud. Tap the More options icon (the three vertical dots), and then tap Settings. Tap Sync and auto backup settings.

Sync your data

Tap the Sync tab. Next, tap the switch next to your desired app or apps to turn auto sync on or off for them. Some apps you can sync include Contacts, Calendar, and Bluetooth.

If you want to manually sync everything right now, simply tap Sync now.

Note: Enabling Auto back up or Syncing your data manually also ensures that your Cloud storage account is safe from deletion. Any accounts or categories such as contacts, calendars, photos, videos, keyboard data, etc. that are not used within a 12-month period could be subject to deletion.

Sync using Wi-Fi or Mobile data

By default, your apps will only sync to Samsung Cloud when your phone has a Wi-Fi connection. But you can make them automatically sync using mobile data, so you will not miss anything.

Navigate to and open Settings, tap your name at the top of the screen, and then tap Samsung Cloud. Tap Synced apps. Tap the switch next to your desired apps to turn syncing for them on or off.

Note: If the switches are not available, tap Turn on Auto sync, at the bottom of the screen, and then tap Turn on to confirm.

Sync using Wi-Fi or Mobile data

To change the sync settings, tap Sync using, and then choose Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Note: Data charges may apply if the "Wi-Fi and mobile data" option is selected.
