Screen Brightness


You can adjust the brightness and timeout of your device's display, or allow it to adjust automatically depending on light levels.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Adjust Display Brightness


Note: Turning on automatic brightness and reducing the screen timeout can assist with battery conservation.

From the Notification Panel

1. Swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom to open the Notification Panel.

2. The display brightness adjustment bar is just below the Quick Panel shortcuts.

3. Mark the Auto checkbox to turn on automatic brightness.

4. Touch and slide the bar to the right for a brighter screen or to the left for a darker screen.


From the Display Settings

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 3 .

2. Touch Settings 3 .

3. Touch Display 3 .

Note: It may be necessary to scroll down and touch Display 3 under the Device tab.

4. Touch and slide the Brightness level bar to the right for a brighter screen or to the left for a darker screen.

5. Mark the Auto checkbox to let the device adjust the display brightness based on your environment.

Adjust Screen Timeout


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 3 .

2. Touch Settings 3 .

3. Touch Display 3 .

Note: It may be necessary to scroll down and touch Display 3 under the Device tab.

4. Touch Screen timeout.

5. Select the desired delay from 15 seconds of no activity up to 10 minutes.

Note: Turning on automatic brightness and reducing the screen timeout can assist with battery conservation.
