Why dig through your contacts when you have Direct Call? Just hold the phone up close to your ear and the contact whose message or contact detail is on the screen will be dialed. It’s really that easy.

Enable Direct Call
Set the device to make a voice call by picking up and holding the device near your ear while viewing message or contact details.
The “Direct call” feature is not available anymore if your device has been updated to Android version 9.0 (Pie). It has been replaced by the “Lift to wake” feature, which allows to turn your screen on (to the Lock screen) when you raise your phone. If you add biometrics to your lock screen, you might be able to turn the screen on and unlock the device by lifting your device and looking at it.
