Gear VR - Pair and Manage the Controller of the Gear VR (SM-R325)

To use the controller, it must be paired with your mobile device. You can pair the controller through the Oculus app or your phone's Bluetooth menu. This is a quick and easy process unless you forget to put batteries in the controller. So don't forget the batteries!

Pair the Controller using the Bluetooth MenuClick to Expand

1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, navigate to the Apps screen.

2. Touch Connections.

3. Touch Bluetooth.

4. To enable Bluetooth, touch the slider.

5. To enter pairing mode on the controller, press and hold the Home button on the controller.

6. From your mobile device's Bluetooth menu, touch Gear VR Controller.

7. Touch ACCEPT.

8. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the controller.

1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, navigate to the Apps screen.

2. Touch Oculus.

3. Touch More.

4. Swipe to and touch Controllers.

5. Touch Turn on Bluetooth.

6. To confirm, touch YES.

7. To enter pairing mode on the controller, press and hold the Home button on the controller.

8. On your mobile device, touch Pair.

9. Touch ALLOW.

10. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the controller.

Switching Between Right or Left HandedClick to Expand

Right handed? Left handed? No panic, your Gear VR controller can accommodate both!

1. Press and hold Back on the side of the Gear VR or on the controller to access the Universal Menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Right Handed or Left Handed to change the setting to the other hand.

You feel like the pointer if off? No worries, you can easily recalibrate the controller of your Gear VR.

1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, navigate to the Apps screen.

2. Touch Oculus.

3. Touch More.

4. Swipe to and touch Controllers.

5. You can select whether you are right handed or left handed. For additional settings, select your controller.

7. To recalibrate your controller, touch Recalibrate.
