Resetting an app


If an app is unresponsive, you can clear the app data. Clearing the app data can also free up your memory space. By using this function, you do not have to uninstall an app or reset your device to factory settings.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.

Clear app cache


1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch Apps.

4. Swipe to and touch the desired app.

5. Touch Storage.

6. Touch CLEAR CACHE.

Clear app data


Important: Clearing the data will reset the app to factory default settings. Any personal settings or files saved on the app will be removed.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch Apps.

4. Swipe to and touch the desired app.

5. Touch Storage.

6. Touch CLEAR DATA.

7. Touch DELETE to confirm your decision.

Factory data reset


Note : It is possible to clear the application data and cache for all apps in one operation. This procedure is called “Factory data reset“.

From Settings, search for and select Factory data reset. Next, touch Factory data reset again, and then review the information. When you're ready, swipe to and touch RESET. If you have a security lock set on the phone, you will be asked to enter the credentials. To delete all information and downloaded apps, touch DELETE ALL. Your phone will reset; when it turns back on, it will start from the initial setup screen.
