Mobile Hotspot

The Mobile Hotspot feature lets you share your mobile device’s data connection with other devices by turning your device into a wireless access point other Wi-Fi® enabled devices can connect to. You can connect multiple devices via Wi-Fi.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Turn On the Hotspot

Important: Using your mobile device as a wireless access point or wireless modem is data-intensive and will dramatically reduce battery life. We recommend contacting your wireless service provider to ask about availability with your plan. We also recommend keeping your device plugged in while the hotspot is on.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

2. Touch Settings .

3. Touch Mobile hotspot and tethering 1.

4. Touch Mobile hotspot.

5. Review the infomration and touch Enable Wi-Fi sharing to share your Wi-Fi network.

6. Touch the slider Curseur Off to turn Mobile Hotspot on Curseur On.

Note: A specific icon Hotspot is displayed on the top left corner when Mobile Hotspot is on.

Configure the Hotspot

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

2. Touch Settings .

3. Touch Mobile hotspot and tethering 1.

4. Touch Mobile hotspot.

5. Touch MORE then Configure Mobile hotspot.

6. Enter or edit the Network name, select the Security type, and enter or edit the Password.

7. Touch SAVE to continue. The hotspot might turn off and turn back on with the newly configured settings.

Connect to the Hotspot

To connect to your hotspot from another device:

1. Turn on the Wi-Fi feature on the device you want to connect to your hotspot.

2. Search for your hotspot using the network name shown in the Configure Mobile hotspot screen, and enter the necessary information.

USB tethering

Your mobile device can be used as a wireless modem to share its mobile data connection with a single computer.

1. Connect your device to your computer using the supplied USB cable.

2. From the Home screen, touch Apps .

3. Touch Settings .

4. Touch Mobile hotspot and tethering 1.

5. Touch the slider Curseur Off to turn USB tethering on Curseur On.

Note: A specific icon USB tethering is displayed on the top left corner when USB tethering is on.
