Galaxy Note9 - Turn Off Predictive Text on Samsung Keyboard (SM-N960W)
Ever feel like your keyboard knows what you’re going to type next? That’s because it almost does! Predictive text on the Samsung keyboard suggests words as you type based on previous word choice and usage. If you want to do all the thinking around here, you can just turn this feature off.
Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.
You may have noticed that words appear on top of the keyboard while you type. That’s Predictive text in action. While this feature was created to prevent spelling errors and let you type faster, you can turn it off at any time.
From Settings, search for and select Language and input, and then touch On-screen keyboard. Touch Samsung Keyboard and then Smart typing. Touch the slider next to Predictive text to turn it off.
